The Forebay Restaurant at Hershey Lodge to Undergo Refresh, Reopen as Revelry

(Hershey, Pa. ‒ Jan. 6, 2020) ‒ The Forebay, a full-service restaurant at Hershey Lodge, will have a new name, refreshed look and reimagined concept this month. The restaurant will close for renovations on Jan. 13 and reopen as Revelry Chophouse, Bar & Patio on Jan. 17.

Located in the heart of Hershey Lodge above the main lobby, yet tucked away, Revelry will be the perfect setting for a night out or, for guests of Hershey Lodge, a night in. The restaurant will offer a welcoming atmosphere for guests as they enjoy an evening in the newly renovated dining room, claim a stool at the bar, or ‒ during warmer months ‒ venture out to the rooftop patio.

The restaurant’s concept includes a refreshed dinner menu focused on classic and contemporary chophouse fare with premium cuts and the largest wine and spirits list available throughout the property. Guests will find specialty dishes on the menu, such as a 34-ounce Tomahawk Ribeye and a Snake River Farms Wagyu “Eye” of Ribeye, as well as some guest and local favorites from The Forebay, including the Smoked Short Rib Chips appetizer, NY Strip Steak entree and Chocolate Molten Cake dessert. Add some Chocolate Stout Steak Sauce or order a Chocolate Manhattan cocktail for an extra Hershey’s touch.

“At Hershey Lodge, we’re always looking at ways to elevate the dining experience for our guests and introduce fresh flavors and ideas that we think they will enjoy,” said Kevin O’Brien, Hershey Lodge Food & Beverage Director. “Revelry has given our culinary and beverage experts the opportunity to get creative and craft some exciting new offerings, while still keeping some signature menu items from The Forebay that we know our guests love. We can’t wait for everyone to experience Revelry!”

The refreshed space has been painted and will have new flooring, furniture and more seating. Revelry will have a total capacity of 114 diners, an increase of 22 seats. Hours will remain the same: 5-11 p.m. daily. For local visitors to the restaurant, Revelry will offer complimentary valet parking at the main lobby entrance located off University Drive.

Hershey Lodge is partnering with Brewer Flooring, Inc. (Harrisburg, Pa.) and Hawk Industries (Littlestown, Pa.) on this project. The estimated cost of the project is $125,000.
