Enjoy Halloween at Hersheypark Starting October 15

Three Halloween Weekends of Family Fun

We're just one week away from the start of night coaster rides and sweet treats!

Hersheypark In The Dark kicks off on Friday, October 15, and runs for three weekends through Halloween, Sunday October 31. To help plan your fall getaway, check out our list of 9 can't-miss things to do to help you plan your visit to Hersheypark In The Dark.

1. Dark Ride Opportunities

One of the best parts of visiting for Hersheypark In The Dark is dark ride experiences! Exclusively for Hersheypark In The Dark, thrill-seekers can experience a unique, lights-out ride on three wooden roller coasters - Wildcat, Comet and Lightning Racer - starting at dusk. The indoor glowing Laff Trakk coaster will also be dark during all operating hours.

2. Candymonium

If you're looking for fun and chocolate you'll love our new hypercoaster, Candymonium. Guests of Twizzlers height category and above can experience hair-raising thrills on the tallest, fastest, longest and sweetest coaster in Hersheypark with the most airtime of any of our coasters. For Hersheypark In The Dark, we turn the lights out as well and showcase a special lighting package.

For additional facts about The World's Sweetest Coaster, check out this article on Candymonium By The Numbers.

3. Trick-or-Treating through Treatville

There’s no better place to trick-or-treat than The Sweetest Place On Earth! Guests ages 12 and under can enjoy 13 sweet stops on our Trick Or Treat Trail winding from Hershey’s Chocolate World Attraction (3 stops) to our Treatville location in The Boardwalk At Hersheypark with 10 stops.

4. Creatures Of The Night

ZooAmerica is open daily this fall with Creatures Of The Night on the same dates as Hersheypark In The Dark. Guests are encouraged to bring their flashlights to use as they walk around the Zoo to experience the nighttime habits of North American animals. Creatures Of The Night is included in the one-price admission to Hersheypark In The Dark when entered via the Park. Separate admission is also available at the zoo’s off-street entrance.

5. Fall Rides for the Whole Family

Dozens of mild to wild rides are slated to be open (weather permitting) during Hersheypark In The Dark. This is also the last opportunity for guests to ride some of their favorite coasters in 2021 before the winter months.

Tip: Download the Hersheypark app for an up-to-date listing on all open rides.

6. Festive Character Experiences

During a visit to Hersheypark In The Dark, guests can pose for a photo with their favorite Hershey Characters dressed for Halloween. Please download and reference the Hersheypark app for a list of Character locations and times during your visit.
