The Hotel Hershey Wine & Food Festival 2018

Foodies and wine lovers, mark your calendars! The most flavorful weekend of the year is nearly here.

The Hotel Hershey will host its ninth annual Wine & Food Festival on September 14-16, 2018.

That means that for three days, guests can take part in up to six events featuring notable wines from around the world, as well as, local favorites. There’s something for every taste!

The annual festival kicks off Friday with a night of food, wine and laughter in the Mezzanine of The Hotel. Romain Teyteau from Georges Duboeu – one of the most renowned wine merchants in France – will host a reception featuring champagne and heavy hors d’oeuvres at 6:30 p.m. Then, back by popular demand is the hilarious Laurie Forster, aka The Stand Up Sommelier, with her comedy show, Something to Wine About, at 8 p.m. Trust us when we say you won’t want to miss it!

On Saturday, a returning favorite, the Champagne Tasting Class, will also be back this year with a sampling of four bubbly champagnes and local meats and cheeses at 11:30 a.m.

The fun continues with a brand new guided tasting of wines from the Napa and Sonoma regions of California. Featured Napa vs. Sonoma wineries include Stonestreet, Freemark Abbey, La Crema, Napa Cellars, Matanzas, Oberon, Arrowood and Gallerie. The tasting event starts at 2:30 p.m.

If you’re a Ruca Malen fan, Saturday’s Wine Dinner should be at the top of your list. You’ll wine and dine from 6:30-10 p.m. with an expert from the Argentinean winery. Mingle with other wine enthusiasts while enjoying a delicious meal paired with four Ruca Malen wines that will leave your taste buds tingling.

On Sunday, start your morning off with the VIP Winemaker Breakfast – a breakfast buffet with complimentary mimosas – and have the opportunity to meet many of the vintners featured at events throughout the weekend.

The weekend caps off with the popular Grand Tasting from noon to 4:00 p.m. This event is hosted at The Formal Gardens of The Hotel Hershey and includes both international and domestic wine stations hosted by official vintner representatives, delectable food samples from award-winning Hershey Entertainment & Resorts chefs, live jazz entertainment and, for the beer lovers, a selection of domestic breweries. Guests must be 21 or older to participate.
