ZooAmerica Unveils Mural Featuring Artwork from Milton Hershey School Students
Zoo Visitors Can See the Mural in the Admissions Building
Today, students and faculty from Milton Hershey School (MHS) visited ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park to see a mural featuring their artistic talents in the Zoo Admissions Building. This event was the first time any of the students or faculty saw the mural in person.
The floor-to-ceiling mural includes drawings and paintings of various North American animals done by 20 MHS Senior Division Students. The artwork is the foundation of the first-ever mural. The students' drawings and paintings were combined into a larger design that features animals like owls, wolves, eagles, snakes, and turtles and greets Zoo guests upon their arrival. Each student artist received a mural shirt to commemorate their involvement and contribution to the project.
The partnership between Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Company (HE&R) and MHS is just one way that HE&R helps fulfill the dream of its founder, Milton S. Hershey, by providing value to MHS in its mission of helping students lead fulfilling and productive lives - just as Mr. Hershey intended. See the Mural During a Zoo Visit
Visitors can now see the mural in the Admissions building when they arrive at ZooAmerica. The Zoo is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through May 26 and then 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. from May 27 through September 2.
Regular admission for guests ages 9-61 is $16.50 plus taxes and fees. Admission for juniors ages 3-8 and seniors ages 62+ is $14.50 plus taxes and fees. Children 2 and under are free.
Entrance to ZooAmerica is free to all ZooAmerica Annual Pass Holders and Hersheypark Season Pass Holders. ZooAmerica admission is also included in the one-price admission to Hersheypark only by accessing the Zoo from the bridge inside Hersheypark during posted Park hours. Please note that ZooAmerica and Hersheypark hours vary. Guests interested in visiting ZooAmerica separately can purchase a daily admission ticket online or at the Zoo Admissions building.
