Hello, May! With summer right around the corner, The Sweetest Place On Earth has a ton of exciting things to do this month. Keep reading to see some of the highlights.
Hersheypark Open Weekends in May
The spring season at Hersheypark amusement park continues on Fridays through Sundays in May, with daily operations kicking off on May 23, 2024. Hours vary by day.
Tickets include more than 50 family-friendly rides, including 14 thrilling coasters, weather and maintenance permitting. New for spring, coaster fans are sure to enjoy new ride experiences on two iconic coasters - Skyrush and Comet. Guests can also snap a selfie with select Hershey Characters and see new seals and sea lions at the Our Friends From The Sea Show inside the Aquatheatre.
Planning to visit during a Spring Weekend? Purchase a ticket on Hersheypark.com to save. If you are interested in visiting this summer, consider the Summer Fun Card, which includes unlimited visits from Memorial Day through Labor Day for $99 plus taxes and fees when purchased on Hersheypark.com before May 15.
The Boardwalk At Hersheypark Opens May 25
The Boardwalk At Hersheypark water park opens daily for the summer on Saturday, May 25, 2024. The 11-acre water park with 16 unique attractions is included in the one-price admission to Hersheypark amusement park through Sept. 2, 2024.
2024 marks 15 years since the “SEAquel” opened at The Boardwalk. The expansion included two new attractions - The Shore, a 378,000-gallon wave pool, and Intercoastal Waterway, a 1,360-foot lazy river - plus 27 private rental cabanas along the lazy river.

Concerts season is in full bloom this month as Hersheypark Stadium is set to kick off its longest Summer Concert Series to date during a historic 85th anniversary year! Check out all of the incredible shows coming to Hershey Entertainment venues throughout May. Several shows have limited seats available - so be sure to grab yours while you still can!

Dine at The Chocolatier
The Chocolatier Restaurant, Bar + Patio is open daily in May with reservations available for lunch and dinner throughout the month. Dive into all-new seasonal menu items this spring including a rib basket, flatbread, pasta dish, cocktails and more. Reservations are highly encouraged and can be made online.
Last chance for Bingo and Trivia! Gather your crew and join us Tuesday, May 7, 14, and 21, from 6-8 p.m. for fun trivia games while enjoying $10 house margaritas and epic taco food specials in addition to our entire menu. On May 8 and 22, guests can participate in Bingo from 6-8 p.m. and enjoy $8.95 shareables like BBQ Pulled Pork Nachos & Soft Pretzel Dippers, and a $10 Old Fashioned.
Guests visiting on Thursdays from 5-7 p.m. can hangout with Coco, the official mascot of the Hershey Bears and cheer on the team as they look to defend their title! Enjoy a free kids dessert with the purchase of a kids entree.
ZooAmerica Open Daily in May
ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park is open daily in May for guests to enjoy the sun and fresh air while seeing the North American animals, including Fern, the new female mountain lion. Visitors should stop by the admissions desk to learn about the Animal Of The Month, participate in an interactive activity during their visit and be entered to win a stuffed plushie.
The Zoo is open 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from May 1-26, 2024, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on May 27-31, 2024.
Reminder: Hersheypark tickets include entry to ZooAmerica only by accessing the Zoo through the bridge inside Hersheypark during posted Park hours. Those interested in visiting ZooAmerica in the morning before Hersheypark opens will have to purchase separate Zoo admission tickets online or at the Zoo Admissions Building.
Cheer On The Hershey Bears in the AHL Playoffs
The Hershey Bears will look to defend their Calder Cup title in their pursuit of their 13th American Hockey League championship! The Bears get set to open May with two home games against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms in the Atlantic Division Semifinals of the 2024 Calder Cup Playoffs. It’s a best-of-five series, with the first two games in Hershey.
Game 1 in Hershey is set for Wednesday, May 1 at 7 p.m., and Game 2 will be Saturday, May 4 at 7 p.m. If necessary, a decisive Game 5 would be Sunday, May 12 at 7 p.m.
