This year’s theme, "African Americans and the Arts,” invites us to delve into the rich heritage of African American artistic expression. From the vibrant rhythms of jazz to the evocative brushstrokes of Harlem Renaissance painters, the impact of Black artists reverberates across time and continents. Their artistry reflects the diverse experiences and cultural influences that have shaped the African American narrative.

- First Friday at the Lebanon Valley Council on the Arts, Feb. 2, 5 - 8 p.m., featuring artwork by Lebanon County high school students.
- LIFT EV’RY VOICE, Feb. 2, 7 p.m. Steinman Hall, Millersville University.
- Black History Month Film Series, Feb. 4, 9, 18 & 24, Appell Center, York.
