One Sweet Minute: April 2022 in Hershey, PA

Hello, April! The Sweetest Place On Earth has a lot of exciting things happening across the destination this month. Keep reading to see some of the highlights. 

Hersheypark  Open for Three-Weekend Springtime In The Park  Event

Coaster riding season has officially returned with the opening of Hersheypark on April 2 for Springtime In The Park. The three-weekend event takes place on April 2-3, 9-10, and 15-17, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. 

Guests can enjoy thrilling attractions like Skyrush, which turns ten this year, and family-friendly rides like the Ferris Wheel celebrating 25 years. Tickets also include photo opportunities with Hershey Characters outside Chevrolet Music Box Theatre and visits to ZooAmerica when accessing the zoo from inside Hersheypark during posted park hours. 

New this spring are sweet treats throughout the park, from a Kissing Tower King Size Shake at Simply Chocolate to a Lemon Raspberry Warm Ice Cream Sandwich at Milton’s Ice Cream Parlor and Carrot Cake Cupcake at The Sweeterie Confectionery Kitchen. 

The Chocolatier Restaurant, Bar + Patio will also showcase new seasonal items and desserts, including a Spring Garden Flatbread, Pinwheel Cake and Summer Peach Milkshake. The Chocolatier is open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. with special appearances by Coco, The Official Mascot of the Hershey Bears, on Thursdays from 5 to 7 p.m. Spring and summer reservations for The Chocolatier are available online.

ZooAmerica  Open Daily This Spring for Zoo Visits

A visit to the zoo is the perfect family activity for a beautiful spring day. ZooAmerica is open daily this month from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for guests to explore the wild of North America. 

Visitors may get the chance to see a new bull elk named John Henry, who arrived at ZooAmerica from Elk County Elk Farm in mid-March. 

Entrance to ZooAmerica is included in the one-price admission to Hersheypark when entered through the Hersheypark bridge during posted park hours. ZooAmerica Pass Holders can enjoy unlimited year-round visits to the zoo and 2022 Hersheypark Season Pass Holders get into the zoo for free, too. 

Entertainment Offerings for Guests of All Ages at GIANT Center  and Hershey Theatre

Enjoy the dazzling tricks and spins of skaters at Disney on Ice or Stars on Ice, experience the nostalgic songs of The Beach Boys or Elton John and rock out with Blue Man Group or Shinedown, all coming to GIANT Center and Hershey Theatre in April!
