First-Time Pass Holder Know Before You Go Tips
We’re counting down the days until we open for the 2023 Hersheypark operating season, with Spring Weekends starting April 1, 2023! We are excited to offer our guests more operating days than ever before with a range of operating hours throughout 2023 for those who like to visit us earlier at 10 AM or enjoy night rides through 10 PM on Fridays and Saturdays in late-June to mid-August. We are open every weekend from April 1, 2023 through Jan 1, 2024 with a combination of earlier opens and later nights for guests. Explore our calendar to pick the day that best suits your preference.
There’s no better way to gear up for another year of Hersheypark Happy than by purchasing a Season Pass with unlimited visits and sweet perks all year long. If you’re on the fence about purchasing Season Passes for your family this year, here are 10 reasons to buy now. Family fun, coaster rides and King Size Shakes are right around the corner. But if you already purchased a Season Pass and are ready to start visiting and utilizing your sweet benefits, check out some helpful tips below for new Season Pass Holders.
How-to: Pick up your physical Season Pass ID card
After you purchase your Season Pass online, you will receive a confirmation email with a PDF attached. Ensure you have this on hand when you pick up your ID card, so the Guest Services team can quickly scan your confirmation. Ticketing Services is open daily, so we recommend getting your physical Season Pass before your visit to avoid long lines on opening weekend.
Visiting before April 1, 2023, or when the park is not open:
- Head to the Hersheypark parking lot at 100 Hersheypark Drive, Hershey, Pa.
- Look for the parking booth with a green checkmark.
- Continue through the parking lot towards Tram Circle to the area closest to the front gate and The Chocolatier.
- Bring your confirmation email, printed or on your phone, to Ticketing Services, located outside the front gate.
- Hours are 10:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Visiting on days when the park is open:
- Head to the Hersheypark parking lot at 100 Hersheypark Drive, Hershey, Pa.
- Look for the parking booth with a green checkmark.
- Full/King Size Season Pass Pass Holders - show confirmation email to the parking attendant and park in the SPH lot when space is available.
- Bite Size Season Pass Holders - purchase a parking voucher before visiting through the Self-Service Account, show it to the attendant and park in the general parking lot.
- Bring your confirmation email, printed or on your phone, to Ticketing Services to have your picture taken and Season Pass printed.
Tip: If you arrive at the front gate and want to skip the line at Ticketing Services, head straight to the gate for entry. Show your confirmation email PDF with the QR code at the main gate, and once inside Hersheypark, visit an in-park Guest Services location to take a picture and receive your physical Season Pass. This can only be done one time in April or May so make sure to process your pass inside the park at a Guest Services location or on your way out!
FYI: Any Season Pass Holder who is looking to receive their 15% Game discount, please purchase a game card at Hersheypark Supply Co., Overlook Arcade, Play Dome Arcade, or any Guest Services location.
How-to: Create your Self-Service Account
After you purchase your Season Pass and receive your purchase confirmation email, we suggest creating a Self-Service Account. The account allows you to access a digital Season Pass (learn more about that below), link your family’s Passes and manage them in one location, purchase drink and dining plans, update account information, and more based on your tier.
King Size Season Pass Holders can redeem the Bring-A-Friend tickets in the Self-Service Account and purchase the exclusive black King Size souvenir cup. King Size and Full Size Season Pass Holders can purchase discounted tickets through the Self-Service Account. Bite Size Season Pass Holders must purchase their parking through the account to receive their 50 percent discount.
Reminder: For many of the monthly perks you receive with your Full/King Size Pass, you simply scan your Pass at the location to redeem.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to creating a Self-Service Account:
- Visit this URL and click “Create Account."
- Locate your Visual ID/Barcode Number on your Print-At-Home Season Pass Certificate.
- Enter the Visual ID/Barcode Number and your Last Name and click “Look Up Season Pass.”
- Create a password, then start exploring the Self-Service Account. Please note that the password must be at least 12 characters, alphanumeric, and include at least one uppercase and lowercase letter.
- Once you have created a Self-Service Account, you can log in anytime by clicking here.
How-to: Create a digital Season Pass in the Hersheypark app
As mentioned above, you can create a digital Season Pass to scan when you visit. To do this, follow these steps:
- First, download the Hersheypark App on your smartphone
- Click on the + More in the bottom right
- Choose Season Pass Self-Service Account and log in
- In the main navigation under Season Pass Options, click Digital Season Pass
- Show the digital Season Pass QR code at the entrance
Tip: When you log in on your phone, you can save your digital Season Pass to your Apple Wallet for easy access!
How-to: Access perks
Full Size and King Size Season Pass Holders enjoy special monthly discounts, offers and sweet rewards throughout the year, as listed in Season Pass Rewards Calendar. When redeeming your monthly rewards at Hersheypark, eligible Pass Holders can show their Season Pass at the locations and simply scan to redeem. No more logging into the Self-Service Account and printing a voucher for redemption!

Tip: Don’t forget to show your Season Pass for discounts around town, including unlimited visits to ZooAmerica, 10 percent off all Dining in Hershey locations, 15 percent off dining and shopping at Hershey’s Chocolate World, discounts at MeltSpa by Hershey and The Spa At The Hotel Hershey on select days, and more. These discounts are even valid during non park operating days!
