As a #SweetestMoms ambassador, I’ve been counting down for what seems like forever, and now it’s finally time to kick off the 2018 summer season at Hersheypark – with two new water rides to make it the best summer yet!
It’s Hersheypark’s 111th season, and two new water rides have been added to the lineup of over 70 rides and attractions! The Boardwalk at Hersheypark water park now includes the all-new Breakers Edge Water Coaster and the high-speed Whitecap Racer.
TWO HUGE NEW WATER RIDES!
Breakers Edge Water Coaster will be the world’s first HydroMAGNETIC water coaster with thrilling open-air flying saucer turns (eeeek!) and it also happens to be the 14th coaster at Hersheypark. (Take a virtual ride here.)
Whitecap Racer will be the world’s longest mat racing slide with a really cool high-tech leaderboard so you can compete in the race of the summer. The new attractions will be located between Shoreline Sprayground attraction and Intercoastal Waterway lazy river and are open NOW.
Both rides are family-friendly with a height requirement of a Reese’s category and up (42” and up). Kind of a big deal in our house, because both kids are now officially Reese’s or taller!

One of my favorite sightings is a cool food truck, and two will open later this summer in Hersheypark: Sunkissed Beach BBQ and Smiling Taco-ria. Yay for tacos!
