Hershey, PA is a family destination that is full of sweet treats and fun. Spend the day riding the roller coasters at Hersheypark. See the animals at ZooAmerica or experience a chocolate tasting at the Hershey Museum. Take the factory tour at Hershey’s Chocolate World and receive a special treat at the end. It is so much fun and we love visiting as a family.

All of the family activities make Hershey, PA a great place to spend the weekend or even the entire week. If you are visiting you need a comfortable and family friendly place to stay, and Hershey has 3 resort hotels to fit the needs of every family.

The Hotel Hershey, Hershey Lodge, and Hersheypark Camping Resort are three different and unique resorts that are close to Hersheypark and provide extra perks for guests visiting.

If you are visiting the park on a Sunday you can use your ticket to visit on Saturday 4.5 hours before park close. The preview plan is offered Memorial Day-Labor Day and is a great way to see what to expect during your visit, grab a bite to eat, and ride your favorite attractions.

Hersheypark Hotels

Hersheypark Camping Resort

Hersheypark camping resort is a campground located across the street from Hersheypark. It has tent and RV camping but it also has cabins with heat/ac, electricity and bathrooms. We stayed at the Hersheypark campgrounds and loved it! The cabins were so cute and we liked having a bit of space to stretch out after a visit to the park. You do need to bring your own linens when staying at the cabins so plan accourdingly.

We stayed at the cabins during Hershey Candyland, Hershey’s Christmas event. Read more about our stay and a video tour of the cabins on our post: Camping at Hersheypark for Christmas.

Hershey Lodge

When you walk into the lobby at the Hershey Lodge the smell of chocolate surrounds you. The Hershey Lodge is a great resort that has a lot of fun amenities for families. It also has Hershey Water Works, an indoor water park with slides and splash pads.

Hershey Lodge is huge and hosts many conference during the weekends. It has 3 on-site restaurants and a coffee shop. We stayed during our spring break last year and loved that after a day at the park we could come back and enjoy the water park.

Hershey Lodge also has daily activities like BINGO and meeting characters in the lobby. It was nice to return to the hotel and have a lot of fun activities for the kids to do.

The Hotel Hershey

The Hotel Hershey is an original. Inspired and built by Milton Hershey this resort is historical and breathtaking, it is also the one hotel we have not visited…yet!!

The Hotel Hershey has traditional hotel rooms and also cottages that can sleep large groups traveling together. This hotel is the most luxury hotel of the Hersheypark resorts. There is an outdoor pool with water slide and a spa on-site.

During my visit for the Sweet Welcome we had breakfast at The Circular. When you walk into this place it is absolutely gorgeous. The architecture and historical attention to details makes this an amazing place to visit. Milton Hershey designed the restaurant so no one would be in the corner and it has stayed that way ever since.
