Planning a trip to Hershey, PA should be more than a day trip, there’s so much to do! So I’ve pulled together where to stay in Hershey, PA that will give you the full Hershey Experience!

Where to stay in Hershey, PA

When I was invited to Hershey, PA for a Sweet Welcome weekend for content creators I was very excited, because it’s something we’ve been talking about doing as a family, but we weren’t sure if we should go for a day or a few nights. I can say there’s so much to do, that I think spending at least one night is worth it, and have pulled together the info on the different Hershey properties to help you figure out which one is best for your trip.

Hershey Lodge

I’m going to start with the Hershey Lodge. This is a great family friendly hotel that will have you wanting to spend a whole day just there. With spacious rooms, on site restaurants (Fire & Grill, Hershey Grill, The Forebay and The Bear’s Den), Character meet & greets, and Water Works swimming area, which is only open to guests staying at the Lodge. You’ll find it hard to venture out, but there’s so much to do in the town that you need to check it out.

Hershey Lodge Character Meet and Greets

There’s a lot to do onsite and who doesn’t love the chance to make s’mores or just relax around the fire in the lodge. They also offer Free Admission to guests to The Hershey Story and Hershey Gardens. I love the Hershey Lodge for big group events, and I hear they have an amazing New Year’s Eve event that is not to be missed.

The Hershey Hotel

The history of The Hershey Hotel is steeped deeply in the town of Hershey. Built in 1933 you see craftsmanship of days gone buy. It’s luxury without the pretense, with a Mediterranean feel you can see how the hotel was inspired by Milton Hershey’s travels.

When it comes to dining The Circular is a one of a kind restaurant, Milton Hershey was adamant that the room not have an pillars or corners, so everyone could have a good view. There’s also The Iberian Lounge where you can feel the history of the room as you enjoy a cocktail. The latest addition is the Harvest, which has a farm to table approach. With onsite amenities like the Hershey Spa, a fitness center, indoor pool and outside pool and slides, there’s something for everyone. They also offer Free Admission to guests to The Hershey Story and Hershey Gardens

Another neat option is the Woodside Cottages. These would be perfect for a family reunion, as they are multi-bedroom cottages with a private entrance, and if you book the whole cottage a beautiful great room.

Hershey Campground

If you’re a family who likes to glamp, camp, or hang out in an RV then the Hersheypark Camping Resort is a great option. With deluxe cabins that sleep up to 6 people, and include AC you can have the ability to camp, with a little luxury. Or if you’re family who loves to camp then pitch your tent or hook up your RV.

The campground has lots of fun activities, with an indoor craft room, large pool, outdoor movie screen and daily events, there’s always something to do. Plus what better place to enjoy some s’mores by the fire!

Why stay on a Hershey Property

One of the perks that all 3 of these options have is the fact that you can get extra hours in Hersheypark. There are early morning hours to enjoy the park, and all of these hotels offer shuttles to the park. Making getting around even easier.

There are so many things to do in this town that it’s easy to want to spend a few days or maybe just one night with plans to continue to visit in the future. I definitely thinking staying at one of the Hershey properties is key and look forward to exploring more of what Hershey, PA has to offer.
