ZooAmerica Offers Wild Winter Adventure Program in December 2022

Registration Now Open for Sessions Geared Towards Children in Grades K-5

The popular Wild Winter Adventure program is returning to ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park for another season of exploration and fun.

Zoo Program Activities for Children Grades K-5

Designed for children in grades K through 5, the three-hour program will teach participants about the survival skills that North American animals use in the cold winter months.

Children will explore the Zoo, get up close to certain animals with live encounters, help with animal enrichment activities, make a craft and enjoy a snack. As a bonus, the group will take a walk over the bridge to Hersheypark to see all nine of Santa's reindeer who made a special stop from the North Pole for Christmas Candylane.

Winter Program Dates, Times and Cost

Wild Winter Adventure sessions will be held at ZooAmerica on December 17, 18, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30, 2022. Parents can register their children for either the morning session from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. or the afternoon session from 1 to 4 p.m. Sessions are still available on select days. The regular cost is $60 per session with a special rate for ZooAmerica Pass Holders. Pre-registration and pre-payment are required.

Zoo Open Daily This Winter

ZooAmerica is open daily this winter, with the exception of Thanksgiving Day and  Christmas Day. Winter is a great time to visit the zoo as many of the North American animals in the outdoor habitats are more active when the temperature drops.

Admission to ZooAmerica is included with a Hersheypark ticket only by accessing the Zoo through the Hersheypark bridge during posted Park hours; hours vary. Separate paid admission is also available online or at the ZooAmerica admissions building. ZooAmerica Annual Pass Holders and current 2022 Hersheypark Season Pass Holders are free.
