Top 5 Must Do’s at Hersheypark Christmas Candylane

I think many people would agree that the Christmas season is their favorite time of year. I know it is for me! I love being with my family, outside and enjoying the winter season we experience in Pennsylvania. The cold crisp air and the promise of snow is my favorite kind of day.

One of my holiday traditions is a visit to Hersheypark Christmas Candylane. I’ve lost count of the number of visits I have made with my family. So, I feel like an “Insider” who is qualified to share my “Top 5” favorite Hersheypark Christmas Candylane experiences.

  1. Santa’s Stables: Hands down my favorite things to see are Santa’s nine live reindeer. Who knew they were so small? I imagined a reindeer being the size of a large moose since they have to pull the sleigh with all the presents AND Santa. I was wrong. Reindeer are small hoofed animals covered in fur. I guess it is Santa’s magic that helps them pull the sleigh.

  2. Ride the rides, including Laff Trakk: The newest coaster at Hersheypark and the first indoor, spinning, glow-coaster in the United States, is decking its halls with Christmas-themed décor in the spirit of the holiday season. I’m anxious to try this great NEW holiday ride experience!

  3. Carrousel: The Hersheypark Carrousel is truly a gem. The oldest ride in the Park features “jumpers” and stationary wooden horses that are painted in amazing, opulent colors. The unmistakable sound of the Wurlitzer organ evokes another era.

  4. King Sized Milkshakes: A 28-ounce indulgence, this scrumptious shake could be shared. But, why? Enjoy the treat all by yourself. The new Christmas flavor is Snow Sweet Shake!

  5. “A Music Box Christmas”: This heart-warming live singing and dancing show will delight all members of the family. The 40 minute show centers on a mysterious music box found in Grandma's attic which brings the magic of Christmas to life.

This list is just my “Top 5.” There are so many other things to see and do, including four million lights and NOEL, a spectacular light show featuring more than 200,000 dancing lights synchronized to your favorite Christmas Music.I am sure everyone reading this who has visited Hersheypark Christmas Candylane has their own “Top 5.” I hope you will share your list with me!
