ZooAmerica Launches Water Friends & Family Program

Program Features Two Interactive Experiences With Water Animals

ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park launched a new Water Friends & Family program in partnership with Oceans Of Fun. The interactive program features two up close and personal experiences with the river otters at ZooAmerica and seals or sea lions at the Oceans Of Fun Aquatheatre. It is offered on Saturdays and Sundays through Nov. 8 from 10 - 11 a.m. or 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Get Up Close and Personal

Participants will visit the river otter habitat in ZooAmerica for a 30-minute educational session and feeding opportunity with the two playful river otters, Link and Iris. Guests will learn fascinating information about the natural history of water weasels, how they survive in our waterways, and their importance to the habitat.

As part of the program, participants will also walk across the bridge to the Oceans Of Fun Aquatheatre in Hersheypark for a private, 30-minute training session with the Atlantic harbor seals or sea lions. Guests will come poolside to learn about the fantastic flippered friends and get the opportunity to feed a seal or sea lion.

After the program, participants can enjoy ZooAmerica at their leisure as part of the experience. Throughout the three outdoor regions, guests can see dozens of animals of 20 different species native to North America, including two new female gray wolves. Guests may also be lucky enough to spot the three elusive lynx kittens. Given social distancing guidelines, indoor locations are temporarily closed. Face coverings are required for participants over the age of 2, with extensive safety enhancements detailed at ZooAmerica.com/safety.php.
