Springtime In The Park At Hersheypark Opens April 2

Three-Weekend Seasonal Event Marks Return of Coaster Riding Season

Hersheypark amusement park will welcome guests for another year of fun and chocolate starting April 2, 2022, with the opening of the Springtime In The Park event. The three-weekend event on April 2-3, 9-10, and 15-17, 2022, kicks off the 116th operating season at Hersheypark. Event hours for Springtime In The Park are 11-7. 

Springtime In The Park features family-friendly rides like the Ferris Wheel, which turns 25, and thrilling attractions like Skyrush coaster, which celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2022. Tickets also include photo opportunities with Hershey Characters outside Chevrolet Music Box Theatre and visits to ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park only by accessing the zoo through the Hersheypark bridge during posted park hours.

What's New This Spring

This spring, guests can enjoy new sweet and savory items throughout Hersheypark, including Kissing Tower and Reese’s King Size Shakes at Simply Chocolate dessert shop and Reese’s, Chocolate and Rainbow Sprinkle King Size Donuts available at Cookies & Donuts at 1906 Grill. 

In Hershey’s Chocolatetown region, The Chocolatier Restaurant, Bar + Patio will showcase new seasonal items and desserts, from a Spring Garden Flatbread to a Pinwheel Cake and Summer Peach Milkshake. The Chocolatier is open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. with spring and summer reservations available here.

Milton's Ice Cream Parlor will debut a Lemon Raspberry Warm Ice Cream Sandwich, Gyro Hot Dog and Mediterranean Grilled Cheese. The Sweeterie Confectionery Kitchen will feature a variety of spring-inspired confections including a Carrot Cake Cupcake, Chocolate Bunny Cake Pop and Coconut Creme Eggs.

Operations Update

Hersheypark is now cashless in an effort to create more convenient dining, retail and gaming experiences for guests. All major credit cards, Hersheypark gift cards, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, and Google Pay will be accepted. In place of cash, guests should consider purchasing an e-gift card before their Park visit. Guests who arrive at the Park with cash only can convert cash to prepaid debit cards at five Cash-To-Card kiosks throughout the Park at no fee. Prepaid cards can be used anywhere Visa is accepted. For games, guests will need to purchase a separate Gaming Card, which they can load via cashless payment at an in-Park Gaming Card kiosk.

Around Town

Indulge in spring relaxation at MeltSpa by Hershey day spa and The Spa At The Hotel Hershey resort spa with chocolate treatments and seasonal collections. Seasonal treatments at The Spa At The Hotel Hershey resort spa include the Milk & Honey Wrap, Herbal Meadow Sea Salt Scrub, Mojito Massage, and the Coconut Lime Rasmapolitan Manicure and Pedicure. Meltspa by Hershey day spa brings back the Coconut Lime collection for another season with treatments like a coconut lime body scrub, body wrap, immersion, manicure and pedicure. Chocolate treatments are available year-round. 

HERSHEY’S CHOCOLATE WORLD Attraction is open daily this spring with chocolate-themed events for the whole family. Guests can design and decorate their own cookie masterpieces, either in the HERSHEY’S Workshop or take to go on Saturdays and Sundays between March 5 and April 17, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Easter Bunny will make a special appearance for photo opportunities alongside the HERSHEY Characters on April 2-3 and 8-17, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. or 4:30 p.m. (varies per day). The Chocolate & Wine Pairing Experience will return for guests 21 and older on select weekends between April 9 and May 29, 2022; hours vary. 

Hershey Gardens is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. this spring, including Easter Sunday. Visitors to Hershey Gardens can enjoy the year-round Butterfly Atrium, where they'll walk among hundreds of butterflies from around the world in a lush, tropical setting.  In late spring, Hershey Gardens will host a tulip show that promises to be a vibrant display full of color, featuring more than 21,000 tulips and 25 new cultivars. Both experiences are included in admission. 

The Hershey Story Museum on Chocolate Avenue is also open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. this spring for guests to explore the history of Hershey in an educational and immersive environment. For an additional cost, guests ages five and older can participate in 45-minute chocolate-making classes at The Chocolate Lab with springtime themes like Egg-citing Chocolate Bark available from April 1 through April 30, 2022.  Tickets are sold in person only on the day of the class on a first-come, first-served basis.  Children are required to be 5 years old or older to enter the lab.
