Mother's Day Weekend Guide in Hershey, PA: 2024

Visit Hersheypark and ZooAmerica

Is mom a coaster conqueror or a snack time warrior? Either way, there is something for her at Hersheypark amusement park! ZooAmerica is open on Mother's Day from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

Mom is sure to work up an appetite after a day at the Park and Zoo, but don't worry. You can take her to to The Chocolatier Restaurant, Bar + Patio in Hershey's Chocolatetown for a Fun to Table meal. You can cheers to mom on her big day with a mini martini flight from the Carrousel Bar inside the restaurant or a sweet treat from downstairs at Milton's Ice Cream Parlor.

See Jon Batiste at Hershey Theatre

On Saturday, May 11, join mom for an evening with multi-Grammy and Oscar award-winning musician Jon Batiste during his show, STREAMS: Jon Batiste At The Piano at Hershey Theatre. Visit Hershey Gardens 

Hershey Gardens offers Moms free admission to the 23-acre botanical garden on Saturday, May 11, and Sunday, May 12.  Guests who visit the gardens on Mother's Day weekend can see bounties of spring tulips on display and walk among hundreds of butterflies from around the world in the Butterfly Atrium. Also in the Butterfly Atrium is the Zoology Zone, where visitors can get up close and personal with unique creatures, like frogs, tarantulas and geckos.

Visit The Hershey Story Museum

Moms can also enjoy free admission to The Hershey Story's Museum Experience on Mother's Day, May 12. Visitors to the museum will learn the history of the life of chocolate pioneer Milton S. Hershey, his wife Catherine, and the town of Hershey, Pa., through exhibits, artifacts and interactive experiences. To make your visit extra sweet, consider purchasing tickets to decorate chocolate in the Chocolate Lab and sip on chocolates from around the world during Chocolate Tastings.

The Hershey Story is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Tickets can be purchased at the museum for entry.

Experience Hershey’s Chocolate World

Give mom the sweet opportunity to become a chocolatier for the day at Hershey’s Chocolate World! She can create her own candy bar, learn how chocolate is made on a free chocolate tour ride, embark on a cinematic adventure on HERSHEY’S Great Candy Expedition and more. 

Is mom a kid in a candy store? She can also explore aisles and aisles of unique gifts, chocolate-themed apparel, sweet souvenirs and, of course, candy at the World's Largest HERSHEY'S Store.
