Iconic Hersheypark Rides Inside The Chocolatier Restaurant, Bar + Patio

Enjoy dinner in a Coaster-themed booth and drinks at a Carrousel-inspired bar

The Chocolatier Restaurant, Bar + Patio is a full-service restaurant, bar and patio with one-of-a-kind views of neighboring attractions and a second-story patio and bar overlooking Hersheypark. It will be open year-round and does not require an admission ticket to Hersheypark to dine. As our guests will quickly discover when we open on May 29, The Chocolatier is a restaurant, bar and patio that can only exist in Hershey - with past and present pieces from the Hersheypark ride collection.

Many of our food offerings are also inspired by past and present rides at Hersheypark. Be sure to check out the menu and let us know which ride-themed item you plan on ordering first! Some items include:

Comet  Car Booths

One of the many seats you can take inside The Chocolatier is located in a booth designed to resemble The Comet, one of our most popular wooden coasters. We're also celebrating a big milestone birthday for this coaster as this family favorite ride is turning 75 this year! As the oldest coaster in Hersheypark, Comet was the last coaster Mr. Hershey himself purchased. In the late 1970s, the Comet trains were painted black and gold which you'll see in The Chocolatier, before being painted to its current colors.

Tilt-A-Whirl  Booths

Grab the family and take a seat inside one of our Tilt-A-Whirl inspired booths! As a classic family ride for all guests to enjoy inside the Park, the Tilt-A-Whirl was recently repainted inside Hersheypark with our new logo, leaving these booths as a throwback to the old Hersheypark logo. Tilt-A-Whirl was added to the park in 1983.

Roller Coaster Track Lights

Hanging in the middle of the restaurant, guests will see a series of fiber optic lights falling from the ceiling. If you look closely from the side you may be able to recognize these lights are shaped as the tracks of 3 of our iconic roller coasters inside Hersheypark!

  • Wildcat (opened 1996) is a wooden roller coaster named after the 1920's coaster of the same name. The original Wildcat was the first roller coaster at Hersheypark, which operated from 1923-1945.
  • Fahrenheit (opened 2008) has a 97-degree negative drop following a 90-degree, 121-foot ascent, making it the steepest coaster in Hersheypark
  • Candymonium (opened 2020) is located inside our all-new Hershey's Chocolatetown region. This hypercoaster features a lift height of 210 feet, max speed of 76 mph and track length of 4,636 feet spanning 7 acres.

Patio Elements

Planning to enjoy a meal or drink on the patio this summer? As you are heading outside, make sure to take a look at one of our collection pieces from a past favorite ride, the Flying Falcon. This ride operated at Hersheypark from 1990 to 2016. The "C" from the logo of the actual ride is placed against the wall of the doors leading back inside the restaurant.

Guests on the patio will also see bumper cars and an antique car refurbished by students at The Milton Hershey School, in addition to a tub from the former Giant Wheel.

The Carrousel  Bar

Inspired by one of our most-storied Hersheypark attractions, The Carrousel Bar is our iconic centerpiece of The Chocolatier experience. There, bartenders craft fun cocktails showcasing over-the-top ingredients including your favorite Hershey’s candies, cotton candy, and more.

The gorgeous Carrousel Bar inside The Chocolatier consists of two replica horses from our 102-year-old Carrousel. One of the two horses selected for the Bar is our unique pinwheel horse. If you're visiting The Chocolatier and then heading into Hersheypark, be sure to see if you can find these two horses on our Carrousel
