Water Friends and Family Program Returns to ZooAmerica
Experiences with River Otters at the Zoo and Seals or Sea Lions in Hersheypark
ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park has brought back its interactive Water Friends & Family program this fall. The program features two up-close and personal experiences with the river otters at ZooAmerica and seals or sea lions at the 50-year-old Aquatheatre inside Hersheypark in partnership with Ocean Connections, Inc.
Water Friends & Family is offered on Saturdays and Sundays through Oct. 30. Participants can choose between two, 1-hour sessions from 10-11 a.m. or 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The program begins at ZooAmerica, where participants will enjoy a 20-minute educational session and feeding opportunity with the river otters at ZooAmerica.
Participants will then walk across the bridge into Hersheypark for a private 30-minute training session with the Atlantic harbor seals or sea lions at the Aquatheatre. After the program, participants will return to ZooAmerica and can enjoy the Zoo at their leisure as part of the experience.
A Hersheypark Halloween ticket is not included, and guests can not enter Hersheypark from ZooAmerica. Hersheypark Halloween is open from 2-10 p.m. on Saturdays and 2-9 p.m. on Sundays through Oct. 30. Tickets can be purchased here.
The cost of the Water Friends and Family program is $100 per person. Tickets are required for every adult and child actively participating in the program (except for hand-held infants). Guests must pre-purchase tickets at least 72 hours in advance.
This program is recommended for guests ages 3 and older. Participants 17 and under must be accompanied by a responsible paying adult. Payment by credit card is required at the time of registration.
