Tips For Saving at Hersheypark
Hersheypark is officially open for the summer season, two weeks ago my family and I had the opportunity to visit for opening weekend, and as always we had a lot of fun. If you’re planning a trip to the park this summer I have some great tips for saving when visiting Hersheypark.
I’m a Hersheypark Sweetest Moms Ambassador, my family and I received complimentary admission into the park as a part of a special media event. Any opinions expressed are my own.
Traveling with six people can become very costly, so we’re always looking for the best ways to save while traveling and to get the most bang for our buck. We’ve been to Hersheypark so many times that I’ve learned some great tips to help save money when visiting the park. Here’s a few of my favorite saving tips for when you visit the park this summer.
Take Advantage of Zoo America
Your admission ticket to Hersheypark also provides admission into Zoo America. We love visiting the Zoo especially in the summer because there a lot of great places to sit in the shade and relax before heading back to the park. The zoo is open year round daily, except for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day.

Purchase a Season Pass
If you’re planning multiple trips to the park I highly suggest getting the Hersheypark Season Pass. Fellow Sweetest Moms Ambassador Sarah of Savoring the Good, shared a great post on why her family decided to get rid of their pool membership and switched to a Hersheypark Season Pass instead.
Stay at Hersheypark Resorts and Save
Stay at the official resorts of Hersheypark and save with special packages. The Kids Stay, Play, & Eat Free package at the Hotel Hershey and Hershey Lodge. The package includes a night at the hotel of your choice, free kids breakfast, and four tickets to Hersheypark. Rates start at $369 at the Hershey Lodge and $549 at the Hotel Hershey. Guests staying at the resort can also save on parking by using the complimentary shuttle service.
Purchase Special Ticket Packages
Save even more when you bundle your ticket purchases. The Ride, Dine, and Play package includes admission to Hersheypark & Zoo America, a meal ticket, and one game voucher. Prices for this package costs $68.40 per person. The 2-Day Play Pack gives is perfect for when you’re visiting for two days. With a a 2-day flex ticket, 2 meal tickets, 1 souvenir cup & 1 refill, 13 game vouchers, and 20% off one retail purchase. The price for this package costs $123.25. Both of these packages can only be purchased online. You can also save with the Sunset package, when you visit later in the day. If you’re visiting for an event in Hershey, show your concert ticket at the ticket booth at Hersheypark for discounted admission the day before, of, or after the concert.
Purchase a Games Pack
Save by purchasing a Games Value Pack at Guest Services, Hospitality Services, and Ticketing Services for $19, saving your over 30% on 13 game vouchers.
Purchase a Souvenir Cup
Hersheypark allows guests to bring in one bottle of water per person visiting the park. If you drink soda I recommend purchasing a souvenir cup that will save you on refills all season. When you purchase a discounted meal ticket it includes a souvenir cup, an entree, and one side at 23 participating food stalls at the park. Meal tickets can be purchased at Hospitality Services inside the park or online.
Unwind at Water Works at Hershey Lodge
Guests staying at the Hershey Lodge can unwind at the Water Works at Hershey Lodge, the newly opened water park is another great way to get more bang for your buck when visiting Hersheypark.
Free or Discount Admission to Area Hershey Attractions
When you stay at the official resorts of Hersheypark you receive either free or discounted admission to the Hershey Story and Hershey Gardens. Guests of the Hersheypark Camping Resorts receive discounted admission, while guests of The Hotel Hershey and Hershey Lodge receive complimentary passes.
