Hersheypark Halloween—recognized as one of the top Halloween events in the country by USA TODAY 10Best—delivers plenty of daytime fun for families before the immersive haunt experiences start at 6 p.m. Visitors can enjoy kid-friendly rides, sweet trick-or-treat stops, festive Hershey Character meet-and-greets, and much more. Families visiting with little ghouls and goblins can rely on this guide of family-friendly things to do at Hersheypark Halloween to help plan their perfect spooky season visit.

1. Rides for Every Age Group

Hersheypark Halloween tickets include access to 50 rides, weather and maintenance permitting. The park caters to every Hershey height group, offering more than 40 family and kiddie attractions along with more than a dozen thrilling coasters.

Thrill seekers in the family are in for a real treat, as the lights go out for dark rides on Candymonium, Comet, Lightning Racer and Wildcat's Revenge during the last hour of Hersheypark Halloween operation. For even more Halloween fun, Laff Trakk will feature lights-out rides during the entire operating day.

This event also serves as the final opportunity to experience select high-thrill coasters before they undergo winter maintenance in preparation for the 2027 season.

Please note that select family and kiddie attractions—including Granny Bugs, Monorail, Music Express, Pony Parade, Red Baron, Sweet Swing, Tea Cups and Trailblazer—may close at 5 p.m. prior to Dark Nights. Visitors are encouraged to download the Hersheypark mobile app to check real-time attraction availability and view the park map.

2. Trick-or-Treating for Kids (12 and Under)

There’s no sweeter place to trick-or-treat than Hersheypark! Children ages 12 and under can put on their favorite Halloween costumes* and explore 14 fun-filled candy stops along the Hershey's Trick Or Treat Trail. The trail starts with four stops at Hershey’s Chocolate World Attraction and continues into The Boardwalk At Hersheypark region, where 10 additional stops await in Treatville.

Treatville opens at 6 p.m. on Fridays and at 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays and closes each operating evening at 8:30 p.m., including Halloween night on Saturday, Oct. 31. The path begins at The Boardwalk main entrance across from Fallout Zone and Estate of Evil and winds throughout the water park with fun photo spots and a festive hay maze.

*Costume Policy

• All guests: Costumes that may cause confusion between the Dark Nights actors and guests are not permitted. Additionally, except as otherwise noted below, costumes are permitted on attractions provided they do not interfere with the restraint system, proper riding position, or cause a hazard to guests, employees, and/or the attraction. The loose articles policy for each attraction can be found under the “Additional Restrictions/Accessibility” link located on the information pages for each attraction on Hersheypark’s website, in the Rider Safety & Accessibility Guide, and on the Height Signs located at each attraction. Failure to adhere to the Hersheypark Costume Policy may result in the costume not being permitted or guest removal from the Park.
• Guests age 12 and under: Costumes and costume masks that provide unobstructed peripheral vision at all times with openings that allow the eyes to be fully seen may be worn. Costume masks are not allowed to be worn on any attractions. Having a fully painted face is permitted. This applies to guests who come to Hersheypark in makeup and also to guests who have their faces painted by the Park’s face painters.
• Guests age 13 and older: Costumes may be worn but must be family-friendly and may not be obstructive, offensive, revealing, objectionable, violent, or otherwise disrupt the general safety of guests or employees. Costumes may not contain any props or accessories that resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon. Costumes may not contain sharp objects, pointed objects or materials that may accidentally strike another guest. Layered costumes or costume props that surround the entire body are strongly discouraged and may be subject to additional security screening. Costumes may not drag on the ground as they could be a trip hazard. Costume masks are not permitted, but guests may have up to half of their face painted provided that it does not alter their identity.

3. All-New Monster Meet & Shriek

New this year, guests can come face-to-face with the monsters of Dark Nights during the Monster Meet & Shriek inside the Chevrolet Music Box Theatre. Offered every Hersheypark Halloween operating day from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., this family-friendly entertainment experience lets guests of all ages meet and pose for photos with featured monsters from the haunted houses and scare zones. Guests are welcome to take their own photos, but a dedicated Photo Pass photographer is also available on-site to capture spooky memories.

Daily character appearances are noted in the Hersheypark app but are subject to change based on availability.

4. Sweet Greets with Hershey Characters

Hersheypark is the only amusement park where guests can snap selfies with Hershey Characters dressed in Halloween costumes. Sweet Greet opportunities are offered at Hershey’s Hangout with Hershey Bar and Miss Kiss, and at Reese's Cuphouse with Reese and JR. 5. Scare-Free Avenue of the Afterlife

For guests who want to experience the Dark Nights thrills without any chills, there's no need to fear! Families can take a walk down the Avenue of the Afterlife, conveniently located in The Boardwalk. This scare-free zone is the place to dance, dine and celebrate the season with a crew of family-friendly creatures. Guests can purchase exclusive food, watch the Acro Duo jugglers and stilt walkers, and join a DJ Dance Party, now featuring select Hershey Characters - all while skipping the scares!

6. Our Friends From The Sea Show

Parkgoers can see California sea lions and Atlantic harbor seals during the Our Friends From The Sea show in the Aquatheatre at 2 and 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Please note there are no shows on Fridays.

7. 60+ Seasonal Food and Drink Options

Visitors often come for the rides, but they stay for the sweet treats at Hersheypark, and Halloween is no exception. Hersheypark offers a taste of fall with more than 60 limited-time snacks, savory eats and specialty drinks during Hersheypark Halloween. Instagram-worthy items include Flamin' Hot Cheetos Corn Dog Nuggets, a Brisket Cuban Sandwich and three Halloween-themed King Size Shakes—signature milkshakes topped with baked goods celebrating a decade of popularity in 2026!

Additionally, guests sample a variety of scary-good culinary offerings available during Dark Nights with the Hersheypark Halloween Tasting Pass. The pass lets visitors eat their way through Hersheypark by choosing up to five specialty items from more than 30 food and drink options. Priced at $39.99 plus tax, it can be purchased online prior to a trip or at Guest Services locations in the Park.

The Hersheypark Halloween Tasting Pass is $39.99 and can be purchased online or in-person at Guest Services locations. New this year, Tasting Passes are digital only for guest convenience. Guests will receive a barcode via email that can be easily scanned five times.

8. Haunted Houses and Scare Zones

If your family wants to give the scares a try, Dark Nights returns for its fifth year with an expanded lineup of frightful fun starting at 6 p.m. Admission to Dark Nights is included with a Hersheypark Halloween ticket or 2026 Hersheypark Season Pass, granting access to five haunted houses with varying levels of intensity and five spine-tingling scare zones.

New in 2026, brave visitors can follow the fractured tracks of the Reese’s Depot Of Doom scare zone. But they must beware. The freight yard may look abandoned, but it comes alive at night with shadowy trespassers starving for company. Navigate the fog-drenched boxcars with caution. Will you escape the Depot, or will you be doomed forever?

Note: Some aspects of the experience may be too intense for children younger than 13. Parental discretion and guidance are advised.

9. Creatures Of The Night at ZooAmerica (Starting Oct. 16)

Guests should bring their flashlight and curiosity, because ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park is getting in on the Halloween action with Creatures Of The Night! The Zoo is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. this fall, with the Creatures Of The Night event running Fridays through Sundays from Oct. 16 to Nov. 1. The Halloween-themed experience from 6-9 p.m. is the only time of year that ZooAmerica is open after dark for visitors to explore the 11-acre Zoo by flashlight, see their favorite nocturnal animals under the cover of nightfall and enjoy educational activities.

ZooAmerica is included in the one-price admission to Hersheypark Halloween when accessed from the bridge inside Hersheypark during posted Park hours. Guests interested in visiting ZooAmerica before Hersheypark opens will have to purchase a separate Zoo admission.

ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park is open daily through Sept. 6 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and on Sept. 7 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It's the last chance for animal lovers to participate in free daily activities, including keeper talks, animal encounters and feeding and training sessions. For a more personal experience, premium animal feedings allow visitors to feed favorite foods to gray wolves, a black bear or a river otter.

Comet (1946)

Located in The Hollow region

Comet is the oldest continuously operating roller coaster at Hersheypark, celebrating 80 years of thrills in 2026. It was the last coaster to be purchased by Milton S. Hershey, though he would never get to see it open. When it was first constructed, Comet was the largest roller coaster in the United States. It was initially painted green as Mr. Hershey preferred his rides this color to blend into the scenery and atmosphere of the Park. It was eventually painted white and remains so today.

The classic wooden coaster is best known for delighting generations of riders of Reese's height category (42-48") and above with several airtime-producing bunny hills. During its 1-minute and 45-second ride, the coaster climbs 96 feet and reaches a top speed of 50 mph along 3,360 feet of track.

In June 2021, American Coaster Enthusiasts (ACE) recognized Comet at Hersheypark as an ACE Roller Coaster Landmark, a designation reserved for rides of historic significance. The accolade was presented by ACE at Coaster Con 43, which was held during Comet's 75th anniversary year.

In spring 2024, Comet received a new out-of-this-world train design and new seats for the next generation of riders.

Trailblazer (1974)

Located in the Pioneer Frontier region

Trailblazer is the second-oldest running coaster in the Park and the oldest operating steel coaster. It is a family favorite and often one of the first coaster rides for young guests of the KISSES height category (36-42") and above. Trailblazer features a helix that circles four times and reaches a maximum speed of 45 mph during the 75-second ride.

At its opening, Trailblazer was the first major coaster to be added to Hersheypark in 18 years. Kicking off the Park's expansion of Pioneer Frontier, it was the first attraction at Hersheypark to be completely themed.

sooperdooperLooper (1977)

Located in The Hollow region

When it opened in 1977, the sooperdooperLooper was the first modern looping coaster on the East Coast and only the second of its kind in the United States. Over the years, it has served as the first “upside-down” coaster ride for many young Hersheypark guests of Reese's height category (42-48") and above.

Throughout the nearly 2-minute ride, riders experience a family-friendly course of small dips, drops, bunny hills and the famous vertical loop. The classic steel coaster features a ride height of 57 feet and a maximum speed of 45 mph.

The famous “I Survived the sooperdooperLooper” phrase was coined in 1977 after one of the first riders on the opening day came off the ride feeling as though he really had survived the ride. As a souvenir, riders can purchase an “I Survived the sooperdooperLooper” shirt—the most popular shirt ever sold at Hersheypark.

Great Bear (1998)

Located in the Kissing Tower Hill region

Feel the roar of Great Bear, the only inverted roller coaster at Hersheypark and the first of its kind in Pennsylvania! The popular roller coaster is known for its signature roaring bear noise from the wheels' vibration resonating against the hollow track beams.

Great Bear lifts riders of Twizzlers height category (54-60") and above with their feet dangling 90 feet off the ground and launches into a thrilling yet graceful course of drops, loops, corkscrews and a zero-g roll at a maximum speed of 61 mph!

Wild Mouse (1999)

Located in the Midway America region

Thrill-squeakers agree that Wild Mouse is a can't-miss coaster at Hersheypark. It is the only roller coaster at Hersheypark to never stop with its continuously moving station!

Riders of Hershey's height category (48-54") and above experience the wild illusion of falling, as the coaster scurries through a course of tight corners, exciting drops and six 180-degree hairpin switchback turns during the nearly 2-minute ride. The best part? It's open for all four seasons, weather and maintenance permitting!

Lightning Racer (2000)

Located in the Midway America region

The race is on between thunder and lightning! Lightning Racer was the first wooden racing and dueling roller coaster in the United States when it took its inaugural laps over 25 years ago.

The double-track wooden roller coaster features two staggered lifts, so riders of Hershey's height category (48-54") and above experience a race against each other. Throughout the 1-minute, 20-second ride, Lightning Racer reaches a maximum speed of 50 mph for a thrilling element of competition. Although you see lightning before you hear thunder, the winner of Lightning Racer is primarily based on the weight of each train.

Storm Runner (2004)

Located in the Pioneer Frontier region

"Now get ready, here we go!" Storm Runner is the only launch coaster of its kind on the East Coast and one of only three left in the United States. The high-thrill roller coaster hydraulically launches riders of Twizzlers height category (54-60") and above from 0 to 72 mph in only two seconds, lifting them 18 stories straight up and then down. The coaster exerts more than 8,000 horsepower - quicker than the world’s fastest vehicle.

During the 1-minute ride, this one-of-a-kind coaster takes riders through a thrilling 135-foot cobra loop, barrel rolls, a dramatic flying-snake dive and a screeching halt before slowly gliding back into the station. Storm Runner is the first coaster to feature a dual-loading station with switch tracks, enabling quick transitions between rides.

Fahrenheit (2008)

Located in the Pioneer Frontier region

It's 97 degrees and falling fast! Fahrenheit is the steepest coaster in Hersheypark and in the state of Pennsylvania with a 97-degree negative drop following a 90-degree, 121-foot ascent.

Riders of Twizzlers height category (54-60") and above fly through a memorable course of loops, corkscrews, dives and plenty of thrilling airtime as they reach a maximum speed of 58 mph, which is faster than a lion.

Skyrush (2012)

Located in The Hollow region

Prepare for takeoff - Skyrush is the ultimate roller coaster for thrill seekers. Riders of Twizzlers height category (54-60") and above take a first-class flight 200 feet into the air before flying downhill at 75 mph on Skyrush. The coaster features four high-speed turns and five zero-G airtime hills along 3,600 feet of yellow track over Spring Creek. Supports to hold the force of Skyrush down were drilled up to 120 feet into the ground - the same height as the tallest drop on Fahrenheit.

In spring 2024, Skyrush upgraded its flight to first class with all-new seats and restraints. Passengers now board Skyrush from a reimagined station platform featuring an all-new paint scheme, lighting effects and custom soundscape. The investment in the high-thrill attraction provides coaster lovers with added comfort while experiencing the adrenaline rush they know and crave.

Cocoa Cruiser (2014)

Located in the Founder's Way region

Cocoa Cruiser is a steel family roller coaster at Hersheypark that allows the youngest guests of KISSES height category (36-42") and above to experience a sweet coaster thrill for the first time. Parents can enjoy the fun milestone alongside their child as they race around the Hershey's chocolate-inspired track for two fun-filled minutes.

Laff Trakk (2015)

Located in the Midway America region

Themed after traditional American funhouses, Laff Trakk was the first indoor spinning glow-coaster in the United States. It spins riders of Reese's height category (42-48") and above through an exciting adventure of sights and sounds, complete with glimpses of colorful characters, a dizzying hall of mirrors and more.

Laff Trakk often receives seasonal overlays featuring custom soundscapes, lighting and more. Most recently, the coaster was transformed into Star-Spangled Laff Trakk as part of the Park's larger All-American Summer Celebration for America's 250th Birthday. For Hersheypark Christmas Candylane, the coaster boasts a special neon tree at the center.

Breakers Edge (2018)

Located in The Boardwalk At Hersheypark

While not a traditional roller coaster, Breakers Edge Water Coaster combines everything guests love about water attractions with a coaster experience. Located in the 11-acre water park, the first HydroMAGNETIC coaster at Hersheypark rockets riders of Reese's height category (42-48") and above on rafts through thrilling splash-filled hills, intense open-air FlyingSAUCER turns and high-speed tunnels.

Candymonium (2020)

Located in the Hershey's Chocolatetown region

Candymonium spans seven acres along 4,636 feet of chocolate-brown track at the front of Hersheypark in the Hershey's Chocolatetown region. The hypercoaster features a lift height of 210 feet and a maximum speed of 76 mph, making it the tallest and fastest roller coaster at Hersheypark.

Riders of Twizzlers height category (54-60") and above will experience seven camelback hills and a 123-degree hammerhead curve that serve up the ultimate feeling of freedom with the most airtime in the Park. The finishing touch is an impressive panoramic banked curve that wraps around a fountain. The out-and-back-style coaster is open for all four seasons, weather and maintenance permitting!

Jolly Rancher Remix (2022)

Located in the Pioneer Frontier region

In 2022, the Hersheypark skyline got brighter with Jolly Rancher Remix. Formerly known as Sidewinder, the reimagined boomerang roller coaster takes guests on a flavor ride, sending them and their senses forward and back along the same flavorful track. The coaster boasts a seasonal overlay with special lighting and scents during Hersheypark Halloween and Hersheypark Christmas Candylane, weather and maintenance permitting.

Riders of Hershey’s height category (48”) and above blast through the flavor tunnel, invert six times in 90 seconds and jam to sweet tunes. Each ride is different with five randomized flavor rides like Watermelon or Green Apple, complete with unique music, lights and scents for an only-in-Hershey sensory experience. Because of its shape, Jolly Rancher Remix is the only major coaster at Hersheypark to use only one train.

Wildcat's Revenge (2023)

Located in the Midway America region

Wildcat is back and seeking vengeance. Wildcat's Revenge hybrid coaster opened to the public in June 2023, 100 years after the first Wild Cat roller coaster debuted at Hersheypark. Manufactured by Rocky Mountain Construction (RMC), Wildcat's Revenge combines the best of wood and steel by adding an all-new steel track with unique elements to the wooden framework for a one-of-a-kind, thrilling ride experience found only at Hersheypark. It is the first hybrid coaster at Hersheypark and the first of its kind in Pennsylvania.

Riders of Hershey’s height category (48”) and above climb a 140-foot hill, hit a maximum speed of 62 mph, dive into an 82-degree drop, invert four times and stalk their prey through the World's Largest Underflip on three custom trains.

Wildcat's Revenge pays tribute to the unique history of the “Wild Cat” name at Hersheypark, which was the eventual name of the Park's first coaster purchased by founder Milton S. Hershey in 1923. Daily summer operations at Hersheypark begin on May 21, with the first of several fireworks displays presented by HERSHEY’S on May 23. Guests visiting on May 23, July 3, July 4 and Aug. 8 can end their evening with fireworks.

New In-Park Theatre Show

Hersheypark will debut an unforgettable live music show, Sweet Land of Liberty: A Celebration of the American Songbook, in the air-conditioned Chevrolet Music Box Theatre venue from May 29 through Labor Day. The only-in-Hershey show will take guests on a journey through the Rock, Pop, Country and Soul anthems that shaped this country’s history. 

Limited-Time Food and Beverage

Guest-favorite Hersheypark treats are decked out in red, white and blue this summer, including a Star-Spangled King Size Shake at Simply Chocolate dessert shop, available only in July in celebration of the 10th birthday of the award-winning, iconic treat. Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest Qualifier

The world’s top hot dog eaters and rising challengers will return to Hersheypark on June 19 to compete in the final qualifying event for the legendary Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July contest. Guests can watch the classic American tradition at 2 p.m. in the water park. 

Live Entertainment in Hershey

Located on the same complex as the amusement park, Hersheypark Stadium will again host the Summer Concert Series with acts from Guns N' Roses and Chris Stapleton to Forrest Frank and Pitbull. History of Comet

Comet was introduced during the 1946 season and was the last coaster personally added to the park by founder Milton S. Hershey. Built by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company (PTC) and designed by PTC President Herbert P. Schmeck (1890-1956), the wooden coaster uses a staggering total of 248,919 feet of lumber. While an exact opening date is unknown, the coaster is believed to have officially opened during the week of May 26, 1946 (per the Hershey Community Archives).

Comet was the largest roller coaster in the United States at the time of its opening. It was originally painted green as Mr. Hershey preferred his rides this color to blend into the scenery and atmosphere of the Park. The coaster was eventually painted white and remains so to this day.

A Guest Favorite

Located in The Hollow region of Hersheypark, Comet is best known for delighting generations of riders 42" and taller (Reese's height category and above) and is often the first coaster of many parkgoers. Comet offers rides during Spring Weekends, summer and Hersheypark Halloween. Although the coaster is closed for the Christmas Candylane season, it makes a great photo spot with a light display featuring Santa and his reindeer ascending the lift hill. 

During its 75th anniversary season in 2021, Comet was recognized with the American Coaster Enthusiasts (ACE) Preservation Award and designated an ACE Roller Coaster Landmark for its historic significance.

Ride Experience

The modified double out-and-back classic wood coaster has two, 24 passenger trains aptly named "Mork's Comet" and "Halley's Comet." The ride experience begins as soon as the train leaves the station and immediately climbs 96 feet up the chain lift hill. The coaster then rumbles down the first 47-degree drop and flies back up the next hill to make a swooping 180-degree turn that reveals a stunning view of The Hollow. Comet dips back down towards Spring Creek and sends riders on a series of twisting turns and hair-raising hills. A handful of airtime-filled bunny hills give riders a final thrill before arriving back at the station. Comet reaches a top speed of 50 miles per hour during its 3,360-foot journey that lasts 1 minute 45 seconds. Night rides aboard Comet feature a trail of shimmering lights that line the entire track length.

An Especially Celestial Update

In the spring of 2024, Hersheypark introduced all-new, custom trains for Comet featuring a three-tone blue color scheme and a glittering metal flake treatment. Along with these shimmering new trains, the ride logo was updated as an homage to the early 70's iconography of the ride, creating the perfect blend of old and new aesthetics. Top 10 Ranked Hersheypark Open for Spring Weekends

Hersheypark received a top 10 ranking in the Best Theme Park category after competing amongst 19 other theme parks nominated out of more than 400 amusement parks and attractions on the continent.

Centrally located within driving distance of five of the largest metropolitan areas in the Northeast, Hersheypark is open for Spring Weekends on Fridays through Sundays through May 17. Daily operations begin May 21, followed by The Boardwalk at Hersheypark water park opening on May 23 with two new water play areas - The Inlet and The Island at Bayside Pier. Hours vary by day. 

The amusement park of every chocolate lover's dreams features 121 acres with more than 70 rides, a water park with 17 water attractions (including the top 10 best water coaster and wave pool) and an 11-acre North American Wildlife Park – all accessible via a single admission.

Coasters and Family-Friendly Rides

Hersheypark Spring Weekends signal the return of the coaster-riding season after a cold and snowy winter in Central Pennsylvania. For dedicated thrill-seekers and casual parkgoers alike, this is the first opportunity of the year to experience the largest coaster collection in the Northeast. Hersheypark offers a truly unmatched lineup of attractions that cater to every level of adrenaline, ensuring plenty of thrills from mild to wild. 

Visitors during the spring season will find more than 50 attractions to explore, weather and maintenance permitting. Hersheypark is thoughtfully designed to welcome guests of all ages, including the youngest thrill-seekers, with nearly 20 kiddie rides that offer a first taste of amusement park fun. Families can enjoy mild thrills together, like the Kissing Tower, Ferris Wheel and Dry Gulch Railroad, which offer the most scenic views of the amusement park’s expansive 121-acre landscape. Dry Gulch Railroad, along with other select attractions, will celebrate a milestone anniversary in 2026, highlighting the rich history and enduring legacy of Hersheypark as a premier family destination.

While it’s not uncommon to see some hotter days in Central Pennsylvania during the spring season, The Boardwalk At Hersheypark will remain closed for Spring Weekends. The 11-acre water park will open daily from May 23 through Sept. 7 and will debut two new water park enhancements in summer 2026.

Hersheypark is open rain or shine, and while we can’t control the weather, we can control the fun with our Rainy Day Promise! If inclement weather causes the majority of major rides to close for more than 60 minutes, visitors can head to Guest Services to claim a FREE Return Visit Voucher, valid on any public operating day through Jan. 3, 2027. Please note that Return Visit Vouchers are issued in the day for the day based on the posted weather policy. Hershey Characters

For over 50 years, the iconic Hershey Characters have been a beloved staple of the Hersheypark experience, bringing joy and excitement to guests of all ages. Hersheypark is the only amusement park in the world where visitors can meet and greet with their favorite Hershey brands brought to life. During Spring Weekends, guests can snap selfies with two of the most popular Characters, Hersh and Reese, at Hersh's Hangout located in Hershey's Chocolatetown.

Insider Tip: In the event of inclement weather, the characters will be located outside the main entrance to the Chevrolet Music Box Theatre. To ensure guests don’t miss a photo opportunity, the official Hersheypark app is the go-to resource for appearance times and locations on the day of the guest’s visit.

Our Friends From The Sea Show

Located in the Aquatheatre inside Hersheypark is the Our Friends From The Sea show, presented in partnership with Ocean Connections throughout the Hersheypark operating year. This entertaining and educational show features animal care specialists interacting with California sea lions and Atlantic harbor seals to teach guests about marine life, conservation and the environment. 

Our Friends From The Sea is offered every operating day this spring at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Starting May 8, showtimes will change to 1:30 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. The educational show is included with a Hersheypark ticket. Animal lovers can elevate their visit with feeding and photo opportunities following each show for an additional fee.

Insider Tip: Guests interested in a VIP experience should consider the Flippered Friends & Family program, which includes a feeding and training session. The program is offered at noon on all Spring Weekends operating days. Registration is required in advance.

ZooAmerica Visits

ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park provides a break from the hustle and bustle of the Hersheypark midways with a quieter adventure. The 11-acre zoo offers a unique look at dozens of North American animals, including gray wolves, a black bear, river otters, Canada lynx and more. The best part? ZooAmerica is included with a Hersheypark ticket only by accessing the Zoo through the bridge inside Hersheypark during posted Park hours. This means that during Spring Weekends, guests of Hersheypark will be able to access ZooAmerica through the bridge from Park opening until 4:30 p.m., as ZooAmerica is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through May 22. It takes about one hour to walk through the whole Zoo, but guests are encouraged to observe the animal behavior and take as much time as they need to explore!
 

Insider Tip: ZooAmerica hosts behind-the-scenes tours during the spring season. These tours bring participants through non-public spaces and offer an up-close look at the North American animals. 

WHERE TO EAT

When guests visit Hersheypark during Spring Weekends, they will discover that the fun doesn’t stop at the thrilling rides and attractions - it extends to the incredible food offerings available throughout the Park. • Exciting news for sweet treat enthusiasts: Simply Chocolate is gearing up to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the King Size Shake. To mark a decade of decadent indulgence, Simply Chocolate will offer a limited-time Birthday Shake topped with rainbow cake and a cookie candle. Beyond the celebratory concoction, guests can enjoy fresh takes on the Chocolate Overload and Reese’s Peanut Butter varieties.

• A second Rita’s location will be added next to the Chick-fil-A patio in the Founder’s Way region, providing guests with another convenient option for a cool-down treat.

• Milton's Ice Cream Parlor will be open and ready to serve custom ice cream creations during Park operating hours for those craving a sweet treat. 

• Overlook Food Court will continue to offer allergen, vegan and gluten-friendly options, including wraps, salads, pizzas, chicken tenders, and vegan and gluten-friendly snacks.

Insider Tip: When available, guests can utilize the mobile ordering system at select locations around the Park through the Hersheypark app. New this year, guests can utilize their All-Day Dining Deal and Season Pass Dining Plans via mobile ordering. The Chocolatier Restaurant, Bar + Patio

Those seeking  a full-service option during their visit should look no further than The Chocolatier Restaurant, Bar + Patio. This signature dining location is open daily in Hershey's Chocolatetown. The restaurant offers a delightful menu of family fare with a fun spin and hints of chocolate, one-of-a-kind views and a second-story patio and bar open this spring, weather permitting.

Homeschool Day at ZooAmerica

Thursday, April 2; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park is open daily in April (including Easter Sunday) from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. On April 2, the Zoo will host a dedicated Homeschool Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., designed to provide an interactive educational experience for homeschooling students and their families. The theme for the day is "Animal Families," offering a curriculum-supplementing adventure focused on the different classes of the animal kingdom. 

The event will feature a variety of hands-on educational activities, engaging crafts and special animal enrichment to complement the lessons homeschooling students are currently learning. Numerous tables will be set up around the 11-acre zoo, each corresponding to reptiles, invertebrates, amphibians, mammals and birds. To help attendees navigate and make the most of the learning stations, complimentary educational booklets will be available for pickup at the Admissions Building. These booklets are designed for students to utilize at each station, providing additional information to support their learning journey.

The Fab Four at Hershey Theatre

Thursday, April 2; 7:30 p.m.

Hershey Theatre recently reopened to the public following its year-long historic renovation. A night at the theatre is a great way to celebrate the holiday weekend. The Fab Four – The Ultimate Tribute brings their all-new show to the Hershey Theatre stage on April 2, celebrating The Beatles’ second film, ‘HELP!,’ with performances from the movie soundtrack and the Beatles’ greatest hits of every era.

The Emmy Award-winning Fab Four is elevated far above every other Beatles Tribute due to their precise attention to detail. With uncanny, note-for-note live renditions of Beatles’ classics such as “Help!,” “Yesterday,” “A Day In The Life,” “Twist And Shout,” “Here Comes The Sun” and “Hey Jude,” the Fab Four will make you think you are watching the real thing.

Chocolate Lab Classes at The Hershey Story

Celebrate spring in the Chocolate Lab by making a sweet chocolate treat over Easter weekend! Located inside The Hershey Story Museum, the Chocolate Lab offers a hands-on experience where guests learn about the chocolate-making process and then make their own chocolate creation. Spring-themed classes include Butterfly Bark, Egg-citing Chocolate Bark, Marshmallow Bunny Tails and Spring Bar. Classes are 45 minutes long; children must be at least five years old to enter the lab.

Easter weekend marks the return to coaster riding at Hersheypark. The largest amusement park in Pennsylvania kicks off its 120th operating year on Friday, April 3, for the seven fun-filled Spring Weekends event. The Hershey's Miniatures height category at Hersheypark is for any guests under 36”. There are 28 kiddie rides and family attractions in this category for the youngest thrill-seekers at the amusement park. Some favorites include:

• Carrousel: One of the most historic rides in the Park sits in an illustrious home in Hershey’s Chocolatetown! Every member of the family can experience a ride on a moving horse, a stationary horse or a chariot on the 107-year old Carrousel.

• Convoy: This caravan of trucks moves at a low speed to ensure the precious cargo is delivered safely and sweetly to the Kissing Tower Hill area.

• Minty Bees: Originally known as Bizzy Bees, this buzzing attraction was rethemed in 2019 to complement the opening of the nearby interactive dark ride, Reese's Cupfusion, adding a refreshing minty twist for riders of Hershey’s Miniatures height (0-36”) through Hershey's Chocolate height (48-54 inches).

• Tiny Tracks: This mini train chugs along a track in the Midway America region. Riders can choose to relax in the caboose or ring the bell in the engine!

• Traffic Jam: Beep, beep! Children can ride motorcycles, cars and buses around the circle at a slow speed in the Founder's Way region of Hersheypark.

Hershey's Kisses Height Category

The Hershey's Kisses height category is for guests between 36" and 42" tall. There are 41 rides that fall into this category, including all of the Hershey’s Miniatures attractions, plus a few more moderate thrill rides and two roller coasters! 

• Frog Hopper: If a little one is not quite ready for the thrill level of Hershey Triple Tower, Frog Hopper is the perfect stepping stone. This ride lifts passengers, then "hops" them back down in the Kissing Tower Hill area.

• Cocoa Cruiser: The perfect first steel coaster, Cocoa Cruiser races around a bright yellow track for two fun-filled minutes.

• Reese's Cupfusion: Mint the Merciless has breached the Reese’s factory and come for the Crystal Cup. Do you have what it takes to stop him and The League of Misfit Candy during this interactive gaming ride?

• Swing Thing: This swing ride is the perfect way to introduce young guests to the feeling of flying through the air!

• Trailblazer: The second-oldest coaster at Hersheypark, Trailblazer features a helix that circles four times through Pioneer Country.

Reese's Height Category

The Reese’s height category is for guests 42” to 48” tall. This height category is the entry point for ridership on some high-thrill roller coasters, such as Comet and sooperdooperLooper. Guests measuring at the Reese’s height category can enjoy 56 attractions, which include most rides in the lower height categories. 

• Comet: Celebrating 80 years in 2026, the oldest coaster at Hersheypark is best known for delighting generations of families with several airtime-producing bunny hills.

• Laff Trakk: The first indoor, spinning, glow-coaster in the United States takes riders on an exciting adventure of sights and sounds, complete with glimpses of colorful characters, a dizzying hall of mirrors and more.

• Mix’d Flavored By Jolly Rancher: This ride begins by spinning 360 degrees, then shifts into gear and mixes in lifts, drops and never-before-seen views while dodging the other riders.

• sooperdooperLooper: Visitors of Reese's height category and above can experience the first-ever modern looping coaster on the East Coast! After a ride, don't forget to pick up an "I survived the sooperdooperLooper" shirt.

• Whitecap Racer: Located in The Boardwalk At Hersheypark water park, this mat racing slide features an industry-first of double looping tunnels with a Rally Point where neighboring competitors can be seen and heard. It is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day, weather permitting.

Hershey's Height Category

At the Hershey’s height category of 48” to 54”, guests can enjoy 65 attractions, including more iconic coasters and thrill rides! 

• Hershey Triple Tower: The first choose-your-thrill triple tower in the United States drops guests from various heights. 

• Jolly Rancher Remix: This reimagined coaster takes riders and their senses forward and back on the same flavorful track, as they blast through a flavor tunnel, invert six times in 90 seconds and jam to sweet tunes.

• Lightning Racer: This double-track wooden roller coaster features two staggered lifts and a thrilling element of competition.

• Twizzlers Twisted Gravity: Opened in 2025, the world's tallest Screamin' Swing ascends 137 feet and swings at speeds reaching 68 mph over Spring Creek in The Hollow region.

• Wildcat's Revenge: The wood and steel hybrid coaster climbs a 140-foot hill, hits a max speed of 62 mph, dives into an 82-degree drop, inverts four times, and stalks prey through the World's Largest Underflip on three custom trains.

Twizzlers and Jolly Rancher Height Categories

The final height categories are Twizzlers and Jolly Rancher. Twizzlers is for guests measuring 54-60", while Jolly Rancher is for guests over 60". At these measurements, guests can enjoy more than 50 must-do rides and coasters.

• Candymonium: The tallest, longest, fastest and sweetest coaster at Hersheypark spans seven acres in Hershey's Chocolatetown.

• Fahrenheit: Riders climb a steep, 121-foot lift hill before plummeting down the signature 97-degree drop.

• Great Bear: This inverted steel coaster leaves riders' feet dangling as it lifts 90 feet off the ground and launches into a thrilling, yet graceful course of drops, loops, corkscrews and a zero-g roll.

• Skyrush: This roller coaster takes a First Class flight 200 feet into the air before flying downhill at 75 mph. Riders experience four high-speed turns and five zero-G airtime hills - all from an upgraded, winged-seat coaster train!

• Storm Runner: The East Coast's only remaining hydraulic launch coaster launches riders from 0-72 mph in two seconds flat.

Guests with a cast or brace: Casts are not permitted on Wildcat's Revenge, Candymonium, Hershey Triple Tower, Skyrush, sooperdooperLooper and Twizzlers Twisted Gravity. There are signs posted at each ride indicating its restrictions. In most cases, your own discretion is suitable for whether or not you wish to ride a certain ride.

Guests accompanied by service animals: Service animals are welcome at Hersheypark and ZooAmerica. Service animals are limited to dogs and miniature horses that have been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of the individual with a disability. Although service animals are discouraged from riding any attraction, service animals will be permitted on the Monorail, Carrousel (chariots only), Kissing Tower, Dry Gulch Railroad, Ferris Wheel, Sunoco Classic Cars, and they will be permitted to enter The Boardwalk attractions up to the water’s edge. 

Hand-held infants: Guests should check the entrance to every Hersheypark attraction or the additional restrictions and accessibility section under each ride listed online for information. Each ride will indicate whether hand-held infants are allowed. Select rides include Monorail, Carrousel (chariots only), Dry Gulch Railroad, Ferris Wheel, Shoreline Sprayground and others based on restrictions. A hand-held infant is a child who is unable to walk to the attraction independently or maintain independent seated postural control.

Guests with medical conditions or expectant mothers: Guests can explore eligibility in the Attraction Accessibility Program at Accessibility Services, located outside the front gate, or at any in-park Guest Services location, where guests will be asked to complete and sign an Attraction Accessibility Questionnaire. Based on the questionnaire responses, guests may receive an Attraction Boarding Pass listing attractions they may enjoy.

Best Roller Coaster

Wildcat is back and seeking vengeance. Opened in 2023 as the first hybrid manufactured by Rocky Mountain Construction (RMC) in Pennsylvania, Wildcat's Revenge combines the best of wood and steel by adding a new steel track with unique elements to the wooden framework for a one-of-a-kind thrilling ride experience found only at Hersheypark. 

The 2-minute and 36-second experience begins as riders of Hershey's height category (48-54") and above climb a 140-foot hill on one of three custom trains, plunge into an 82-degree drop and hit a maximum speed of 62 miles per hour along 3,510 feet of red track on a black steel and wood structure. The pursuit continues as riders stalk their prey through four inversions, including the World’s Largest Underflip, which begins with an upward climb, followed by a counterclockwise 270° roll and a dive down towards the side. 

Wildcat's Revenge received the Amusement Today Golden Ticket Award for Best New Roller Coaster of 2023. The 15th coaster at Hersheypark was also named one of the top new attractions of 2023 by USA TODAY 10Best.

Here are some photos of the Skyrush cars returning to their yellow track. The iconic coaster takes a First Class flight 200 feet into the air before flying downhill at 75 mph. Riders experience four high speed turns, five zero-G airtime hills and upgraded seats and restraints - all from a winged-seat coaster train.

The team also captured some photos of the distinctly orange sooperdooperLooper train cars being lifted and placed back onto the steel track using a crane ahead of the Park's 120th operating year. Hersheypark Spring Weekends

The largest amusement park in Pennsylvania kicks off its 120th operating year on Friday, April 3, for the seven fun-filled Spring Weekends event through May 17. Hours vary by day this spring, with extended hours over Easter Weekend (April 3-5).

Hersheypark Supply Co. is also home to Ticketing Services from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 5 through March 15, where Season Pass Holders can prepare for the upcoming Park season. Here, King and Giant Size Pass Holders can pick up their Welcome Bags and souvenir cups, and along with Full Size Season Pass Holders, process their Pre-K Season Passes. From an iconic roller coaster and a family-friendly favorite to charming kiddie rides, these milestones underscore the success of Hersheypark in blending its historic past with modern-day thrills over the last 120 years. Read on to learn more about each of these special attractions. 

80 Years of Comet

The wooden wonder known as Comet opened in May 1946. This high-thrill attraction holds the distinction of being the oldest continuously operating roller coaster at the largest amusement park in Pennsylvania. Comet represents a piece of Hersheypark history, as it was the very last roller coaster purchased by the Park’s founder, Milton S. Hershey, before his passing in 1945. Today, it remains beloved by generations of park-goers, celebrated for its thrilling first drop, its scenic views of Spring Creek and its distinguished reign in an impressive ride lineup.

Comet delivers a timeless roller coaster experience as a classic double-out-and-back wooden coaster. Guests of the Reese's height category (42 inches tall) and above sit in one of its two signature 24-passenger trains, aptly named “Mork's Comet” and “Hailey's Comet." The ride begins with a 96-foot climb up a chain lift hill and down a signature first drop, reaching a top speed of 50 miles per hour. The ride continues with swooping turns, airtime-filled bunny hills and sweeping views of The Hollow region of the Park.

Comet is a three-season staple at Hersheypark, open for Spring Weekends, summer and Hersheypark Halloween, weather and maintenance permitting. For Hersheypark Halloween, Comet offers a special "dark ride" experience during the final hour of Park operation. The iconic string of chaser lights that outline the track is intentionally turned off, plunging the wooden coaster into near-total darkness. As the holiday season arrives, Comet takes an operational hiatus to become a part of the seasonal décor, with a light display of Santa and his reindeer positioned on the lift hill. 

Fun Fact: Comet was originally painted green to blend seamlessly into the Park's natural scenery and atmosphere. It was later repainted white, the color it retains today. The coaster has undergone multiple train iterations throughout its lifespan, the latest of which premiered in 2024 with a new, out-of-this-world design.

65 Years of Dry Gulch Railroad

Dry Gulch Railroad, a beloved staple of Hersheypark, marks a remarkable 65 years of operation in 2026, having officially opened its rails for scenic rides on April 23, 1961, according to the Hershey Community Archives. This miniature reproduction of a 19th-century steam-powered train is operated by steam engine engineers, using real steam engines to traverse its scenic route throughout Hersheypark. This makes Dry Gulch Railroad one of the few remaining amusement park railways in the United States that still operates on actual steam power.

Dry Gulch Railroad boasts two distinctive steam engines, affectionately named Scooter and Janelle. These engines pull the train cars along the track that winds its way through the Pioneer Frontier region of the Park. 

The family-friendly attraction for guests of all Hershey’s height categories operates during all four seasons at Hersheypark, weather and maintenance permitting. However, the ride experience truly shines during Hersheypark Christmas Candylane. The route is lined with thousands of shimmering lights and special displays, including the "12 Days of Christmas,” transforming the journey into a magical, immersive holiday experience.

Fun Fact: Beyond its role as a scenic ride, Dry Gulch Railroad holds a long-standing Hersheypark tradition: its whistle signals the official end of every Park operating day. One of the engineers drives the train to a strategically chosen spot—the trestle bridge adjacent to the launch track of Storm Runner—and allows the steam pressure to build to its maximum. What follows are five loud, resonant whistle blasts, serving as the universal signal that the Park is closed for every ride operator, staff member and guest.

65 Years of Pint-Sized Thrills

In 2026, two of the more than 20 kiddie rides at Hersheypark will also celebrate 65 years of providing fun, spins and smiles for the Park’s youngest thrill-seekers in the Founder's Way region. 

• Dizzy Drums: This classic spinning teacup-style ride is low-speed, allowing riders of Hershey’s Kisses height (36-42 inches), Reese's height (42-48 inches) and Hershey's Chocolate height (48-54 inches) to get a taste of the spins and twirls. Dizzy Drums was added to the Park in 1961 as Tubs-o-Fun. The name changed to Dizzy Drums in 1983.
• Minty Bees: Minty Bees was added to the Park in 1961 as Super Jets. It went through a few name changes, including Furry Tale Flyers (ca. 1970s) and Bizzy Bees (1989). The buzzing attraction was rethemed in 2019 to complement the opening of the nearby interactive dark ride, Reese's Cupfusion, adding a refreshing minty twist for riders of Hershey’s Miniatures height (0-36”) through Hershey's Chocolate height (48-54 inches).

Fun Fact: Unlike many other amusement parks that centralize their children's attractions in one area, Hersheypark ensures that attractions for guests of all height categories are readily accessible, no matter where a family is exploring. This intentional layout means that parents and children of all ages can always find suitable thrills within a short distance.

This time of year marks the busiest season for the dedicated full-time Hersheypark maintenance team consisting of more than 200 skilled professionals, including carpenters, electricians, laborers, machinists, mechanics, painters, sign artists, plumbers, utility workers and welders. Throughout the winter, these individuals meticulously disassemble, inspect, repaint, and reassemble each of the more than 70 Hersheypark attractions to ensure they are ready to deliver a safe, sweet experience on opening day, April 3, 2026.

We wanted to give you a rare glimpse inside the Hersheypark Service Center, where work is currently underway on fan-favorites, including Jolly Rancher Remix, Coal Cracker and Comet, which celebrates 80 years in 2026.

An Exclusive Look Inside the Hersheypark Service Center

The Hersheypark Service Center serves as the maintenance headquarters, where the majority of the Park's attractions and rides undergo their critical off-season upkeep. This expansive facility is strategically situated on the Hersheypark Entertainment Complex between the iconic Hersheypark Stadium and Hersheypark amusement park.

During the colder months, the Service Center becomes a temporary home for several major roller coasters that do not have dedicated maintenance bays integrated into their stations, such as Comet, sooperdooperLooper and Cocoa Cruiser, as well as beloved kiddie rides, like Minty Bees. This ride, along with Granny Bugs, Dizzy Drums and Traffic Jam, celebrates its 60th year of operation in 2026, a testament to the quality of its consistent maintenance.

The bustling Service Center also houses an array of specialized supporting departments. In the weld shop, the steel chassis of the iconic wooden racing coaster, Lightning Racer, is inspected. Adjacent to this area, carefully cataloged sections of steel top track for wooden coasters are stored. A short distance away, the fiberglass shop is a hub of bodywork for the Coal Cracker flume boats, Wildcat's Revenge seats and other attractions. 

Towards the rear of the Service Center are the sign and paint shops, dedicated to the aesthetic maintenance of Hersheypark. These departments are responsible for producing and restoring all of the Park's signage. Notably, the sign shop is also the designated destination for a fleet of hand-painted carousel horses from the 107-year-old Carrousel and Livery Stables. 

Outside the Service Center, many of the roller coasters have dedicated maintenance bays within their respective operational footprints, including Storm Runner, Wildcat's Revenge, Skyrush and Great Bear. 

Dry Gulch Railroad also benefits from this on-site maintenance structure, with its engine house situated below Jolly Rancher Remix. The steam-powered train is one of the few remaining within theme parks of the United States and operates throughout all Hersheypark seasons, which means its overhaul process does not begin until after the Park closes for Hersheypark Christmas Candylane. Between early January and the beginning of April, a highly specialized team of two individuals disassembles the trains, inspects the boilers, engines and cars, deep cleans the engines and trucks, and completes work on the track as weather permits. This year holds particular significance for the cherished piece of Hersheypark history: the real replica steam-powered railway will be celebrating its 65th anniversary.

During the off season, our Communications team is giving you a behind-the-scenes look at the Storm Runner overhaul process. A specialized team of four maintenance technicians is exclusively assigned to complete the winter maintenance of this globally recognized and fan-favorite hydraulic launch coaster. Two of the team members are dedicated to coaster train maintenance, while the other two oversee the hydraulic system. 

Coaster Train Maintenance

The months-long maintenance process begins in November, during the transition between the Park’s shoulder seasons. Following the conclusion of Hersheypark Halloween and Dark Nights, each Storm Runner coaster train is craned off the track and lowered into the maintenance bay below the ride platform. Storm Runner is one of seven attractions at Hersheypark featuring a maintenance bay directly at the ride. Once the trains are in the maintenance bay, two of the four maintenance team members disassemble them for extensive cleaning, a thorough inspection and a battery of non-destructive testing (NDT) procedures. 

The off-season coaster train maintenance culminates in mid-March when the trains are craned back onto the tracks. Once reinstalled, the maintenance team then dedicates several weeks to rigorous functional and operational testing before the attraction is cleared for opening day. 

However, the work certainly does not stop once Hersheypark Happy is in full swing. Ensuring the safety and operational efficiency of the Park's thrilling attractions is a constant, year-round commitment. A highly-trained two-person maintenance team is assigned to Storm Runner each morning to complete a rigorous 4-hour daily inspection. The inspection encompasses several critical areas, including a meticulous test of all lap bars and restraint mechanisms, a track walk, a hydraulics system check and coaster test runs. After this process is documented and signed off, the ride is cleared for operation.

Maintenance of the Hydraulic Launch System

What makes the maintenance process for Storm Runner especially unique is the additional care required for its hydraulic launch system. The coaster is one of three remaining in the United States (the last on the East Coast) to utilize a hydraulic launch.

The other two team members in the core Storm Runner maintenance group devote most of their work hours to the meticulous maintenance of this powerful apparatus, housed in its own building (often referred to as the “brains” of the coaster) near the base of the signature top hat. In this building, the heart of the launch system lies in a series of high-capacity accumulator tanks. These tanks are the key to storing the immense energy required for the instantaneous acceleration. 

The front portion of each tank is filled with hydraulic oil and the back side is comprised of nitrogen. A free-floating piston separates the two and assists in creating stored energy, which is then pushed through robust hoses into a powerful hydraulic motor. This motor is coupled to a gearbox, which, in turn, drives a large winch drum. Connected to the rotating winch drum is a steel cable that attaches to the "catch car," a specialized vehicle designed to engage with and propel the coaster train. The massive transfer of energy from the hydraulic system to the catch car enables the entire train to be launched up the steep incline of the launch track in just two seconds.

Ride Storm Runner at Hersheypark in 2026

Since its debut in 2004, Storm Runner has been a centerpiece of the amusement park, known for its launch system that catapults riders from a standstill to 72 miles per hour in mere seconds. Beyond its iconic high-speed start, which immediately sends riders rocketing 150 feet into the air over the signature “top hat” hill, Storm Runner offers a truly unique and complex layout. The ride then features a towering 135-foot cobra loop, an inverted "flying snake dive" and a multitude of intense barrel rolls and high-G turns before the train glides safely back into the station.

1. Most Holiday Lights in Pennsylvania

More than five million sparkling lights deck the halls of Hersheypark this year, including the guest-favorite NOEL light show, which features dancing lights choreographed to Christmas music along Spring Creek. NOEL starts nightly at 5 p.m. and runs every 30 minutes in The Hollow region. 

2. Family Attractions and Kiddie Rides

A selection of family-friendly and kiddie rides are open for Hersheypark Christmas Candylane, temperature and maintenance permitting. Dry Gulch Railroad is a must-ride, as the steam-powered train takes riders through areas of Hersheypark completely blanketed with lights. The railroad features a Christmas overlay with various displays that are only viewable from the ride, including the 12 Days of Christmas.  

There are also a few signature rides worth adding to the must-do list that provide dazzling views of the lights from above versus walking all 121 acres:

• Kissing Tower takes guests 250 feet up in the air to the highest point in Hershey for an aerial 360° view of Hersheypark and the town built on chocolate while learning about its history.
• The Ferris Wheel, with its festive light package, is more than just an iconic photo spot during the holidays. The family attraction is also a popular option for guests of every height category to enjoy the beautiful views from nearly 100 feet.
• Twizzlers Twisted Gravity makes its holiday debut in 2025 with a holiday light package and offers stunning new views of the fan-favorite NOEL light show.
• Hershey Triple Tower is ideal for thrill seekers looking to get a unique, bird's-eye view of the holiday lights. The attraction features a light package to add to the holiday spirit in the Kissing Tower Hill region.

To add to the Park's merry ambiance, some coasters that are closed for Hersheypark Christmas Candylane boast holiday decorations. Visitors can see holiday light packages on Skryush and a Santa sleigh light display on the lift hill of Comet. 

Tip: Temperature thresholds for the coasters are listed in the website FAQs. Generally, temperatures must be at least 38 degrees and rising to begin the day and stay above 38 degrees at night for select rides to operate. 4. Photos With Santa in the Mary N. Bright Airfield

Don't forget to make your list and check it twice because Santa Claus has come to town! Guests can visit with Santa and all nine of his reindeer in the Mary N. Bright Airfield located in Fahrenheit Catering inside Hersheypark. Santa’s favorite candy-stocking stop before his holiday ride is home to the Yule Lounge, where guests can get a photo with Santa, tell him their list and mingle with his elves through Dec. 24.

Tip: The Mary N. Bright Airfield may experience a high volume of travelers, so guests are encouraged to head there first.

5. All Nine of Santa's Reindeer

Rudolph and his are taking a break before their famous flight inside an old airplane hangar turned stables at Hersheypark! Guests can see the reindeer up close from behind a gated area in Hangar 96. Hersheypark is the only place in Pennsylvania with this magical experience featuring all nine of Santa’s reindeer during all hours of operation through Jan. 4, 2026.

Tip: Reindeer specialists from ZooAmerica are on-site to answer guest questions. 

6. Holly Jolly Hershey Character Sweet Greets

It's not a visit to Hersheypark without snapping a selfie with a Hershey Character! Parkgoers can stop by the Reese's Cup House located next to the Chevrolet Music Box Theatre and meet their favorite Hershey Characters, who are donning their coziest winter apparel.

10. Our Friends From The Sea

Weather permitting, guests can see the seals and sea lions during the Our Friends From The Sea show in the Aquatheatre at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. when Hersheypark Christmas Candylane opens at 12 p.m.

11. Zoo Visits

ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (closed on Christmas Day). The holiday season is a great time to visit the 11-acre Zoo as many North American animals in the outdoor habitats, like the gray wolves, river otters and Canada Lynx, are more active when the temperature drops. 

ZooAmerica is included with a Hersheypark ticket only by accessing the Zoo through the Hersheypark bridge during Park hours. Separate Zoo tickets are available for purchase online or at the ZooAmerica Admissions Building. 

Tip: Please note that the Zoo naturalists care for the reindeer at Hersheypark, so a Hersheypark Christmas Candylane ticket is required to view them.

12. Holiday Shopping

Hersheypark is home to more than one dozen retail locations that feature a blend of new collections and vintage designs for holiday gift-giving. Guests can give the gift of happy or take a piece home as their own souvenir.

• Hersheypark Supply Co. is a premier, 10,000-square-foot flagship store where guests can browse the largest collection of apparel, gifts, toys and more exclusive to Hersheypark. A Hersheypark ticket is not required to visit Hersheypark Supply Co. During Christmas Candylane operating days, the store is open from 10 a.m. until the Park is closed (closed Christmas Day).
• HP Collections is located inside the front gate and features a collection of curated premier brands and styles, including johnnie-O, Vuori, Adidas, Corkcicle and more.
• Prancer's Presents is new this holiday season. Located across from the Mary N. Bright Airfield, the store features exclusive Hersheypark Puppie Love merchandise.
• Candylane Emporium is a seasonal retail experience right outside of The Boardwalk for unique Christmas-themed apparel, gifts and more.
• Christmas Memories in Founder's Way next to Kettle Corn is full of Hersheypark and chocolate-themed holiday décor.

A holiday tradition for more than 40 years, Hersheypark Christmas Candylane runs on select dates through Jan. 4, 2026, with daily operations starting Dec. 18 (closed Christmas Day).

Most Holiday Lights at a Pennsylvania Amusement Park

More than five million sparkling lights deck the halls of Hersheypark this year, including the guest-favorite NOEL light show, which features dancing lights choreographed to Christmas music along Spring Creek. NOEL starts nightly at 5 p.m. and runs every 15 minutes in The Hollow region. 

Holiday Thrills on Select Coasters

Oh, what fun it is to ride on seven roller coasters during Hersheypark Christmas Candylane! The seasonal event is also one of the few remaining places in the Northeast to see holiday lights from high thrill roller coasters. Weather, maintenance and temperature permitting, thrill seekers can experience holiday thrills on the following coasters:

• Wildcat’s Revenge featuring a holiday light package
• Candymonium featuring a holiday light package

• Jolly Rancher Remix with a holiday overlay and seasonal scent

To add to the Park's merry ambiance, some coasters that are closed for Hersheypark Christmas Candylane boast holiday decorations. Visitors can see holiday light packages on Skyrush and Lightning Racer, as well as a Santa sleigh light display on the lift hill of Comet.

Tip: Temperature thresholds for the coasters and rides are listed on the website FAQs. Generally, temperatures must be at least 38 degrees and rising to begin the day and stay above 38 degrees at night for select rides to operate. If inclement weather causes the majority of major rides to close for more than 60 minutes, a FREE return visit voucher may be claimed at Guest Services.

Family Attractions and Kiddie Rides

A unique blend of family-friendly and kiddie rides is open for Hersheypark Christmas Candylane, weather, maintenance and temperature permitting. Dry Gulch Railroad is a must-ride, as the steam-powered train takes riders through areas of Hersheypark completely blanketed with lights. The railroad features a Christmas overlay with various displays that are only viewable from the ride, including the “12 Days of Christmas.”  

There are also a few signature rides worth adding to the must-do list that provide dazzling views of the lights from above, versus walking all 121 acres:

• Twizzlers Twisted Gravity: This Christmas Candylane marks the first winter for the world's tallest Screamin’ Swing, which will provide never-before-seen views of the fan-favorite NOEL light show.
• Kissing Tower: This iconic attraction, which celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2025, takes guests 250 feet up in the air to the highest point in Hershey for an aerial 360° view of Hersheypark and the town built on chocolate while learning about its history.
• Ferris Wheel: With its festive light package, this amusement park staple is more than just an iconic photo spot during the holidays. The family attraction is also a popular option for guests of every height category to enjoy the beautiful views from nearly 100 feet above.
• Hershey Triple Tower: Choose your tower and drop in for a unique, bird's-eye view of the holiday lights. The attraction features a light package to add to the holiday spirit in the Kissing Tower Hill region.

Photos With Santa at the Mary N. Bright Airfield

Don't forget to make your list and check it twice because Santa Claus has come to town! Guests can see Santa and all nine of his live reindeer at the Mary N. Bright Airfield, located inside Fahrenheit Catering at Hersheypark. Santa’s favorite candy-stocking stop before his holiday ride is home to the Yule Lounge, where guests can get a photo with Santa and share their list with him through Dec. 24.

Tip: The Mary N. Bright Airfield may experience a high volume of travelers, so we encourage guests to head there first.

All Nine of Santa's Reindeer

Rudolph and his friends are taking a break before their famous flight inside an old airplane hangar turned stables at Hersheypark! Guests can see the reindeer up close from behind a gated area in Hangar 96 during all hours of operation through Jan. 4, 2026. Hersheypark is one of the only places in the Northeast offering this magical experience, featuring all nine of Santa’s reindeer.

Tip: Reindeer specialists from ZooAmerica are on-site to answer guest questions. 

A Brand New Holiday Show

For the first time since 2019, Hersheypark will offer an all-new holiday stage show, Twinkling Thru Time, inside the heated Chevrolet Music Box Theatre venue. Guests can turn back the clock and step into a wondrous world where timeless holiday traditions meet iconic Christmas hits! With Granny Anne, journey through decades past and enjoy your favorite holiday hits that will have you toe tapping, singing along and even rocking around the Christmas Tree. 

Tip: Twinkling Thru Time runs through Dec. 28, 2025. On Hersheypark operating days that begin at 5 p.m., there will be three shows at 5:45, 7 and 8:15 p.m. On Park operating days that run from 12-8/9 p.m., there will be four shows at 1, 2:30, 6 and 7:30 p.m. On Christmas Eve, there will be three shows at 12:45, 2 and 3:15 p.m. 

Holly Jolly Hershey Character Sweet Greets

It's not a visit to Hersheypark without snapping a selfie with a Hershey Character! Parkgoers can visit the Reese's Cup House and meet Hersh, Reese and Twizz, who are donning their coziest winter apparel.

TREEville Trail (Opens Nov. 26)

Beginning Nov. 26, guests can enjoy a stroll through TREEville trail around East Coast Waterworks attraction in The Boardwalk At Hersheypark region, with more than 20 uniquely decorated trees sharing stories of The Sweetest Place On Earth - each making a great photo op.

Plus, on select days after Thanksgiving, Overlook Food Court will feature a new pop-up station with specialty holiday offerings, including meatballs with red pepper marinara, apple & brie egg rolls, a holiday meal plate and more.
• King Size Shakes: Perfect for sharing, Simply Chocolate offers three King Size Shakes: Gingerbread, Frozen Hot Chocolate and Reese's Peanut Butter. Milton's Ice Cream Parlor and The Sweeterie Confectionery Kitchen also have seasonal desserts.
• Hot Chocolate: Guests can warm up with four specialty hot chocolate flavors, topped with baked goods, at the Simply Chocolate Hot Chocolate Bar or boozy hot chocolate for those 21 and older at The Concourse Cocoa Bar, located inside Terminal C of the Mary N. The USA TODAY  Top 10Best theme park Halloween event continues to offer kid-friendly rides, chocolatey trick-or-treat adventures, festive Hershey Character experiences and more for families as part of Hersheypark Halloween before the immersive haunt experience begins at 6 p.m. Guests with young ghosts and goblins can use this guide of family-friendly things to do at Hersheypark Halloween to help plan their last visits of the spooky season. 

1. Enjoy a Thrill on Attractions for All Ages

Hersheypark Halloween tickets include access to 50 rides, weather and maintenance permitting, with options for all Hershey height categories, from more than 40 kiddie and family rides to over a dozen thrilling coasters. 

Thrill seekers in the family are in for a real treat, as the lights go out for dark rides on Candymonium, Comet, Lightning Racer and Wildcat's Revenge during the last hour of Hersheypark Halloween operation. This is also the first Hersheypark Halloween season for Twizzlers Twisted Gravity, the World's Tallest Screamin' Swing, which features a special light package to get your nighttime adrenaline pumping. 

This weekend is also the last chance to get rides on select high-thrill coasters before they close for winter maintenance ahead of the 2026 operating season. Check out this list of the coasters that will give their final rides of the year on Nov. 2 and won't return until the start of Spring Weekends.

2. Take a Ride on the All-New Shaq-A-Licious Laff Trakk

New for 2025, fans of Laff Trakk indoor coaster can experience the ride like never before as it evolves into Shaq-A-Licious Laff Trakk for the Hersheypark Halloween and Dark Nights season. This unique partnership between Hersheypark and The Hershey Company's Shaq-A-Licious brand features glowing visuals, amped-up audio and immersive graphic displays that capture the candy’s playful spirit. The themed overlay of Laff Trakk includes graphics, lighting and enhanced audio-visual treatments, including curated voice-over provided by Shaquille O’Neal, marking the first-of-its-kind coaster overlay.

3. Go Trick-or-Treating (for Guests 12 and Under)

There’s no sweeter place to trick-or-treat than Hersheypark! Children 12 and under are invited to wear a Halloween costume* and enjoy 14 sweet stops on the Hershey's Trick Or Treat Trail. The Trail winds from Hershey’s Chocolate World Attraction with four stops to Treatville at The Boardwalk At Hersheypark region with 10 candy stops, including an exclusive Shaq-A-Licious treat location.

Treatville is open at the start of each operating day until 8:30 p.m., including Halloween night on Friday, Oct. 31. The path begins at The Boardwalk main entrance across from Fallout Zone and Estate of Evil and winds throughout the water park with fun photo spots and a hay maze. 

A sweet surprise - all guests regardless of age can trick-or-treat through Treatville on Halloween, Oct. 31!

*Costume Policy

• All guests: Costumes that may cause confusion between the Dark Nights actors and guests are not permitted. Additionally, except as otherwise noted below, costumes are permitted on attractions provided they do not interfere with the restraint system, proper riding position, or cause a hazard to guests, employees, and/or the attraction. The loose articles policy for each attraction can be found under the “Additional Restrictions/Accessibility” link located on the information pages for each attraction on Hersheypark’s website, in the Rider Safety & Accessibility Guide, and on the Height Signs located at each attraction. Failure to adhere to the Hersheypark Costume Policy may result in the costume not being permitted or guest removal from the Park.
• Guests age 12 and under: Costumes and costume masks that provide unobstructed peripheral vision at all times with openings that allow the eyes to be fully seen may be worn. Costume masks are not allowed to be worn on any attractions. Having a fully painted face is permitted. This applies to guests who come to Hersheypark in makeup and also to guests who have their faces painted by the Park’s face painters.
• Guests age 13 and older: Costumes may be worn but must be family-friendly and may not be obstructive, offensive, revealing, objectionable, violent, or otherwise disrupt the general safety of guests or employees. Costumes may not contain any props or accessories that resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon. Costumes may not contain sharp objects, pointed objects or materials that may accidentally strike another guest. Layered costumes or costume props that surround the entire body are strongly discouraged and may be subject to additional security screening. Costumes may not drag on the ground as they could be a trip hazard. Costume masks are not permitted, but guests may have up to half of their face painted provided that it does not alter their identity.

4. Dance with the Hershey Characters at Shake, Rattle and Glow: Monster Ball

Join the Hersheypark ghosts and ghouls for the time of their afterlives as they choose the Monster Of The Year at the third annual Shake, Rattle and Glow: Monster Ball. Hersh takes the mic and leads the creatures through a spooky pageant that includes three new musical sections. 

Shake, Rattle and Glow: Monster Ball is offered each day of Hersheypark Halloween inside the Chevrolet Music Box Theatre, with three times on Fridays and four times on Saturdays and Sundays. Showtimes on Fridays are 6, 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. Showtimes on Saturdays and Sundays are 4, 6, 7:30 and 8:30 p.m.

9. Explore Dark Nights Haunted Houses and Scare Zones

If your family wants to give scare a try, the nightmare continues for Dark Nights in its fourth year with new, blood-curdling frights lurking about beginning nightly at 6 p.m. A Hersheypark Halloween ticket or 2025 Hersheypark Season Pass includes Dark Nights admission with five haunted houses and four spine-chilling scare zones that vary in intensity. 

New in 2025 is the Kill ‘N Fill Garage Haunted House. Fueled by evil, killers have taken over the abandoned Kill ’N Fill Garage, and what goes on behind the rusted chain link fence is sure to send sparks flying. Also new is Path of Shadows Coven's Curse, a scare zone featuring three mysterious witches. 

Some aspects of the experience may be too intense for children younger than 13. Parental discretion and guidance are advised.

Coasters Closing After November 2

With the colder months fast approaching, it's almost time for some of the high-thrill coasters to close as they prepare for winter maintenance ahead of the 2026 operating season. During the last hour of Hersheypark Halloween operation each evening, the lights are turned off on Wildcat’s Revenge, Candymonium, Comet and Lightning Racer to create a ride experience unlike any other. O’Neal Wows MHS Students 

O’Neal surprised students during the school’s “Our Big Pledge Challenge” event, where he played games and encouraged the crowd to embrace values such as strength, purpose and perseverance. He then joined 2,500 students and staff in signing a commitment wall, leaving both a literal and symbolic mark on the school’s history.

Bringing Big Laughs to Hersheypark 

The excitement continued at Hersheypark, where O’Neal and a group of MHS students checked out the newly launched Shaq-A-Licious Laff Trakk, an immersive overlay of the indoor glowing coaster offered as part of its Hersheypark Halloween and Dark Nights seasonal event, which runs through Nov. 2, 2025. The first-of-its-kind coaster overlay features graphics, lighting and enhanced audio-visual treatments, including a curated voice 
over by O’Neal. 

While in the Park, O’Neal also recorded an episode of The Big Podcast with Shaq.

Big, Meet Delicious 

Shaq-A-Licious Laff Trakk is inspired by Shaquille’s Shaq-A-Licious XL Gummies, created in partnership with The Hershey Company. The oversized gummies are available now in Original, Sour and new Sneaker Shapes. Following its launch in 2024, Shaq-A-Licious XL Gummies became Hershey's #1 sweets launch of the year.

Coasters and Rides
Weather and maintenance permitting, 50 rides are open during Hersheypark Halloween, with options for all Hershey height categories—from kiddie rides for the youngest guests to light-out coaster rides for thrill seekers. During the last hour of Park operation, the lights will go out for dark rides on some favorites, including Wildcat’s Revenge, Candymonium, Comet and Lightning Racer coasters. 

New for 2025, fans of Laff Trakk indoor coaster will experience the ride like never before as it evolves into Shaq-A-Licious Laff Trakk for the Hersheypark Halloween and Dark Nights season. This unique partnership between Hersheypark and The Hershey Company's Shaq-A-Licious brand will feature glowing visuals, amped-up audio and immersive graphic displays that capture the candy’s playful spirit. The themed overlay of Laff Trakk includes graphics, lighting and enhanced audio-visual treatments, including curated voice-over provided by Mr. O’Neal, marking the first-of-its-kind coaster overlay.

Please note that select kiddie and family rides may close by 5 p.m. before the start of Dark Nights. These attractions include Granny Bugs, Music Express, Pony Parade, Red Baron, Sweet Swing, Tea Cups and Trailblazer. Tiny Tracks is temporarily closed throughout Hersheypark Halloween. Trick-or-Treating Experience
There’s no sweeter place to trick-or-treat than Hersheypark! Children 12 and younger are invited to collect their favorite candy at 14 sweet stops on the Hershey’s Trick-or-Treat Trail each operating evening until 8:30  p.m. The Trail winds from Hershey’s Chocolate World Attraction with four locations to Treatville in The Boardwalk At Hersheypark region with 10 stops. Guests can enter Treatville across from Fahrenheit and experience fun photo backdrops, a hay maze and light displays at night. 

Avenue Of The Afterlife
For guests who want to avoid the scares during Dark Nights, there is the Avenue Of The Afterlife path in the water park to skip the scare while enjoying the season's thrills without fear. The scare-free zone features a DJ dance party, wicked-fun street performers and exclusive food offerings.

Shake, Rattle and Glow: Monster Ball

The largest amusement park in Pennsylvania is open on Friday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Monday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. for guests to celebrate a sweet end to summer with coaster rides, King Size Shakes and gravity-defying thrills. 

Great ticket deals are available online. The tickets include more than 70 rides and a water park, weather and maintenance permitting, plus access to an 11-acre zoo with dozens of North American animals. 

Please note that Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 1, is the last operating day of 2025 for The Boardwalk At Hersheypark.

ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park is open daily through Sept. 1 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with special animal encounters, educational activities and training observations included with admission every day of the week, weather permitting.

Animal lovers can sweeten a zoo visit by going behind the scenes during brand-new Premium Animal Feedings with river otters, black bears or gray wolves. The 30-minute encounters include the opportunity to feed the animals while learning all about their natural history and even observing unique behaviors. Hershey's Chocolate World Attraction is open daily over Labor Day weekend. Visitors can enjoy free admission to the Hershey's Chocolate Tour, which features a limited-time Pokémon Scavenger Hunt through Sept. 5. For an added cost, guests can also take a fantastical journey through colorful lands inspired by Hershey candies on the HERSHEY'S Great Candy Expedition, make their candy dreams a reality at the Create Your Own Candy Bar experience, become a chocolate tasting expert at the Hershey's Unwrapped experience and indulge in delicious food and drink offerings.

See Botanical Beauty at Hershey Gardens

It’s not a complete visit to Hershey without strolling the 23 acres of botanical beauty at Hershey Gardens, which is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Labor Day. Hershey Gardens features 13 themed gardens and an indoor tropical Butterfly Atrium, which features hundreds of butterflies from around the world.

The Hershey Story Museum honors and preserves the life and legacy of Milton S. Hershey, the town he created and the lives he touched. Comet (1946)

Located in The Hollow region

Comet is the oldest continuously operating roller coaster at Hersheypark and the last to be purchased by Milton S. Hershey, though he would never get to see it open. When it was first constructed, Comet was the largest roller coaster in the United States. It was initially painted green as Mr. Hershey preferred his rides this color to blend into the scenery and atmosphere of the Park. It was eventually painted white and remains so today.

The classic wooden coaster is best known for delighting generations of riders of Reese's height category (42-48") and above with several airtime-producing bunny hills. During its 1-minute and 45-second ride, the coaster climbs 96 feet and reaches a top speed of 50 mph along 3,360 feet of track.

In spring 2024, Comet received a new out-of-this-world train design and new seats for the next generation of riders. 

Trailblazer (1974)

Located in the Pioneer Frontier region

Trailblazer is the second-oldest running coaster in the Park. It is a family favorite and often one of the first coaster rides for young guests of the KISSES height category (36-42") and above. Trailblazer features a helix that circles four times and reaches a maximum speed of 45 mph during the 75-second ride. 

At its opening, Trailblazer was the first major coaster to be added to Hersheypark in 18 years. Kicking off the Park's expansion of Pioneer Frontier, it was the first attraction at Hersheypark to be completely themed. 

sooperdooperLooper (1977)

Located in The Hollow region

When it opened in 1977, the sooperdooperLooper was the first modern looping coaster on the East Coast and only the second of its kind in the United States. Over the years, it has served as the first “upside-down” coaster ride for many young Hersheypark guests of Reese's height category (42-48") and above.

Throughout the nearly 2-minute ride, riders experience a family-friendly course of small dips, drops, bunny hills and the famous vertical loop. The classic steel coaster features a ride height of 57 feet and a maximum speed of 45 mph. 

The famous “I Survived the sooperdooperLooper” phrase was coined in 1977 after one of the first riders on the opening day came off the ride feeling as though he really had survived the ride. As a souvenir, riders can purchase an “I Survived the sooperdooperLooper” shirt—the most popular shirt ever sold at Hersheypark. 

Great Bear (1998)

Located in the Kissing Tower Hill region

Feel the roar of Great Bear, the only inverted roller coaster at Hersheypark! The popular roller coaster is known for its signature roaring bear noise from the wheels' vibration resonating against the hollow track beams.

Great Bear lifts riders of Twizzlers height category (54-60") and above with their feet dangling 90 feet off the ground and launches into a thrilling yet graceful course of drops, loops, corkscrews and a zero-g roll at a maximum speed of 61 mph!

Wild Mouse (1999)

Located in the Midway America region

Thrill-squeakers agree that Wild Mouse is a can't-miss coaster at Hersheypark. It is the only roller coaster at Hersheypark to never stop! Riders of Hershey's height category (48-54") and above experience the wild illusion of falling, as the coaster scurries through a course of tight corners, exciting drops and six 180-degree hairpin switchback turns during the nearly 2-minute ride. The best part? it is open for all four seasons, weather and maintenance permitting!

Lightning Racer (2000)

Located in the Midway America region

The race is on between thunder and lightning! Lightning Racer was the first wooden racing and dueling roller coaster in the United States and is celebrating 25 years in 2025! 

The double-track wooden roller coaster features two staggered lifts, so riders of Hershey's height category (48-54") and above experience race against each other. Throughout the 1-minute, 20-second ride, Lightning Racer reaches a maximum speed of 50 mph for a thrilling element of competition. Although you see lightning before you hear thunder, the winner of Lightning Racer is primarily based on the weight of each train.

Storm Runner (2004)

Located in the Pioneer Frontier region

"Now get ready, here we go!" Storm Runner is the only launch coaster of its kind on the East Coast. The high-thrill roller coaster hydraulically launches riders of Twizzlers height category (54-60") and above from 0 to 72 mph in only two seconds, lifting them 18 stories straight up and then down. The coaster exerts more than 8,000 horsepower - quicker than the world’s fastest vehicle.

During the 1-minute ride, this one-of-a-kind coaster takes riders through a thrilling 135-foot cobra loop, barrel rolls, a dramatic flying snake dive and a screeching halt before slowly gliding back into the station. Storm Runner is the first coaster to have a dual-loading station with switch tracks, allowing for quick transitions between rides.

Fahrenheit (2008)

Located in the Pioneer Frontier region

It's 97 degrees and falling fast! Fahrenheit is the steepest coaster in Hersheypark with a 97-degree negative drop following a 90-degree, 121-foot ascent.  Riders of Twizzlers height category (54-60") and above fly through a memorable course of loops, corkscrews, dives and plenty of thrilling airtime as they reach a maximum speed of 58 mph, which is faster than a lion.

Skyrush (2012)

Located in The Hollow region

Prepare for takeoff - Skyrush is the ultimate roller coaster for thrill seekers. Riders of Twizzlers height category (54-60") and above take a first-class flight 200 feet into the air before flying downhill at 75 mph on Skyrush. The coaster features four high-speed turns and five zero-G airtime hills along 3,600 feet of yellow track over Spring Creek. Supports to hold the force of Skyrush down were drilled up to 120 feet into the ground - the same height as the tallest drop on Fahrenheit.

In spring 2024, Skyrush upgraded its flight to first class with all-new seats and restraints. Passengers now board Skyrush from a reimagined station platform featuring an all-new paint scheme, lighting effects and custom soundscape. The investment in the high-thrill attraction provides coaster lovers with added comfort while experiencing the adrenaline rush they know and crave. 

Cocoa Cruiser (2014)

Located in the Founder's Way region

Cocoa Cruiser is a steel family roller coaster at Hersheypark that allows the youngest guests of KISSES height category (36-42") and above to experience a sweet coaster thrill for the first time. Parents can enjoy the fun milestone alongside their child as they race around the Hershey's chocolate-inspired track for two fun-filled minutes. 

Laff Trakk (2015)

Located in the Midway America region

Themed after traditional American funhouses, Laff Trakk was the first indoor spinning glow-coaster in the United States. It spins riders of Reese's height category (42-48") and above through an exciting adventure of sights and sounds complete with glimpses of colorful characters, a dizzying hall of mirrors and more.

Hersheypark and Shaquille O’Neal just announced an immersive overlay of Laff Trakk as part of Hersheypark Halloween seasonal event and Dark Nights haunt experience. The themed overlay includes graphics, lighting and enhanced audiovisual treatments, including a curated voice-over provided by Mr. O’Neal. Laff Trakk also receives a festive overlay during Christmas Candylane with a special neon tree in the center of the coaster.

Breakers Edge (2018)

Located in The Boardwalk At Hersheypark

Breakers Edge Water Coaster combines everything guests love about water attractions with a coaster experience. Located in the 11-acre water park, the first HydroMAGNETIC coaster at Hersheypark rockets riders of Reese's height category (42-48") and above on rafts through thrilling splash-filled hills, intense open-air FlyingSAUCER turns and high-speed tunnels. 

Candymonium (2020)

Located in the Hershey's Chocolatetown region

Candymonium spans seven acres along 4,636 feet of chocolate-brown track at the front of Hersheypark in the Hershey's Chocolatetown region.  The hypercoaster features a lift height of 210 feet and a maximum speed of 76 mph - making it the tallest and fastest roller coaster in Hersheypark. Riders of Twizzler's height category (54-60") and above will experience seven camelback hills and a 123-degree hammerhead curve that serve up the ultimate feeling of freedom with the most airtime in the Park. The finishing touch is an impressive panoramic banked curve that wraps around the iconic Kisses Fountain.

Candymonium celebrates 5 years of thrills in 2025. The out-and-back-style coaster is open for all four seasons, weather and maintenance permitting!

Jolly Rancher Remix (2022)

Located in the Pioneer Frontier region

In 2022, the Hersheypark skyline got brighter with Jolly Rancher Remix. Formerly known as Sidewinder, the reimagined boomerang roller coaster takes guests on a flavor ride by sending them and their senses forward and back on the same flavorful track during all four seasons, with seasonal overlays during Hersheypark Halloween and Hersheypark Christmas Candylane, weather and maintenance permitting. 

Riders of Hershey’s height category (48”) and above blast through the flavor tunnel, invert six times in 90 seconds and jam to sweet tunes. Each ride is different with five randomized flavor rides like Watermelon or Green Apple, complete with unique music, lights and scents for an only-in-Hershey sensory experience. Because of its shape, Jolly Rancher Remix is the only major coaster at Hersheypark to use only one train.

Wildcat's Revenge (2023)

Located in the Midway America region

Wildcat is back, and seeking vengeance. Wildcat's Revenge hybrid coaster opened to the public in June 2023, 100 years after the first Wild Cat roller coaster debuted at Hersheypark. Manufactured by Rocky Mountain Construction (RMC),  Wildcat's Revenge combines the best of wood and steel by adding an all-new steel track with unique elements to the wooden framework for a one-of-a-kind thrilling ride experience found only at Hersheypark. It is the first hybrid coaster at Hersheypark and the first of its kind in Pennsylvania.

Riders of Hershey’s height category (48”) and above climb a 140-foot hill, hit a maximum speed of 62 mph, dive into an 82-degree drop, invert four times and stalk their prey through the World's Largest Underflip on three custom trains.

Wildcat's Revenge pays tribute to the unique history of the “Wild Cat” name at Hersheypark, which was the eventual name of the Park's first coaster purchased by founder Milton S. Hershey in 1923. The current hybrid coaster also reuses the existing wooden framework of the Park's 5th coaster, Wildcat (1996-2022), and features a segment of the former coaster's original wooden track at its entrance.

Since its debut, Wildcat's Revenge has received multiple awards, including the prestigious Golden Ticket Award for Best New Coaster of 2023, a top 10 new attraction in 2023 by USA Today 10Best and a top 10 coaster nationwide in 2024 by USA Today 10Best.

Before entering Hersheypark, guests can learn more about MHS at a digital screen activation in the plaza. Hershey's Chocolatetown also features special projects worked on in partnership with MHS students through the Hershey Project Pathways program (HPP).

3. Snap a photo at the Kisses Fountain

The Kisses Fountain is the sweetest, only-in-Hershey backdrop for a memorable family photo. Lucky guests may even catch the Hersheypark band playing some sweet tunes in front of the Fountain as they arrive in the morning. 

In addition to the Kisses Fountain, other hints of chocolate and candy are intentionally placed throughout Hershey’s Chocolatetown. Guests can see two Kisses-shaped planters, 100+ Hershey Bar pips in the paving, 28 linear feet of Twizzlers railing and 51 unwrapped Kisses.

4. Conquer Candymonium hyper coaster

Coaster fans are in for a sweet ride on Candymonium, the tallest, fastest, longest and sweetest coaster in Hersheypark. From the distinctive Hershey's candy theme to the memorable thrills around every turn, Hersheypark masterfully assembled the finest ingredients to create a one-of-a-kind Bolliger & Mabillard hyper coaster that opened on June 3, 2020. The out-and-back style coaster features a 4,636-foot milk chocolate track spanning seven acres in Hershey's Chocolatetown.

Riders of Twizzlers height (54-60") and above embark on a heart-pounding, 210-foot ascent up the tallest hill in Hersheypark, then dip into thrilling drops, including seven camelback hills that serve up the ultimate feeling of freedom with the most airtime of any of the Park's 15 coasters. The finishing touch is an impressive panoramic banked curve around the iconic Kisses Fountain.

5. Ride the Carrousel

One of the most historic rides in Hersheypark was moved to a new home in Hershey’s Chocolatetown five years ago. The 106-year-old Carrousel is housed in a blue pavilion that reflects the personality of the newest region with a nod to the original pavilion design from the early 1940s. The Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters (PTC) treasure is often the first one guests enjoy as they enter Hersheypark or the last ride of the day before they leave. Guests can choose from 66 original hand-carved, wooden horses - 42 jumping horses and 24 stationary horses - and two magnificent chariots. 

6. Fuel up at Starbucks

Guests looking for a caffeine boost can enjoy their favorite Starbucks coffee and snacks at the first-ever Starbucks location inside Hersheypark. There is indoor seating and a patio along Spring Creek overlooking Candymonium.

7. Shop for sweet souvenirs

Hershey’s Chocolatetown has three retail locations, each featuring a unique blend of new collections and vintage designs. Guests should plan a visit to the following stores during their next trip to Hersheypark for a sweet souvenir:

• Hersheypark Supply Co. is a premier, 10,000-square-foot flagship store where guests can browse the largest collection of apparel, gifts, toys and more exclusive to Hersheypark. 
• HP Collections is a shopping destination with a collection of curated premier brands and styles, including johnnie-O, Vuori, Adidas, Corkcicle and a dedicated Lululemon selection.
• New for 2025, guests can visit HP Toys & Collectables to view a selection of plush characters, popular toys and exciting souvenirs.

8. Dine at The Chocolatier Restaurant, Bar + Patio

The Chocolatier Restaurant, Bar + Patio is the flagship culinary experience at Hersheypark. Opened in spring 2021, the full-service restaurant serves up classic family fare with a fun spin and hints of chocolate, while showcasing the lasting impact that The Chocolatier himself made. Diners can choose from indoor booth seating themed around Comet and Tilt-A-Whirl to an outdoor patio featuring past and present rides and one-of-a-kind views of Candymonium, the iconic Kisses Fountain and the Carrousel.

A Fun-to-Table menu includes staples like the Ferris Wheel appetizer, Chocolatetown Burger, Reese’s Take5 Chicken Sandwich, Heath Bar Crusted Salmon and Cocoa-Dusted Beef Short Ribs, along with over-the-top Hershey's candy-inspired milkshakes, sundaes and desserts. Guests ages 21 and older can enjoy unique cocktails from the Carrousel Bar, which boasts two replica horses from one of the most storied Hersheypark attractions.

Reservations are strongly encouraged but not available for outdoor patio dining. Guests interested in re-entering Hersheypark after enjoying the patio will need to get their hands stamped. 

9. Stop by Milton's Ice Cream Parlor

Milton's Ice Cream Parlor is a must-visit during a trip to Hersheypark - and one of the sweetest ways to beat the heat on a summer day! Inspired by Mr. Hershey's early ventures in sweetness that came before his famous chocolate factory, expert Ice Creamologists craft custom creations from 100 percent local dairy house-made ice cream, Hershey's candy toppings, decadent sauces, and more. All-new this summer, Milton's Ice Cream Parlor offers a reimagined menu featuring fresh donuts topped with fresh fruit, Hershey's candies and more, in addition to the favorite ice cream creations. 

Given its location outside of the front gate, guests with or without a Hersheypark ticket can dine at Milton's.

10. Take Home a sweet treat

A visit to Hersheypark is not complete without taking home something sweet. Guests leaving Hersheypark can stop by The Sweeterie Confectionery Kitchen for a curated collection of mouth-watering confections, including chocolate-dipped treats, decadent desserts, signature fudge and more. Just like Milton's, The Sweeterie does not require a Hersheypark ticket.

For nearly 25 days, including Halloween night, guests can experience five haunted houses, including the all-new Kill ‘N Fill Garage haunted house, four scare zones with the new Path of Shadows: Coven’s Curse scare zone, 50 attractions and dark coaster rides, Hershey’s Trick-or-Treat Trail and more - all included with a Hersheypark Halloween ticket. The seasonal event will also feature exclusive culinary creations, including the return of the popular Dark Nights Tasting Pass and Avenue Of The Afterlife path with themed food and drink offerings and live entertainment. 

Hersheypark Halloween event hours are 5-10 p.m. on Fridays, 12-10 p.m. on Saturdays and 12-9 p.m. on Sundays. Dark Nights begins each night at 6 p.m. and extends one hour after the Park closes, running Fridays and Saturdays until 11 p.m. and Sundays until 10 p.m.

Dark Nights

The terrifying next chapter of Dark Nights at Hersheypark Halloween begins nightly at 6 p.m. Dark Nights features five haunted houses with all-new and evolved stories containing more creatures, chaos and intensity. 

• Kill ‘N Fill Garage (NEW FOR 2025): Fueled by evil, the Kill 'N Fill Garage hums with danger, and what goes on behind the rusted chain link fence is sure to send sparks flying. Enter the grease-stained mechanics bay, squeeze through the shadowy back office, weave around twisted wreckage in the body shop, escape the claustrophobia of the storeroom, and wade through the blood-slicked car wash. But, beware… the screams start when the engines die. 
• Estate of Evil: The 13 rooms in this mansion offer charm, mystery, and a new sauna that is sure to make you sweat. Just be warned: the last guests who overstayed their welcome are still feeling the heat. 
• Auntie Mortem’s Abattoir: The Mortem family just added a packing room to the tour. Her nephew is stepping up his game, and his twisted cousin is on hand to keep the family business running… no matter what (or who) comes through the door.
• Haunted Coal Mine: Head back down into the suffocating darkness of the mines, where time slows down, and the air runs thin. Step inside a new room that offers a breath of relief…but not for long. Down here, not everything that breathes is human. 
• Twisted Carnevil: Step right up! The big top is abuzz with new acts. But watch your back! One of the new performers leaves more than a mark… they leave a permanent impression. 

Also, as part of Dark Nights, midways will transform into four Scare Zones - more than ever before - each evening.

• Path of Shadows: Coven’s Curse (NEW FOR 2025): Long hidden from sight, the Path Of Shadows has opened, and 3 mysterious witches have emerged. Tread carefully through our all-new scare zone, where something wicked is brewing, or run the risk of becoming the next victim of the Coven’s Curse. 
• Darkstone’s Hollow: After a brutal battle, Professor Darkstone stands victorious, his mythical menagerie broken and caged. The creatures are under Darkstone’s command for now, but you can feel the danger in the air. Stay hidden or be hunted.
• Midway Of Misery: Beware, in between the flamed arches and amongst the thick fog, creatures may appear when you least expect it.
• Fallout Zone: The green fog is back, and radiation is spreading. Chaos is rising, and the real threat isn’t the fallout… it’s the aftermath.

Hersheypark Halloween

Families can experience Hersheypark Halloween as they play by day and fright by night, with thrills on 50 rides and attractions (weather and maintenance permitting), dark rides on select coasters during the last hour of 
Park operation, trick-or-treating with 14 stops (10 in Treatville region and four at Hershey’s Chocolate World), the Avenue Of The Afterlife, Hershey Character appearances, kid-friendly entertainment with the return of the popular Shake, Rattle and Glow: Monster Ball show in Chevrolet Music Box Theatre venue and the original Creatures Of The Night flashlight tour celebrating its 45th anniversary at ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park. 

Limited-Time Culinary Creations and Retail

Hersheypark Halloween and Dark Nights will feature an elevated food and beverage scene with more than 50 scary good eats and spell-binding drinks. 

Terror Tots are back by popular demand, along with new items, including Dirty Soda, Conchas and Mac N' Cheese Balls made with CHEETOS Crunchy FLAMIN’ HOT Cheese Flavored Snacks. Stay tuned to the Hersheypark social media channels for more official reveals closer to the start of the season. 

The Dark Nights Tasting Pass returns for guests to taste five frightfully delicious snacks, desserts and drinks available exclusively during Dark Nights. 

Located in the Hershey’s Chocolatetown region, The Chocolatier Restaurant, Bar + Patio will bring back Spirit’s Rooftop Bar, a rooftop rendezvous available during all Hersheypark Halloween and Dark Nights operating days. There will be more tasty details about an all-new menu to come.

Guests can take home a piece of Dark Nights with event-exclusive branded merchandise, which will be revealed closer to the season.

All-New Twizzlers Twisted Gravity Ride

Fit for the ultimate thrill seeker, Twizzlers Twisted Gravity opens to the public on May 24, 2025, as the World's Tallest Screamin' Swing. The high-thrill pendulum attraction manufactured by S&S Worldwide features the newest candy to join the Hersheypark skyline. Riders of Hershey's height category (48-54") and above ascend 137 adrenaline-pumping feet, defy gravity at speeds reaching 68 miles per hour and experience multiple mind-bending zero G moments as they swing high above Spring Creek in The Hollow region of Hersheypark. 

Coasters and Family-Friendly Rides

Thrill seekers can also take a ride on 15 iconic coasters this summer. Hersheypark is home to the most coasters in the Northeast, which means plenty of opportunities to experience hair-raising thrills and the ultimate airtime this summer. 

Including its iconic coaster collection, Hersheypark offers more than 70 summer attractions, weather permitting, with something for everyone. The youngest guests can enjoy nearly 20 kiddie rides, while those who prefer mild thrills can take in the clean and green views of the 121-acre amusement park from attractions like Dry Gulch Railroad, Ferris Wheel, Kissing Tower and Monorail. Kissing Tower is one of five Hersheypark rides celebrating milestone anniversaries in 2025.

Insider Tip: Download the Hersheypark app for real-time ride availability and wait times. Hersheypark is open rain or shine. In the event that inclement weather conditions or cold temperatures cause our major rides to close for a continuous 60 minutes, a Return Visit Voucher will be issued at Guest Services for a return visit for the same current operating season.

Summer Splashes at The Boardwalk

The Boardwalk At Hersheypark is an 11-acre water park open daily from May 24 through Sept. 1, 2025, weather permitting. Guests can cool off on 16 water attractions, including a lazy river, wave pool, water coaster, racing water slides and more.

Hershey Characters

For more than 50 years, Hershey Characters have delighted generations of guests while visiting Hersheypark. In fact, Hersheypark is the only amusement park in the world where visitors can meet and greet with their favorite Hershey brands. New for summer 2025, visitors of all ages can test their knowledge of the 121-acre amusement park at Twizz's Twisted Trivia inside the air-conditioned Chevrolet Music Box Theatre daily at 2:30 p.m., 3:45 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. The high-energy trivia game features your favorite Hershey Characters and lots of music and dancing.

Insider Tip: The Hersheypark app will list Character appearance times on the day of your visit. After the show, the Hershey Characters stick around inside Music Box Theatre for photos with guests.

Our Friends From The Sea

Did you know that Hersheypark has an Aquatheatre where a marine mammal show takes place throughout the operating year? Held in partnership with Ocean Connections, the Our Friends From The Sea show features animal care specialists interacting with California sea lions and Atlantic harbor seals to teach guests about marine life, conservation and the environment.  

Our Friends From The Sea is offered every day this summer at 12 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. The educational show is included with a Hersheypark ticket.

Insider Tip: Guests interested in a VIP experience should consider the new Ocean Encounter - Touch & Feed program. It features the opportunity to feed and give a back rub to one of the seals or sea lions, a commemorative photo, a behind-the-scenes tour and preferred seating for the show. Registration is required in advance.

ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park

Parkgoers looking for a break from coaster riding can also head to ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park to see dozens of North American animals, such as black bears, gray wolves, river otters and Canada lynx. The 11-acre zoo is included with a Hersheypark ticket only by accessing the Zoo through the bridge inside Hersheypark during posted Park hours. It takes about one hour to walk through the entire Zoo, but visitors are encouraged to spend as much time as they like!

Starting June 9, ZooAmerica will offer daily summer activities, such as special animal enrichment and training sessions for guests to watch, weather permitting. The full schedule will be posted online. 

Insider Tip: ZooAmerica offers behind-the-scenes tours throughout the summer. These tours guide participants through non-public spaces, allowing them to get close to North American animals.

This summer, the Hersheypark culinary team debuts sweet and savory items throughout the Park and Hershey’s Chocolatetown region.  Here's a taste:

• New Twizzlers-inspired offerings inside Hersheypark include a Twisted Gravity Hot Dog with Strawberry Rosemary Jam from Berks stand, a Strawberry French Toast Burger from East Coast Burger Works location and a King Size Shake and sundae from Simply Chocolate dessert shop.
• All-new this summer, Milton's Ice Cream Parlor offers a reimagined menu featuring house-made donuts topped with fresh fruit, Hershey's candies and more.

Insider Tip: When available, guests can utilize the mobile ordering system at select locations around the Park by using the Hersheypark app or scanning the QR code at participating locations. Season Pass Holders can use their Season Pass discount when placing a mobile order.

The Chocolatier Restaurant, Bar + Patio

If you're looking for a full-service option, The Chocolatier Restaurant, Bar + Patio is open daily in Hershey's Chocolatetown for guests with or without a Hersheypark ticket to enjoy lunch or dinner. The restaurant features family fare with a fun spin and hints of chocolate, one-of-a-kind views and a second-story patio and bar open this summer, weather permitting. 

New seasonal favorites include Loaded Pierogis, Caramel Brownie Cheesecake and a new spin on the fan-favorite Ferris Wheel Sampler.

The Villas at The Hotel Hershey offer guests an elevated luxury accommodation experience with exclusive amenities. Hershey Lodge

Hersheypark Camping Resort

Hersheypark Camping Resort is a year-round camping facility in Hershey, Pa., that has welcomed guests since 1963 with its 55 acres of emerald hills. The campground offers more than 300 open and shaded sites, including 50 cabins and two tiny homes with heat, air conditioning and additional amenities; full hook-up RV sites with electric, water, sewer and cable; partial sites with electric, water, and cable; and no hook-up tent sites.

For your planning, Hersheypark, The Chocolatier and ZooAmerica are cashless. These locations accept all major credit cards, Hersheypark gift cards, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and Google Pay. 

Admission Tickets

Great ticket offers are available on Hersheypark.com. If you consider visiting Hersheypark twice in 2025, a two-day ticket is the best value. Plus, it does not need to be used on consecutive days, so you can visit once during summer and again at any other point throughout the operating year. 

Insider Tip: All guests can use the free Preview Plan included with every ticket. You can present your ticket at the main entrance before your full-day visit (if the Park is open the preceding day) to enjoy two free extra hours of fun. For a 2-day ticket, Preview Plan must be experienced prior to a guest's first full-day visit. Guests at The Official Resorts of Hersheypark can enjoy three hours of riding the night before their full day. The Hersheypark calendar lists the Preview Plan start time by date.

The 2025 Hersheypark Season Pass program features multiple tiers with unlimited visits and sweet perks to fit every family’s lifestyle - all for less than the cost of three visits.

All 2025 Season Passes include unlimited visits throughout the 2025 operating year, including Summer, Hersheypark Halloween and Dark Nights, and Hersheypark Christmas Candylane. Depending on the Pass type, Season Pass Holders can also enjoy free parking, a free Pre-K Pass, other sweet perks, exclusive Season Pass Holder events and great discounts around town.

Parking

Guests with 1-day or 2-day tickets are encouraged to purchase a daily parking voucher online in advance of a visit to save. General parking is $26 plus taxes and fees online, compared to $35 in person at the parking booth.

Fast Track

Guests can get to the thrills faster this summer with Fast Track and Fast Track Unlimited. 

• Regular Fast Track allows you to skip the regular line on participating attractions once per day during your visit. 
• Unlimited Fast Track allows you to skip the regular line on participating attractions all day long.
• All-Year Fast Track Unlimited is also available as a Season Pass add-on.

The following attractions are available with Fast Track this summer: Twizzlers Twisted Gravity, Breakers Edge Water Coaster, Candymonium, Carrousel, Comet, Fahrenheit, Great Bear, Hershey Triple Tower, Jolly Rancher Remix, Intercoastal Waterway, Laff Trakk, Lightning Racer, Reese’s Cupfusion, Skyrush, sooperdooperLooper, Storm Runner, Trailblazer, Whitecap Racer, Wild Mouse and Wildcat’s Revenge. Please note height restrictions for Fast Track-eligible attractions, as they are primarily high-thrill rides. Attraction availability is subject to change.

Insider Tip: Fast Track pricing and options vary by day. New this year, guests are encouraged to buy early and save by purchasing three days or more before their visit for the most savings. Hersheypark admission is not included with Fast Track and is sold separately.

50 Years of Kissing Tower

An iconic landmark and the tallest point in The Sweetest Place On Earth, Kissing Tower opened 50 years ago in the former “Minetown” region of Hersheypark with an official dedication ceremony on May 18, 1975. In 2014, the region was renamed to Kissing Tower Hill after the popular attraction.

Guests of all height categories from Hershey's Miniatures to Jolly Rancher board an enclosed circular gondola and sit on benches as they ascend high above Hersheypark while learning about the history of the town rooted in chocolate. The gentle cabin ride offers panoramic views of the 121-acre amusement park and downtown Hershey, Pa., from up to 250 feet in the air through Hershey's Kisses-shaped windows. 

Kissing Tower is open for all four seasons at Hersheypark, weather permitting. During Hersheypark Christmas Candylane, the family-friendly attraction provides a sweet aerial view of the more than 5 million lights decking the amusement park. Plus, a lighted Christmas tree is placed atop the Kissing Tower to add to the merry and bright ambiance. Throughout the holiday season, guests can also see a Kissing Tower light display at Hershey Sweet Lights drive-through holiday light attraction. 

Fun fact: there is a replica Kissing Tower in the center of Hersheypark Supply Co., a 10,000-square-foot flagship store located in the Hershey's Chocolatetown region.

50 Years of Turnpike

Beep, beep! Twin Turnpike presented by Sunoco turns 50 this year! The mid-thrill ride opened to the public on May 18, 1975, according to the Times Tribune. 

Guests of all Hershey’s height categories can choose from two tracks - Classic Cars with antique autos or Speedway with sports cars. Both tracks are open for all four seasons, weather permitting, in the Kissing Tower Hill region of Hersheypark. The ride envelope is specially decorated for Hersheypark Halloween and Hersheypark Christmas Candylane.

25 Years of Lightning Racer

This year marks a quarter of a century since the race between thunder and lightning began in Hershey, Pa. On May, 13, 2000, Lightning Racer opened in the Midway America region at Hersheypark as the first racing, dueling wooden coaster in the United States.

The double-track coaster built by Great Coasters International (GCI) features two staggered lifts along 3,400 feet of track on each side. This unique ride element creates a thrilling level of competition for riders of Hershey's height category (48-54") and above.

Throughout the 1-minute, 20-second ride, Lightning Racer reaches a height of 90 feet and a maximum speed of 50 mph. Although you see lightning before you hear thunder, the winner of Lightning Racer is primarily based on the weight of each Millenium Flyer train.

Lightning Racer is open during spring weekends, summer and Hersheypark Halloween and Dark Nights. In celebration of its 25th anniversary, Lightning Racer was profiled in a behind-the-scenes off-season maintenance feature story. 

10 Years of Laff Trakk

Laff Trakk opened on May 23, 2015, as the first indoor, spinning, glow-coaster in the United States. The family-friendly house of laughs spins riders of Reese’s height category (42-48”) and above through an exciting adventure of sights and sounds during the 1-minute, 10-second ride. 

Those brave enough to conquer the fun house of the 21st century will catch a glimpse of colorful characters, a dizzying hall of mirrors and more. Laff Trakk reaches a maximum height of 51 feet and a maximum speed of 40 mph. 

Given its indoor location, Laff Trakk is open for all four seasons at Hersheypark. During Hersheypark Halloween and Dark Nights, the lights are turned off inside Laff Trakk for a completely unique and thrilling experience. For the holidays, riders will find the indoor coaster decorated with a large Christmas tree in the center.

5 Years of Candymonium

It’s hard to believe that 2025 marks five years since Hersheypark unlocked an all-new chapter Where Fun Meets Chocolate with the opening of its $150 million Hershey’s Chocolatetown region. The 23-acre development celebrates the life and legacy of Milton S. Hershey by bringing people together for happiness, fun and, of course, chocolate. 

Over the last five years, guests entering Hersheypark have been welcomed by the sound of Hersheypark Happy screams from riders on Candymonium, a hyper coaster that opened on July 3, 2020, as the tallest, fastest, longest and sweetest coaster at the amusement park. The one-of-a-kind Bolliger & Mabillard attraction features a 4,636-foot milk chocolate track spanning seven acres in Hershey's Chocolatetown. 

Riders of Twizzlers height category (54-60”) and above embark on a heart-pounding, 210-foot ascent up the tallest hill in Hersheypark, then dip into thrilling drops reaching a max speed of 76 mph. Seven camelback hills and a 123-degree hammerhead curve serve up the ultimate feeling of freedom with a ton of airtime. The finishing touch is an impressive panoramic banked curve that wraps around the iconic Kisses Fountain. The World’s Sweetest Coaster merges fun and iconic Hershey brands to provide a thrilling roller coaster experience only found in The Sweetest Place On Earth.

Hersheypark is No. 8 Best Theme Park

Hersheypark received the No. 8 spot in the category for Best Theme Park after competing amongst 20 other theme parks nominated out of more than 400 amusement parks and attractions on the continent.

Centrally located within driving distance of five of the largest metropolitan areas in the Northeast, Hersheypark is open for Spring Weekends on Fridays through Sundays through May 18. Daily operations begin May 22, with The Boardwalk At Hersheypark water park opening on May 24. Hours vary by day. 

The amusement park of every chocolate lover's dreams features 121 acres with more than 70 rides, a water park with 16 water attractions and an 11-acre North American Wildlife Park – all accessible via a single admission. The Hotel Hershey is No. 2 Best Theme Park Hotel

The Hotel Hershey, one of The Official Resorts of Hersheypark, claimed the second spot in the Best Theme Park Hotel category. A member of Historic Hotels of America, the AAA Four-Diamond Hotel is a one-of-a-kind destination with a rich history. The Chocolatier Restaurant, Bar + Patio was voted as a top 5 Best Theme Park Restaurant for the second consecutive year. Since 2021, The Chocolatier has celebrated the life and legacy of Milton S. Hershey by continuing to bring people together for happiness, fun, and, of course, chocolate.

Inside, an open kitchen serves up classic family fare with a fun spin and hints of chocolate for lunch and dinner. An all-new seasonal menu this spring and summer includes a fresh spin on the popular Ferris Wheel Sampler, Cheesesteak Flatbread, Loaded Pierogis, new milkshakes and more. Guests ages 21 and older can also enjoy new craft cocktails like Blueberry Cobbler Old Fashioned and Dirty Root Beer Float behind a Carrousel-themed bar, but the ride doesn't end there! The space features past and present pieces from the Hersheypark ride collection, including Comet car and Tilt-A-Whirl booths. Plus, a second-story outdoor patio and bar provide one-of-a-kind views of Hersheypark. 

The Chocolatier is open year-round and does not require an admission ticket to Hersheypark to dine. Reservations are strongly encouraged.

Wildcat's Revenge is No. 9 Best Roller Coaster

Wildcat is back and seeking vengeance. Wildcat's Revenge claimed a top 10 spot in the Best Roller Coaster contest amongst 20 other coasters in the United States. Opened in 2023 as the first hybrid manufactured by Rocky Mountain Construction (RMC) in Pennsylvania, Wildcat's Revenge combines the best of wood and steel by adding a new steel track with unique elements to the wooden framework for a one-of-a-kind thrilling ride experience found only at Hersheypark. 

The 2-minute and 36-second experience begins as riders of Hershey's height category (48-54") and above climb a 140-foot hill on one of three custom trains, plunge into an 82-degree drop and hit a maximum speed of 62 miles per hour along 3,510 feet of red track on a black steel and wood structure. The pursuit continues as riders stalk their prey through four inversions, including the World’s Largest Underflip, which begins with an upward climb, followed by a counterclockwise 270° roll and a dive down towards the side. 

Wildcat's Revenge received the Amusement Today Golden Ticket Award for Best New Roller Coaster of 2023. The 15th coaster at Hersheypark was also named one of the top new attractions of 2023 by USA TODAY 10Best. 

The Shore is No. 3 Best Wave Pool

The Shore at The Boardwalk is the place to be on a hot summer day! Ranked as one of the top 3 Best Wave Pools, the relaxing, 378,000-gallon attraction gradually deepens from 0 to 6 feet. There's nothing quite like catching waves while being surrounded by iconic roller coasters in Central Pennsylvania.

Breakers Edge is No. 5 Best Water Coaster

In its first USA TODAY 10Best nomination, Breakers Edge was named a top 5 Best Water Coaster in 2025. Located in The Boardwalk, Breakers Edge is a fast-paced, hydromagnetic water coaster that launches four-person rafts through a series of exhilarating drops, high-speed tunnels and uphill climbs. Riders of Reese's height category (42-48") and above experience airtime, g-force curves, tunnels, saucers and lots of splashes.

If you consider visiting Hersheypark twice in 2025, a 2-day ticket is the best value. Plus, it does not need to be used on consecutive days, so you can visit once during spring and again at any other point throughout the operating year.
