Valentine's Day & Presidents Day weekend 2020: things to do in Hershey, PA

Chocolate-covered fun, hockey games and more

The timing in 2020 is perfect: Valentine's Day kicks off the long Presidents Day weekend and there are plenty of events and happenings throughout Hershey The Sweetest Place On Earth! Grab your Valentines and choose from some of our ideas we've outlined below.

Celebrate the sweetest month of the year, Chocolate-Covered February

2020 marks 16 sweet years of Chocolate-Covered February! Whether you’re visiting Hershey with family, your significant other or a group of friends, the month-long, town-wide celebration of all things chocolate offers more than 90 events for everyone. Offerings include chocolate-infused dinners, wine and chocolate pairings, dessert buffets, decadent spa treatments and more!

Cheer on the home team

The Hershey Bears are having a thrilling season. They're currently in first place and the team is home for two games this weekend! They take on the Binghamton Devils on Saturday, Feb. 14 at 7 p.m. and the Lehigh Valley Phantoms on Sunday, Feb. 16 at 5 p.m. Be part of the excitement and bring your friends and family to cheer on the home team!

Visit ZooAmerica - discounted admission on Friday

Did you know winter is one of the best times to visit ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park? Open year-round, the animals on exhibit outdoors are much more active and easier to see this time of year. Every Friday in February, guests can enjoy 50% off regular and junior/senior admission when purchasing tickets at the Zoo. And on Saturdays, select animals will receive chocolate-themed treats in celebration of Chocolate-Covered February

Experience the tropics, indoors

The indoor Butterfly Atrium at Hershey Gardens is the perfect way to keep warm while learning about dozens of rare butterflies from South and Central America, Africa, and Asia. The tropical setting of the Atrium provides fun for every member of the family.

Learn about our founder

The Hershey Story Museum honors and preserves the life and legacy of Milton S. Hershey, the town he created and the lives he touched. Museum exhibits explore Mr. Hershey's early failures, how he successfully revolutionized the process of making milk chocolate, the "other" model town he built in Cuba and how he and his wife, Kitty, created Milton Hershey School. Today the School stands as the Hersheys' legacy and is the world's largest residential home and school for children in financial and social need.

While you're at The Hershey Story, grab tickets for interactive Chocolate Lab and Chocolate Tastings experiences.
