Hersheypark Halloween and Dark Nights Open Weekends Through October
Hersheypark amusement park is open on weekends through Oct. 29, 2023, for its Hersheypark Halloween seasonal event and Dark Nights immersive haunt experience, with new offerings both day and night.
Recently named one of the top 10 Best Halloween Theme Park Events in the country by USA TODAY 10Best, Hersheypark Halloween with Dark Nights features thrills on 50 rides and attractions (weather permitting), lights-out rides during the last hour of operation on the new, award-winning Wildcat’s Revenge hybrid coaster and other select coasters, Treatville trick-or-treat trail for children 12 and under, Hershey's Character Glow Dance Parties and more. Hersheypark Halloween event hours are 5-10 p.m. on Fridays, 12-10 p.m. on Saturdays and 12-9 p.m. on Sundays. Dark Nights begins each night at 6 p.m. and extends one hour after the Park closes - Fridays and Saturdays until 11 p.m. and Sundays until 10 p.m.
Darkness then sweeps over Hersheypark, beginning nightly at 6 p.m. with Dark Nights. The terrifying tales guests thought they knew are turning the page with all-new spins and evolved stories in five haunted houses, including the new Auntie Mortem’s Abattoir, and three Scare Zones, including the new Fallout Zone. New for this year, the haunted houses are included with a Hersheypark Halloween ticket, so guests can play by day and fright at night for an incredible value starting at just $49.99 plus taxes and fees when purchased online.
Hersheypark and Hershey’s Chocolatetown Offer Seasonal Dining Experiences
Guests visiting during Hersheypark Halloween and Dark Nights this month can indulge in more than 75 themed food items throughout Hersheypark and Hershey's Chocolatetown.
The Dark Nights Tasting Pass
The Dark Nights Tasting Pass includes a choice of up to five specialty menu items from more than 35 food and beverage options at more than 15 locations throughout the Park. Guests can purchase the Tasting Pass online or in person. They will receive a punch card to scan for each usage.
RIP Dinner Buffet: Meat The Monsters
Hersheypark Halloween guests can also purchase dining tickets to the RIP Dinner Buffet: Meat The Monsters at Great Scare Catering, which includes eerie entrées, desserts to die for and more, while some of the monsters “meat” you at your table. Guests who purchase the RIP Dinner Buffet will also receive a Single-Use Fast Track accepted at any of the five Dark Nights haunted houses and a Buy One Get One Hyperdeck Coupon, valid on the new Zombie-themed virtual reality game.
Spirit's Rooftop Bar
The Chocolatier Restaurant, Bar + Patio will continue to offer Spirit’s Rooftop Bar all month during Hersheypark Halloween and Dark Nights operating days, starting at 5 p.m. on Fridays and 3 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Guests who dare to explore can order new items from a delicious limited-time menu while enjoying haunted rooftop vibes. The Chocolatier patio entrance to Spirit's Rooftop Bar is only accessible inside Hersheypark on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are not accepted.
Don't forget- The Chocolatier is open daily in October for lunch and dinner, with reservations available all month. Guests can indulge in all-new fall menu items, including a seasonal salad, soup and flatbread, delicious desserts and more.
Creatures of The Night at ZooAmerica Starts October 13
ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park is open daily this month, with hours varying. Starting Oct. 13, ZooAmerica will offer its popular Creatures Of The Night event for guests to see the wild and fascinating animal activity that only happens after the sun sets.
ZooAmerica will be open for extended hours during Creatures Of The Night until 9 p.m. on Oct. 13-15, 20-22 and 27-29. It is the only time of year ZooAmerica is open after dark, so guests of all ages are encouraged to bring a flashlight and curiosity to explore the nighttime habits of the nocturnal North American animals.
Creatures Of The Night is included in the one-price admission to Hersheypark Halloween when accessing the Zoo from the bridge inside Hersheypark during posted Park hours. Separate admission is also available online or at the ZooAmerica admissions building.

Guests who book a stay at The Hotel Hershey the last three weekends of October can add on a sweet Halloween breakfast buffet with their favorite Hershey’s Characters dressed in costumes! The event is available for Hotel guests only and will be offered from 9-10:30 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays from Oct. 14-29. Advance reservations are required.
