Hello, April! The Sweetest Place On Earth has a lot of exciting things happening across the destination this month. Keep reading to see some of the highlights. 

Visit Hersheypark  During Spring Weekends

After a long winter waiting for the return of coaster rides, Hersheypark will open this spring for its 117th operating year with more days than ever before. Beginning April 1, enjoy 8 fun-filled weekends of rides, coasters, Hershey characters, delicious eats, sweet treats and so much more! 

Guests can enjoy thrilling attractions like Great Bear, Skyrush and Candymonium as well as family-friendly rides like the Ferris Wheel, Carrousel and Dry Gulch Railroad. Tickets also include seeing the Hershey Characters or a show at the Aquatheatre and visits to ZooAmerica when accessing the zoo from inside Hersheypark during posted park hours.

Disney On Ice
April 1-2 at GIANT Center: Disney On Ice (times vary)

Disney On Ice presents Find Your Hero, an adventure filled with tales of heroism from your favorite Disney stories. See Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and stars from Moana, Frozen, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Tangled.

Welcome to “Hadestown”, where a song can change your fate. Intertwining two mythic tales — that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of King Hades and his wife Persephone — “Hadestown” is a haunting and hopeful theatrical experience that grabs you and never lets go.

April 12 at Hershey Theatre: Chicago (7:30 p.m.)

Hailed as one of the "most important bands in music since the dawn of the rock and roll era," the legendary rock and roll band with horns, Chicago, will visit Hershey Theatre on Wednesday, April 12. Don’t miss the opportunity to see the multi-Grammy award-winning band perform live. 

Jeff Dunham Still Not Canceled
April 13 at GIANT Center: Jeff Dunham (7 p.m.)

Jeff Dunham announced newly added dates to his “Still Not Canceled Tour,” including a stop in Hershey, Pa., on April 13. Dunham and his characters are finally back on the road, ready to provide a much-needed dose of absurdity given the times we live in. That is assuming he can convince his characters that they can no longer simply work from home.

April 14 at GIANT Center: Reba McEntire (6:30 p.m.)

Reba McEntire is extending her “Reba: Live in Concert” tour following a string of sold-out stops on the fall leg. Reba announced 14 additional dates set for spring of 2023, featuring special guests Terri Clark and The Isaacs. Tickets to see the legendary Reba in concert are selling fast, so get yours while they’re still available.

Joe Gatto, a well-known comedian, actor, and producer, is best known for the hit TV shows “Impractical Jokers” and “The Misery Index.” As one of the founding members of The Tenderloins Comedy Troupe, he has toured with a live comedy show to sold-out crowds worldwide, including legendary arenas, such as Madison Square Garden in New York and the O2 Arena in London.

April 22 at Hershey Theatre: Natalie Merchant (8 p.m.)

Natalie Merchant will embark on the U.S. tour this spring following the release of her ninth studio album, “Keep Your Courage,” on April 14, 2023. She began her musical career as the lead vocalist and lyricist of the pop music band 10,000 Maniacs, releasing several platinum records with the group.

April 23 at Hershey Theatre: Brit Floyd (7 p.m.)

Brit Floyd returns to the stage in 2023 to perform a brand-new production celebrating 50 years of the ground-breaking and iconic musical masterpiece "The Dark Side of the Moon." The Brit Floyd show has become a phenomenon, widely regarded as the world's greatest rock tribute show, complete with a stunning light show, iconic circular screen, lasers, and more.

April 30 at Hershey Theatre: Alice Cooper (8 p.m.)

Alice Cooper, a pioneer of a grandly theatrical brand of hard rock, is heading to Hershey, Pa., on the recently announced “Too Close for Comfort Tour.” Fans can expect to see the dark and horror-themed theatrics that he’s best known for.

April 8, 11 & 15: Cheer On The Hershey Bears

The Hershey Bears have clinched a spot in the 2023 Calder Cup Playoffs! Hershey’s chase for its AHL-best 12th Calder Cup will start later this month, but before then, the Bears will play three home games at GIANT Center, including great promotions. 

April 8: Hershey Bears vs Charlotte Checkers; Berks Ham Shoot Night - All fans are invited to take the ice to shoot for a chance to win a holiday ham! 

April 11: Hershey Bears vs Charlotte Checkers;  Fairview Golf Course Logo Chip Night - (First 4,000 fans), plus it’s TRULY Takeover Tuesday featuring drink specials and TRULY prizes at section 110. 

April 15: Hershey Bears vs Lehigh Valley Phantoms;  Fan Appreciation Night -  All fans will receive a scratch off card with a chance to win great prizes, and select fans will win a game-worn jersey right off the back of their favorite Bears player! 

A schedule for the 2023 Calder Cup Playoffs will be released later this month. Fans are encouraged to watch HersheyBears.com for opportunities to help cheer the Bears to a Calder Cup title. 

April 5, 6, 11, & 13: Hiring Events In Hershey

Hersheypark is now hiring for its 2023 season. Individuals interested in working in The Sweetest Place on Earth can apply, interview and get hired on the spot at a Hiring Event on Thurs., April 6 from 3-7 p.m. at Milton's Ice Cream Parlor at Hersheypark.

New Menu Items at Hersheypark

New this spring are delicious sweet and savory treats throughout the park, from all-new King Size Milkshakes and Philly Cheesesteaks to new ice cream at Milton's Ice Cream Parlor and fudge and cookies at The Sweeterie Confectionery Kitchen

The Chocolatier Restaurant, Bar + Patio also debuted new seasonal menu items, including a Pasta Primavera, S’mores Milkshake and 8 new cocktails. The Chocolatier is open daily with spring and summer reservations available online.

Visit ZooAmerica

ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park is open daily this spring for guests to visit over 200 animals native to the North American region. Explore the numerous habitats of this 11-acre wildlife park and be greeted by animals such as bears, alligators, big cats, snakes, otters and many more.

Guests can see daily animal activities, such as feedings, training sessions or enrichment opportunities on Monday-Friday at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday at 11 a.m. 1, p.m. and 3 p.m. Please note that animals and schedules are subject to change.

Entrance to ZooAmerica is free to all ZooAmerica Annual Pass Holders and Hersheypark Season Pass Holders. ZooAmerica admission is also included in the one-price admission to Hersheypark only by accessing the Zoo from the bridge inside Hersheypark during posted Park hours. Please note that ZooAmerica and Hersheypark hours vary. Guests interested in visiting ZooAmerica separately can purchase a daily admission ticket here.
