Behind the Scenes of Hersheypark Winter Maintenance

Off-season? More like busy season! 

While some may think the off season is a time to relax at Hersheypark, it's actually our busiest time of the year!

With more than 70 rides and attractions and only three months we're not operating, our experienced on-site maintenance team is hard at work during the winter season. The team uses this time to dissasemble, inspect, repaint, repair and reassemble every attraction in the park so each ride is ready for 175 days of Hersheypark fun.

All of our attractions are brought into various maintenance areas across our property for a full inspection. After each coaster car gets the all-clear from our team, they are carefully craned back onto their respective tracks, usually in mid-March.
