2023 Summer Entertainment at Hersheypark

There is nothing sweeter than seeing your favorite Hershey Characters and enjoying fun entertainment while visiting Hersheypark amusement park in the summer. From traveling brass bands to Character meet-and-greets, Hersheypark has many special ways to keep you and your family entertained while enjoying your day at the largest amusement park in Pennsylvania.

Sweet Greets Experiences

What says Hershey more than candy? Hersheypark is the only amusement park in the world focused on fun and chocolate, as evidenced by the life-sized, chocolate-inspired characters throughout the Park. Here, you can spend time with four of our most famous candy friends, including Hershey’s Bar, Reese, Hershey’s Kisses and Jolly Rancher. Great times and even greater memories will surely be had with our favorite Hershey Characters, so make sure to download the Hersheypark app to find character appearance times and locations to make your day a memorable one!

Sweet Hello with the Hershey Characters

Another fantastic way to keep all your family members engaged and entertained as you enter the Park is to stop by our Sweet Hello show inside the Hershey’s Chocolatetown region across from the HPGO station daily this summer between 9-10:30 a.m.! Enjoy a few of our iconic Characters as they dance to popular songs, interact with guests and ensure the most Hersheypark Happy way to start your day!

Our Friends From the Sea and Flippered Friends

If cute animals and spectacular tricks are your cup of tea, there is no better place in Hersheypark to find them than the entertaining and educational Our Friends From the Sea show, located in our more than 50-year-old Aquatheatre. See our Atlantic harbor seals Cocoa, Harper and Cobh, as well as our California seal lions Ripley and Cruz, perform astonishing tricks and adorable gestures, all while taking a small break from the hustle and bustle of the Park. Showtimes are daily starting at 11:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. Iimmediately after the show, guests can join the team of experts from Ocean Connections for two paid experiences, including Fish Feeds and a Behind the Splash photo opportunity. 

Guests interested in a more personal experience with the Ocean Connections team can look into our Flippered Friends experience! This paid experience gives you and your family the opportunity to feed an animal, take pictures and experience the magic of these marine mammals up close. Watch out, though. These flippered friends create quite the splash zone!

The Sweet Notes

If live music, dancing and all-around family fun are your thing, make sure to stop by and give The Sweet Notes a try! This traveling brass band can be seen and heard wherever they go throughout the Park, and always manage to put a pep in your step. With stops in Founder’s Way at 10:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., The Hollow at 11:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and Kissing Tower Hill at 1:00 p.m., The Sweet Notes will fill your ears and move your feet with memorable music.

The Sweet Escapes

From billboard hits to classic favorites, our brand new a capella group The Sweet Escapes are must-see entertainment. Located in front of East Coast Surf Shop in the Midway with times of 11:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:30 p.m.and 4:00 p.m., this quintet uses no instruments to aid them in the performance of their live music. With the help of beatboxing and some stunning voices, The Sweet Escapes are sure to have you moving and grooving to the beat.

Drop the Beat with DJ Sweet

Prepare for the ultimate entrance into the Sweetest Place On Earth with Drop the Beat with DJ Sweet! Jamming atop a monster DJ booth just in front of Hershey Supply Co., DJ Sweet drops some beats while members of the Coaster Crew and Sweet Escapes dance, juggle and have a blast around the area. With show times starting at 9 a.m. and running until 10 a.m., this one-of-a-kind experience is the perfect way to start your day here at Hersheypark.

The Coaster Crew

One thing is for certain, Hersheypark has an incredible coaster collection. From Comet and Lightning Racer to new coasters like Wildcat’s Revenge and Candymonium, there is a little something for everyone. That is where this wacky crew comes in. Found in The Hollow at 12:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., Founder’s Way at 1:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., Pioneer Frontier at 2:30 p.m., and Midway America at 3:30 p.m., watch as The Coaster Crew Calling all Coaster Enthusiasts perform tricks, crack jokes and get you pumped for your next coaster ride. But, do not be surprised if they keep you entertained for so long you forget you are in line!
