As the spring days grow longer, and the scent of freshly cut grass fills the air, Hershey Country Club (HCC) welcomes golfers to the start of another thrilling season. The opening of the West Course invites members and guests back to challenge their golf skills, savor our rich history on the fairways and discover new opportunities that await.

A Season of Competition Begins

We made it through the winter and are eager to host our favorite golf tournaments again this year! April holds a distinct significance for HCC as it celebrates our founding in 1930. In commemoration, the club hosts the annual Founders Day Tournament on Saturday, April 20, a time-honored tradition that pays homage to our historic roots. Players tee off on Hole 5 in front of High Point Mansion, the former home of Hershey’s Chocolate founder, Milton S. Hershey, and the original location of the first hole on the West Course. 

Enhancements to the Greens

Removing the tarp covers on the greens is exciting for our members as it signals the commencement of the golf season. Hershey Country Club’s Turf Team worked diligently this winter to prepare for opening day on March 27. The major projects included edging the bunkers, removing trees or debris and applying sand topdressings to the greens. Plus, new procedures were implemented to improve the turf's health and maintain the golfers' course safety. 

New Styles Arrived at The Golf Shop

Be sure to shop for new HCC-branded apparel in the Golf Shop! The Golf Professional staff has stocked up on all new seasonal merchandise for members and guests to make them feel confident and stay ahead of their game. New to the Golf Shop is menswear from Holderness & Bourne and Redvanly. Women can now shop for apparel from EP Pro and SofiBella brands. Several returning favorites this season are Peter Millar, Fairway & Greene and Straight Down. A complete list of retailers we sell is available on our website. The Golf Shop is open Monday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
