Welcome, May! With summer right around the corner, The Sweetest Place on Earth has a ton of exciting things to do this month. Keep reading to see some of the highlights.
Hersheypark is Open For Summer
Hersheypark Happy continues this summer with thrilling roller coasters, family-friendly attractions, Hershey’s character hugs, over-the-top sweet treats and more!
Hersheypark is open for the summer season on weekends in May, with daily operations from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Tickets include three parks in one with classic family rides and coasters (weather and maintenance permitting), The Boardwalk at Hersheypark water park with over one million gallons of water (open May 28-September 5) and access to ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park when entered from inside the Park.
Guests can save on 1-day and 2-day tickets when purchasing online with the Everyone Pays Kids’ Price offer. Tickets are valid on any 2022 public operating day through Jan. 1, 2023.
2022 Hersheypark Pass Holders can enjoy unlimited visits this summer as part of their year-long perks.
The Chocolatier Restaurant, Bar + Patio, Milton's Ice Cream Parlor and The Sweeterie Confectionery Kitchen are all open daily in Hershey's Chocolatetown. Guests can enjoy sweet treats and savory eats throughout the summer season. Summer reservations for The Chocolatier are available online. Stay tuned for new summer menu items arriving soon.

A visit to the zoo is the perfect family activity on a lovely spring day. ZooAmerica is open daily in May for guests to enjoy the fresh air while seeing the North American animals. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from May 1-29 and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on May 30-31.
Reminder: Hersheypark tickets include entry to ZooAmerica only by accessing the zoo through the Hersheypark bridge during posted park hours. Those interested in visiting ZooAmerica in the morning before Hersheypark opens will have to purchase separate zoo admission tickets.
May brings a busy month of Broadway, comedy and concerts to Hershey Theatre! The month kicks off with a week-long engagement of “Hairspray” and concludes with a concert by singer-songwriter Ray LaMontagne. Check out the full lineup of events below!

Hershey Bears Begin Playoff Run
The Hershey Bears are ready to chase the Calder Cup this year. The American Hockey League's oldest and most decorated franchise has qualified for the 2022 Calder Cup Playoffs, and the Bears will battle the rival Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in the first round.
The club opens the playoffs on the road, but the Bears return home to host the Penguins for Game 2 on Sunday, May 8, at GIANT Center at 5 p.m. Tickets for that game are on sale NOW via Ticketmaster.
The complete first round playoff series is as follows:
- Game 1- Friday, May 6 at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza, 7:05 p.m. EST
