Hersheypark Christmas Candylane Now Open Select Dates Through Jan. 3

Merriest Event of Year Features Rides, Reindeer and More Lights Than Ever Before

Hersheypark amusement park, a 121-acre theme park with family-friendly rides and thrilling coasters, has officially kicked off the holiday season with Hersheypark Christmas Candylane, open select dates today through January 3, 2021. The merriest event of the year features lights, rides, coasters, Santa and his reindeer, shopping, signature hot chocolate, and more.

First Holiday Season in Hershey’s Chocolatetown

This Christmas Candylane marks the first winter in Hershey’s Chocolatetown, an all-new region at Hersheypark honoring the legacy of our founder, Milton S. Hershey. Thrill-seekers can ride the all-new Candymonium hypercoaster, weather permitting; take a ride on the historic Carrousel in its new home; snap a festive photo with Hershey Characters in front of the iconic Kisses Fountain decked out in its holiday best; check holiday shopping off the list at the all-new Hersheypark Supply Co. and HP Collections shops; and more.

More Lights Than Ever

Five million sparkling lights - the most ever for the seasonal celebration - will deck the halls of Hersheypark. Plus, the guest-favorite NOEL light show featuring more than 250,000 dancing lights choreographed to Christmas music will return with additional showtimes to encourage social distancing. Crowd size will be monitored for each show. Guests can also stop by the 50-foot Kissmas Tree display as they watch the light show.

Holiday Rides and Coasters

A unique blend of family-friendly rides and six thrilling coasters are slated to be open for Christmas Candylane, weather permitting. Guests can enjoy holiday thrills on Candymonium, Sidewinder, Wild Mouse, Wildcat, Cocoa Cruiser and the indoor glowing Laff Trakk coaster, which is decorated with a large tree in the center.

Only Place in Northeast With Santa and His Reindeer

Santa and all nine of his reindeer will make a special stop at Christmas Candylane. An all-new Santa experience will be available inside the Chevrolet Music Box Theatre venue decorated for the holiday season with indoor capacity carefully monitored and markers indicating appropriate distancing. Families can pose for a socially distanced photo with Santa. Guests over the age of 2 must wear face coverings at all times, including for photos. Children can also drop off a letter to Santa with their address included to receive a response.

Guests can enjoy an up-close look at their favorite reindeer at Santa’s Reindeer Stables in a newly expanded viewing area to encourage social distancing during all hours of operation. Capacity in this space will be carefully monitored and guests will be able to view the reindeer from ground markers placed throughout the area. Hersheypark is the only place in the Northeast with all nine live reindeer, including Rudolph.

Hot Chocolate and Other Sweet Treats

Signature hot chocolate will be available for purchase during Christmas Candylane in all-day souvenir mugs to keep guests warm. Other sweet treats like Frozen Hot Chocolate and Peppermint King Size Shakes, a Cranberry King Size Donut and Christmas Cookie Bucket will offer a unique taste of the holidays. Dietz & Watson Smokehouse Express will offer a variety of savory options, including Smokehouse nachos, turkey legs, cornbread and chili.

ZooAmerica  Open Daily This Winter

ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park is included with admission to Christmas Candylane only by accessing the zoo through the Hersheypark bridge during posted park hours. Separate paid admission is also available at the Zoo’s off-street entrance. Winter is a great time to visit ZooAmerica as many of the North American animals in the outdoor habitats are more active when the temperature drops.
