The Hershey Symphony Orchestra will present “Unwrap the Music” at Hershey Theatre on Sept. 12. Under the direction of Maestro Greg Woodbridge, this free community concert will introduce young listeners to the symphony orchestra's many unique sounds. Through the live performance, children and their families will discover how instruments work together to create the rich and powerful sound of a symphony orchestra.

The 2026 Hersheypark Stadium Summer Concert Series wraps up with a performance from heavy metal rockers Iron Maiden. In celebration of their 50th anniversary, the band will perform at stadiums and amphitheaters across the U.S. and Canada. The tour allows fans the chance to witness the brand new, state-of-the-art production on the scale it is intended for – huge stages in outdoor venues – to accompany the once-in-a-lifetime setlist of songs from the band’s groundbreaking first nine albums.

Kathleen Madigan at Hershey Theatre

Saturday, Sept. 19, at 7 p.m.

Comedian Kathleen Madigan's all-new 2026 tour, “Flying Cats & Marching Armadillos,” includes a show at Hershey Theatre this month. Madigan, a St. Louis native, shows no signs of slowing down as one of the few female comedians to tour more than 250 days each year. The comedian has released specials on Netflix, Comedy Central, HBO Max and Amazon Prime Video, and has appeared on Jerry Seinfeld’s popular Netflix series “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.”

Washington Capitals vs. Philadelphia Flyers at GIANT Center

Monday, Sept. 21, at 7 p.m.

NHL preseason action is returning to Hershey. For the second straight season, the Washington Capitals will take the ice in Chocolatetown to battle the Philadelphia Flyers. This is the fifth time the GIANT Center has hosted an NHL preseason game. Last year was the first NHL preseason game in Hershey since 2006, and the Capitals prevailed 5-1 over the Flyers before 10,420 people on Sept. 25, 2025. Washington’s lineup featured two sets of brothers, something the NHL hasn’t seen in the regular season since 2002, as Dylan and Matt Strome and Aliaksei and Ilya Protas skated for the Capitals.

Magician and comedian Justin Willman will visit 17 cities throughout 2026 as part of his all-new tour, “One for the Ages.” Fresh off the release of his magic comedy special “Magic Lover” on Netflix, Willman is excited to embark on his biggest tour to date in 2026, featuring brand-new material and more. 3. Visit ZooAmerica

ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park is open every day in August for guests to explore a variety of habitats housing North American animals, including a river otter, Canada lynx, gray wolves and a black bear. The 11-acre zoo offers daily summer activities, such as special animal enrichment and training sessions for guests to watch.

Hersheypark tickets include entry to ZooAmerica only by accessing the Zoo through the bridge inside Hersheypark during posted Park hours. Those interested in visiting ZooAmerica in the morning before Hersheypark opens must purchase separate Zoo admission tickets online or at the Zoo Admissions Building.

4. Jazz On The Veranda at The Hotel Hershey

Aug. 7, 8 & 14; 7 to 10 p.m.

Unwind on the veranda at The Hotel Hershey with live music, sweet views, cocktails and light shareables available for walk-up service. Seating is first-come, first-served. The Veranda offers the sweetest viewing area for the fireworks presented by HERSHEY's on Aug. 8!

“Whose Live Anyway?” is 90 minutes of hilarious improvised comedy and song, all based on audience suggestions. Cast members Ryan Stiles, Greg Proops, Jeff B. Davis and Joel Murray will leave you gasping with the very witty scenes they invent before your eyes. GOLDEN GIRLS: THE LAUGHS CONTINUE AT HERSHEY THEATRE

Nov. 24 at 7 p.m.

Following sold-out performances and rave reviews across the country, “Golden Girls: The Laughs Continue” stage show returns to venues around the U.S. this fall. The show brings the sassiest seniors to stages for one more hurrah. The hilarious live show allows audiences to relive the heartfelt hilarity of the four ladies who never stopped being best friends. Tim McGraw at Hersheypark Stadium

Three-time GRAMMY Award-winning superstar Tim McGraw will perform in Hershey, Pa., with special guests The Chicks and Lady A, with 49 Winchester and Timothy Wayne. The show at Hersheypark Stadium is just one of three exclusive stadium shows this summer. McGraw’s upcoming tour follows his intimate, sold-out limited engagement at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace last December and his massive 2024 “Standing Room Only Tour.” With a career spanning more than three decades, the touring titan promises even more high-energy shows featuring his chart-topping hits and fan favorites.

Alison Krauss & Union Station, featuring Jerry Douglas, will bring their 2026 “Arcadia” tour to Hershey, Pa., this month. Known for an immaculately crafted but endlessly surprising sound, Alison Krauss & Union Station have upheld their legacy as one of the most influential and widely celebrated acts in bluegrass and roots music. The group released their highly anticipated new album, “Arcadia,” in 2025. Thomas Rhett & Niall Horan at Hersheypark Stadium

Multi-platinum global superstars Thomas Rhett and Niall Horan announced only two nights of stadium shows in 2026, including one at Hersheypark Stadium on Saturday, July 18! Produced by Live Nation, the run marks the first time that the pair will perform stadium headlining shows together. Rising stars Kashus Culpepper and Emily Ann Roberts will also join the concert in Hershey, Pa. 

“Niall and I have been buddies for nearly a decade now, but one thing we’ve not done yet is officially tour together," said Thomas Rhett. "There’s nothing I love more than being on the road alongside longtime friends—it’s going to be a blast for us and the fans.”

“When TR brought up the idea of doing these, I immediately got so excited just thinking about it,” Horan says. “We’ve been friends for ages and it just makes perfect sense.” The announcement follows Rhett and Horan’s recent collaboration “twangy, revamped” (Billboard) version of Thomas Rhett’s fan-favorite track, “Old Tricks.”

Five Finger Death Punch at Hersheypark Stadium

Produced by Live Nation, Five Finger Death Punch's 48-city tour run includes a show at Hersheypark Stadium this July. Platinum-certified outlaw country musician Cody Jinks and rock group Eva Under Fire will join as special guests.

The 2026 tour will showcase new material from Five Finger Death Punch’s upcoming tenth studio album alongside the anthems that defined a generation of fans. The band’s current albums, “Best Of – Volume 1” and “Best Of – Volume 2,” feature newly re-recorded versions of their biggest hits, including the No. 1 single “I Refuse” and the No. 1 single “The End.” Both albums were created in response to the sale of the band’s original masters, a decision made without their knowledge or opportunity to reclaim them.

Multiplatinum singer-songwriter, pianist and composer Tori Amos will visit Hershey, Pa., as part of an extensive 35-date summer tour across the U.S. The tour will accompany the release of Amos’ 18th studio album, “In Times of Dragons,” which released on May 1. The live shows will see Amos joined once again by longtime collaborators Jon Evans (MD and bass) and Ash Soan (drums), plus the addition of three backing singers to perform songs from “In Times of Dragons.” The performances will also feature highlights from across Amos’ illustrious 35-year career, which has earned her eight GRAMMY nominations and over 12 million global album sales.

“Weird Al” Yankovic at GIANT Center

Friday, July 31, at 8 p.m.

Following the incredible success of his 2025 tour, the legendary “Weird Al” Yankovic will return to the road in 2026 with the next chapter of his record-breaking “Bigger & Weirder Tour." During his 2025 run of dates, Yankovic delighted more than 500,000 fans, playing a historic string of 75 shows across 67 cities and selling out iconic venues, such as Madison Square Garden, The Kia Forum and Red Rocks Amphitheatre. 

The 2026 “Bigger & Weirder Tour” will visit 90 cities across North America and feature Yankovic’s celebrated hits alongside deep-cut fan favorites, multiple costume changes, an eight-piece ensemble featuring his original band and special guest Puddles Pity Party.

For 120 years, Hersheypark has been known as a clean and green destination for family fun. The 121-acre amusement park is open daily through Sept. 7 (Labor Day) for coaster rides, King Size Shakes, Hershey Character selfies and water park splashes.

Fun For All Ages: The extensive lineup of more than 70 rides offers something for everyone. Guests can explore rides on the Hersheypark app or website by Hershey’s candy height categories. Hersheypark has more than 20 kiddie rides, plus family favorites like the Carrousel with all 66 original horses and the Kissing Tower for an aerial view of the Park. Families Can Ride Together: Hersheypark features a unique layout with 121 acres of outdoor attractions surrounded by shady trees, ample green spaces and fresh Pennsylvania air. Unlike other parks, Hersheypark was specifically designed with thrill rides in the same area as kiddie rides, so families don’t have to split up throughout the Park. One exception is Carrousel Circle, with many rides for the youngest guests. 

Kiddie Swap: Ideal for families, Hersheypark offers a Kiddie Swap program where one parent may ride while the other stays with the child and then, at the conclusion of the initial ride, the parents may "swap" places. Similarly, if one parent has two children who meet the height restriction but must be accompanied by a responsible rider, or who do not wish to ride alone, the parent may ride with one child while the other child waits in an appropriate ride area. At the conclusion of the initial ride, the parent may remain on the ride while the children "swap" places. 

Character Photo Opportunities: In addition to the rides, a beloved family tradition is taking a photo of children next to the Hershey Character-themed height categories in Hershey’s Chocolatetown as they grow each year. And, of course, Hersheypark is the only amusement park in the world where guests can snap a selfie with a Hershey Character. In celebration of the nation's semiquincentennial, Hersh, Miss Kiss and Reese are dressed in their patriotic attire this summer!

Sweet Treats: It wouldn’t be a trip to Hershey without treats kids love, from award-winning King Size Shakes (celebrating 10 years) to funnel cakes with Hershey's candies. For the ultimate sweetness, guests should visit Milton’s Ice Cream Parlor in Hershey’s Chocolatetown. Cool Off At The Water Park

After working up a sweat riding coasters this summer, park-goers can cool off at The Boardwalk at Hersheypark, an 11-acre water park located inside Hersheypark that is included with admission from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

The Boardwalk has one million gallons of water among 16 water attractions, including two new water play areas, water slides, a water coaster, a lazy river and more. 

New for Summer 2026: Hersheypark recently debuted an enhancement to its water park, which is located within the amusement park and accessible via a single admission. The existing Bayside Pier kiddie wave pool with a zero-depth entry ramp and rolling waves now features two new water play areas boasting 45 aquatic elements for summer 2026. 

• A new shade-filled play zone, The Inlet at Bayside Pier, features water-spouting dolphins and fish, and whimsical water spray features.
• The Island at Bayside Pier debuts towering 10-foot-tall palm trees that tip buckets of refreshing water. 

Both new areas feature rubberized decking for additional guest comfort, allowing guests to sit and splash under shaded canopies. The new open design also allows families to seamlessly flow between other water attractions and cool off faster with access to the abundant water features. 

In addition to The Inlet and The Island at Bayside Pier, The Boardwalk has other kid-friendly water attractions. Shoreline Sprayground is an all-ages water fun playground with misters, bubblers, dancing fountains, spraying jets, water curtains and a drenching tipping bucket. The Boardwalk is also home to East Coast Waterworks, an attraction that boasts more than 600 interactive water features. The biggest splash comes from a 1,000-gallon tipping bucket for those looking to get drenched on a hot summer day.

See Dozens of North American Animals At The Zoo

ZooAmerica is an 11-acre walk-through zoo that cares for animals representing more than 60 species from five regions of North America. Guests can see gray wolves, a black bear, Canada lynx, a river otter, elk and other animals native to this continent.

Families with young animal lovers should consider elevating their zoo experience with a behind-the-scenes tour. ZooAmerica offers two special tours that guide participants through non-public areas, get them close to the animals and leave them with a deeper understanding of the animal world. Premium feeding experiences are also available, which includes admission to ZooAmerica.

ZooAmerica is included with a Hersheypark ticket only when accessing the Zoo through the Hersheypark bridge during posted Park hours. Regular admission to ZooAmerica is $16.50 plus taxes and fees. Juniors ages 3-8 and seniors ages 62+ are $14.50 plus taxes and fees. Children 2 and under are free.

Create Your Own Candy Bar

Conveniently located just across the plaza from Hersheypark, Hershey's Chocolate World is the official visitors center of The Hershey Company with many fun activities for families. 

Guests can learn how tropical cocoa beans become Hershey’s Chocolate on a free chocolate factory tour ride and participate in various paid experiences, including Create Your Own Candy Bar, Hershey’s Unwrapped: A Chocolate Tasting Journey, Reese’s Stuff Your Cup and Hershey Trolley Works. Plus, sip milkshakes and embrace the feeling of being a kid in a candy store as you browse their selection of Hershey’s exclusive chocolates and retail.

Pay a Visit to the Museum

The Hershey Story in downtown Hershey provides an interactive museum experience for children and adults alike, making it an excellent stop for the whole family. Guests can learn all about the life and legacy of our founder Milton S. Hershey, the town he created, and the lives he touched. Additional paid experiences are also available, including the Chocolate Lab, where guests can try their hand at chocolate pouring and decorating.

See Hundreds of Butterflies From Around The World

Hershey Gardens is a 23-acre walk-through botanical display garden that offers 11 themed gardens, including thousands of roses in the summer and a Children’s Garden with interactive play areas, a performance space and a place for students to learn how to grow food. During a visit, guests can check out the Milton & Catherine Hershey Conservatory, which includes a year-round indoor tropical Butterfly Atrium featuring hundreds of colorful butterflies from around the world. Hersheypark All-American Summer Celebration

Friday, July 3, through Sunday, July 5, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The centerpiece of the holiday celebration is Hersheypark, which commemorates its 120th operating year alongside the nation's semiquincentennial. Tickets include three parks in one with more than 70 rides, a water park and a zoo (open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.).

Visitors to the largest amusement park in Pennsylvania can experience a patriotic transformation across the 121 acres for America's 250th anniversary, featuring decor, Americana-themed ride overlays on attractions like Laff Trakk and Twin Turnpike, and red, white, and blue light packages on coasters. The in-Park entertainment lineup includes Sweet Greets with Hershey Characters dressed in festive patriotic attire and Sweet Land of Liberty: A Celebration of the American Songbook in the air-conditioned Music Box Theatre.

The celebration extends to exclusive culinary offerings available only this summer. Highlights include the Star-Spangled King Size Shake at Simply Chocolate, patriotic-themed donuts at Milton’s Ice Cream Parlor and the Stars & Stripes Martini Flight at The Chocolatier Restaurant, Bar + Patio.

Fireworks Presented by HERSHEY’S

The highlight of the holiday weekend is the Fireworks presented by HERSHEY’S. Epic displays will light up the iconic Hershey skyline at 10:15 p.m. on both Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4.

Hersheypark offers Fireworks From The Shore, a special add-on to elevate the fireworks viewing experience. Parkgoers can upgrade their July 4th holiday experience at Hersheypark with a star-spangled, all-you-care-to-eat picnic buffet. This festive spread features classic holiday favorites, such as hamburgers and hot dogs with rolls, baked fried chicken, and savory sides like brown-sugar baked beans, macaroni and cheese, and house-made chips. Make Yankee Doodle Chocolate Bars at The Hershey Story

The Hershey Story, The Museum on Chocolate Avenue, is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with special Yankee Doodle Chocolate Bar-themed Chocolate Lab classes over the Fourth of July weekend. During this 45-minute class, guests can try their hand at chocolate pouring and decorating as they mold a milk chocolate bar and top it off with red, white and blue candy sprinkles to create their own edible American flag. Guests will discover where and how cocoa beans are grown and processed into their favorite chocolate confections. 

Chocolate Lab tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis and may be purchased at The Hershey Story admissions desk upon arrival. Children must be at least five years old to enter the Lab.

Led by Jason Bonham, the late son of Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham, “JBLZE” continues to pack venues from coast to coast. The evening is a spectacle of top-flight musicianship, arresting visuals, mind-blowing lighting and emotionally charged storytelling. As we approach the nation's 250th anniversary, America250PA invites you to the Commonwealth Concert Series: a five-city, statewide celebration centered on Pennsylvania, the foundation of the American story. These FREE concerts are designed to honor the unique communities and diverse narratives that define the state by providing accessible cultural experiences for all residents. From the birthplace of democracy to the modern cultural hubs of today, each tour stop celebrates the distinct character of it's specific region while simultaneously uniting communities through a shared musical experience and historical reflection. Taking place every Saturday from Memorial Day weekend through the end of June 2026, these signature events bring high-caliber, world-class artists to every corner of the state. Audiences will join Gates for an evening of adventure as he takes viewers around the world and off the map, sharing stories from his most extraordinary expeditions and offering insights into the world’s greatest mysteries. From hilarious misadventures to thrilling moments of discovery, Gates keeps audiences on the edge of their seats. He is best known for starring in the Discovery Channel’s “Expedition Unknown.”

Indigo Girls at Hershey Theatre

June 14 at 7 p.m.

GRAMMY Award-winning trailblazers Indigo Girls will visit Hershey, Pa. for a can't-miss performance this month. After four decades, 16 studio albums and more than 15 million records sold, Indigo Girls continue to pave the way for generations of Queer artists in the mainstream. The duo began their career in clubs and bars around their native Atlanta, Ga., amidst a blossoming alternative music scene before signing to Epic Records in 1988. Their self-titled album sold over two million copies under the power of singles “Closer to Fine” and “Kid Fears.” The record was the first of six consecutive Gold and/or Platinum-certified albums.

GRAMMY-nominated artist Forrest Frank will bring his “The Jesus Generation Tour” to Hersheypark Stadium on June 15 with special guests Tori Kelly, Cory Asbury and The Figs. Presented by TPR and hitting 29 cities across the U.S., “The Jesus Generation Tour” follows Frank’s completely sold-out “Child of God Tour Part 2.” Fans will be greeted by the Figs as they arrive, Asbury will lead in worship and Kelly will open the night by guiding the crowd into Frank’s headlining set. Frank capped 2024 as a first-time GRAMMY nominee with his RIAA Gold-certified album “CHILD OF GOD,” the year’s best-selling Christian album. His hit “YOUR WAY’S BETTER” went viral, earned RIAA Gold status, broke into the Billboard Hot 100 and became Billboard’s No. 2 Hot Christian Song of 2025. Daniel Tosh at Hershey Theatre

Comedian, host, writer and producer Daniel Tosh is coming to Hershey, Pa., as part of his 2026 “My First Farewell Tour.” Tosh is best known for hosting and creating TOSH.0, which aired on Comedy Central from 2009 to 2020. The show was one of the longest-running comedy series for the network. He can currently be seen hosting his latest project, “TOSH SHOW,” a video podcast for iHeart Media. 

Mumford & Sons at Hersheypark Stadium

June 20 at 6:30 p.m.

Mumford & Sons will visit major venues across the U.S. this summer as part of their “Prizefighter” tour including a show at Hersheypark Stadium on June 20 with special guests Lord Huron and Dylan Gossett. Long celebrated for their electric live performances, touring has defined Mumford & Sons from the beginning, in shaping their sound, building their fanbase and fostering their collaborative spirit. The 2026 “Prizefighter” tour will celebrate the group’s latest record, co-produced and co-written with The National’s Aaron Dessner. “Prizefighter” features collaborations with Hozier, Gracie Abrams, Chris Stapleton and Gigi Perez. 

Chicago at Hershey Theatre

Multi GRAMMY Award-winning band Chicago returns to Hershey Theatre with a performance this June. Hailed as one of the “most important bands in music since the dawn of the rock and roll era,” the legendary band came in as the highest-charting American band in Billboard magazine’s Top 125 Artists of All Time. Chicago is the first American rock band to chart Top 40 albums in six consecutive decades. The group continues to be true ambassadors for their beloved hometown, carrying the city’s name with pride and dignity around the world. 2025 marked their 58th consecutive year of touring. 

Chris Stapleton at Hersheypark Stadium

Eleven-time GRAMMY Award-winning musician Chris Stapleton's “All-American Road Show” will run through this fall with more than 20 newly added stops, including a visit back to Hersheypark Stadium on Wednesday, June 24, with special guest Grace Potter. Stapleton recently celebrated the 10-year anniversary of his groundbreaking debut album, “Traveller,” last year. Beloved by critics, fans and fellow artists, “Traveller” won Best Country Album at the 58th GRAMMY Awards and went on to become the best-selling country album of the 2010s. Following a historic turn on the 2015 CMA Awards—where Stapleton became the first artist to ever win Album of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and New Artist of the Year in the same year—“Traveller” became the first album in history to re-enter the Billboard 200 all-genre album chart at No. 1, where it stayed for two straight weeks.

U.S. Figure Skating returns from Milan with one of the most decorated American teams in Winter Olympic history. The 2026 Stifel Stars on Ice tour will bring the opportunity to celebrate their achievements to Hershey, Pa., on Saturday, May 2, at GIANT Center. The annual Hershey Theatre Apollo Awards (HTAA) ceremony is back! Join guests in celebrating local high school theatre students and programs. Modeled after The Tony Awards on Broadway, the HTAA program recognizes outstanding achievements, both onstage and behind the scenes, of local high school students in musical and play productions. The ceremony features performances by nominated students and casts, with over 300 students participating. In addition, the program awards approximately $15,000 in scholarships and monetary rewards annually to students.

Khalid at GIANT Center

Multi-platinum global superstar Khalid will return to stages across the U.S. with the “It’s Always Summer Somewhere Tour,”  including a show at GIANT Center with special guest Lauv. The 25-date tour celebrates Khalid’s evolution since emerging as one of music’s most relatable young voices. Since breaking through with his 2017 debut album “American Teen” featuring the global hits “Location” and “Young Dumb & Broke,” Khalid has become one of contemporary music’s most authentic artists. Jason Mraz at Hershey Theatre 

Modeled after his sold-out U.K. and European dates last fall, the U.S. leg of multi-platinum recording artist Jason Mraz’s “Still Yours” tour brings him back to his coffee shop beginnings. The intimate solo acoustic show promises a set list retrospective of his more than 20-year career, featuring his biggest hits and deep cuts.

5 Seconds of Summer at GIANT Center

Multi-platinum Australian alt-rock band 5 Seconds of Summer is headed out on the “EVERYONE’S A STAR!” World Tour, including a performance at GIANT Center, with special guests The Band Camino. The band recently released their sixth studio album, “EVERYONE’S A STAR,” last fall.

Fun Facts

1. Romeo's costumes worn in the show were partially inspired by outfits that singer Harry Styles wore to the Met Gala.
2. All of the ensemble characters in “& JULIET” have names, which isn't always true when it comes to musicals. Their names are inspired by performers in Shakespeare's real-life acting company, members of his family, or characters from his plays.
3. As book writer, David West Read, wrote the story and script for “& JULIET,” he tried using iambic pentameter (a rhythmic pattern found in many works by Shakespeare) in a number of different ways. However, he worried that it might distract the audience, so he chose to use it only to punctuate certain key moments.
4. When Juliet sings “Roar,” her balcony floats off the ground in a shower of confetti, which is both a reference to the famous balcony scene in Romeo and Juliet and to pop stars flying over the crowd during their concerts. Director Luke Sheppard uses this moment to show that Shakespeare’s plays and Max Martin’s songs aren’t always so different.

Crowned by Vulture as “stand-up comedy’s most prolific storyteller,” Ali Siddiq has built a dedicated fanbase clamoring to attend his live shows and watch his masterful specials. The comedian's brand-new national tour will span 26 markets in theaters across the country. Siddiq was recently nominated for a 2026 NAACP Image Award for his stand-up special “Ali Siddiq: My Two Sons,” which is the only independently produced and released YouTube special to ever receive a major award nomination.

Jon Anderson & The Band Geeks | 8 P.M. 

Jon Anderson and The Band Geeks are set to return to Hershey Theatre following a successful summer 2025 tour. The run will visit 10 venues, with a set list featuring well-known YES classics, along with deep cuts and songs from their album “TRUE.”

John Legend | 8 P.M. 

Award-winning superstar John Legend joins us for an unforgettable evening, featuring songs and stories spanning his more than 20-year career. Anne Wilson | 7 P.M. 

At just 23 years old, singer-songwriter Anne Wilson has already emerged as one of the most distinctive new voices in both Christian and country music, having already accumulated more than 2 billion streams. Homeschool Day at ZooAmerica

Thursday, April 2; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park is open daily in April (including Easter Sunday) from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. On April 2, the Zoo will host a dedicated Homeschool Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., designed to provide an interactive educational experience for homeschooling students and their families. The theme for the day is "Animal Families," offering a curriculum-supplementing adventure focused on the different classes of the animal kingdom. 

The event will feature a variety of hands-on educational activities, engaging crafts and special animal enrichment to complement the lessons homeschooling students are currently learning. Numerous tables will be set up around the 11-acre zoo, each corresponding to reptiles, invertebrates, amphibians, mammals and birds. To help attendees navigate and make the most of the learning stations, complimentary educational booklets will be available for pickup at the Admissions Building. These booklets are designed for students to utilize at each station, providing additional information to support their learning journey.

The Fab Four at Hershey Theatre

Chocolate Lab Classes at The Hershey Story

Celebrate spring in the Chocolate Lab by making a sweet chocolate treat over Easter weekend! Located inside The Hershey Story Museum, the Chocolate Lab offers a hands-on experience where guests learn about the chocolate-making process and then make their own chocolate creation. Spring-themed classes include Butterfly Bark, Egg-citing Chocolate Bark, Marshmallow Bunny Tails and Spring Bar. Classes are 45 minutes long; children must be at least five years old to enter the lab.

Easter weekend marks the return to coaster riding at Hersheypark. The largest amusement park in Pennsylvania kicks off its 120th operating year on Friday, April 3, for the seven fun-filled Spring Weekends event. Hershey Theatre Spotlight Tours

Beginning this month, Hershey Theatre will once again offer 90-minute public “Spotlight Tours,” a guided walking tour that takes guests behind the scenes, from “basement to balcony,” of the historic masterpiece. Spotlight Tours are held most Sundays and Mondays at 1 p.m., depending on the Theatre’s schedule. Tickets can be purchased online or in person at The Hershey Story Museum. 

In 2027, Hershey Theatre is planning to relocate the organ to the Cathedral Parish of Saint Patrick in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where it will begin a new chapter rooted in daily use, preservation and public access. “This transition represents a renewal of purpose – ensuring that this beautiful instrument is once again heard regularly and fully brought back to life,” said Don Papson, executive director of The M.S. Hershey Foundation, which has operated Hershey Theatre since 1970. “The organ, in its new home, will be played more than 300 times a year.” The decision to relocate the organ reflects the changing nature of theatrical performance. “Large, complex concert organs—once central to theatrical life, especially during the vaudeville era—are no longer regularly played in modern performance spaces,” said Papson. “At Saint Patrick’s, the organ will be played several times each week, supporting liturgy, concerts, education and community gatherings. It will be actively maintained and musically relevant.” 

The organ’s new home is deeply connected to the Hershey family’s legacy. Catherine Hershey—wife of Milton Hershey—was a parishioner at Saint Patrick and a significant benefactor during the Cathedral’s construction in the early 20th century. Mr. and Mrs. Hershey contributed substantial funds toward its creation, and their generosity is permanently recognized as a “Founder” in the church narthex under the name “Mrs. M.S. Hershey.” Father Joshua Brommer, pastor of the Cathedral Parish of Saint Patrick, expressed profound gratitude and excitement at the organ’s arrival: “This organ is a blessing—not only to the Cathedral, but to the entire Harrisburg community. To receive an instrument of this magnitude, history and craftsmanship is truly humbling. We are very much looking forward to honoring its legacy by giving it a voice, week after week, in worship, in education and through our public concert series.” 

“The Cathedral is committed to securing the funding required for the upcoming organ project,” noted Father Brommer. “Our hope is to remove the pipes from Hershey Theatre in 2027, followed by the refurbishment of the organ console. Our goal is to complete the final installation of the organ inside the Cathedral in 2029.” “While we will certainly feel the loss of the organ at Hershey Theatre, this relocation is about stewardship, rather than removal,” Papson said. “The instrument is being restored  to active life in a space that aligns with both its musical power and the Hershey family’s philanthropic values.” “Milton Hershey believed deeply in cultural access, education and long-term community benefit. Allowing this magnificent organ to sing again—regularly, publicly, and reverently—is fully consistent with that legacy,” noted Papson. 

**While the final agreement for the organ’s transfer is expected in 2026, certain details of the transaction are still being finalized.**

ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park is hosting Toddler Tuesdays every Tuesday in March, where guests can enjoy quality time with their little ones at the 11-acre zoo in Hershey, Pa. The program features self-guided activities and a sweet souvenir to take home. Standard admission rates apply, but entry is free for ZooAmerica Pass Holders and 2026 Hersheypark Season Pass Holders. 4. Early Spring Nature Walk at Hershey Gardens

March 8 & 15; 2 p.m.

Enjoy an extended two-hour guided walking tour at Hershey Gardens featuring the Gardens history and landscape as it transitions from winter into spring with emerging flowers.This tour includes additional areas such as the Arboretum and other special highlights throughout the garden, including the unique contorted pine tree and a restoration American chestnut tree. The tour also includes the history behind the Four Seasons Statues. This event is included in general admission. 

5. Teddy Bear & Friends Day

March 14; 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

A Zoo fan favorite, kids 12 and under are invited to bring a stuffed animal to ZooAmerica for Teddy Bear & Friends Day on March 14! Guests can stop by the Teddy Bear Repair Clinic with their stuffed animal friend for a check-up and repair by a real veterinarian or Zoo naturalist. Kids can also participate in story time, a scavenger hunt and a bear artifact station. All activities are included in standard admission.

6. ZooAmerica Eggstravaganza

March 28 and 29; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

ZooAmerica is open daily in March from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but during visits on March 28 and 29, guests can participate in an egg hunt and receive fun prizes. Other egg-themed activities and crafts will also be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on both days.

History of Hershey Theatre

In 1915, world-famous chocolatier and philanthropist Milton S. Hershey had his architect, C. Emlen Urban, draw up plans for a new community building, including Hershey Theatre. Groundbreaking was originally scheduled for early 1916, but the arrival of World War I delayed the start of the project. Post-war financial challenges forced Mr. Hershey to delay community projects. As a result, the architect’s plans were put away and virtually forgotten. 

As the Depression overwhelmed the country’s economy in the early 1930s, Mr. Hershey responded to the economic crisis by initiating a local building program known as the Great Building Campaign. The campaign employed more than 600 workers— who would have otherwise been unemployed—and saw the construction of Hershey Theatre and other major Hershey landmarks, including The Hotel Hershey, Hersheypark Arena and Hersheypark Stadium. 

Although Hershey Theatre was built around the same time as Radio City Music Hall, the Theatre was constructed from Urban’s 1915 plans, giving the venue its opulence that resembles those of early 20th-century theaters. Hershey dedicated the Community Building and Hershey Theatre during the 13th anniversary celebration of the town on Sept. 1-4, 1933. The Theatre officially opened its doors on Sept. 2, 1933. 

Today, Hershey Theatre remains a must-visit destination for Central Pennsylvanians and beyond to enjoy world-class entertainment, from touring Broadway productions to intimate concerts and comedy shows right in the heart of downtown Hershey, Pa.

Led by Jason Bonham on drums, the late son of Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham, the show continues to pack venues from coast to coast. “Whose Live Anyway?” is 90 minutes of hilarious improvised comedy and song, all based on audience suggestions. Cast members Ryan Stiles, Greg Proops, Jeff B. Hersheypark Christmas Candylane

Open daily Dec. 27 through Jan. 4

Hersheypark is open extended hours for Christmas Candylane during Christmas week on Dec. 27-30 and Jan. 1-3 from 12-9 p.m., plus Dec. 31 from 12-4 p.m. and Jan. 4 from 12-8 p.m.

See the park come to life with more than five million lights (the most of any amusement park in the state), including the NOEL light show synchronized to holiday music along Spring Creek. NOEL starts nightly at 5 p.m. and runs every 30 minutes in The Hollow region. Enjoy seven coasters and select family rides, including the holiday debut of Twizzlers Twisted Gravity (weather and maintenance permitting). Beat the chill with the new Twinkling Thru Time holiday show (the first since 2019) inside the heated Chevrolet Music Box Theatre (performances through Dec. 28).

Looking for a holiday photo souvenir? Stop by the NEW location of our 50-foot Kissmas Tree located in Chocolatetown. Or stroll through TREEville Trail at The Boardwalk and view more than 20 decorated trees sharing stories of The Sweetest Place On Earth. 

The reindeer are still here in the themed Mary N. Bright Airfield, back from their famous flight. Then, treat yourself to a warm holiday beverage at the Simply Chocolate Hot Chocolate Bar and Concourse Cocoa inside Terminal C. 

Hershey Sweet Lights

Open nightly Dec. 27 through Jan. 4

Up the road from Hersheypark is the separately ticketed Hershey Sweet Lights presented by PPL drive-through Christmas light attraction. Guests can enjoy more than 500 illuminated, animated light displays along two miles of fields and wooded trails from the comfort of their car. Many displays follow unique themes, such as "The 12 Days of Christmas," an Enchanted Forest, Hersheypark rides and Hershey Bears hockey, as well as a region inspired by the Northern Lights.

Hershey Sweet Lights is open from 5-10 p.m. on Dec. 27-28, and 5-9 p.m. Dec. 29-Jan. 4. Admission pricing varies depending on the date of visit and the type of vehicle. Please buy online for significant savings. Single cars (seats up to 8 people) range from $29.99 to $34.99 when purchased online. Wild Winter Adventure at ZooAmerica

Dec. 26, 27, 28, 29 or 30 | 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. or 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Spark your child’s excitement by taking them on a wild winter adventure with ZooAmerica this Christmas. This is a three-hour program designed for children in grades K through 5. During the program, participants will get an interactive learning experience with our North American animals. They will learn about the incredible survival skills animals use in the cold winter months, observe their winter habitats, see animals up-close, participate in an enrichment activity, and enjoy a snack. Plus, participants will be able to visit the reindeer in Hersheypark.

Catch the Excitement of Hershey Bears Hockey

Dec. 28 at 5 p.m.; Jan. 4 at 3 p.m.

Bring on the holiday cheer for the Calder Cup Champions, the Hershey Bears, at a home game before the end of the year. Watch the match against the Charlotte Checkers on Dec. 28, at 5 p.m., for a special promotional game night, Kids Night! There will be fun activities just for kids.

On Sunday, Jan. 4, the Hershey Bears are excited to host their annual GIANT Teddy Bear Toss. Fans are encouraged to bring new or gently used teddy bears and plush toys to the game to be thrown on the ice when the Bears score their first goal. There is no limit on how many teddy bears fans can bring, as each donated stuffed animal is collected and donated to more than 30 local organizations in Central Pennsylvania.

Hershey New Year’s Eve Celebration Ringing in America 250

Dec. 31 from 11 a.m. to midnight

Hershey New Year’s Eve will ring in 2026 with a can’t-miss celebration for all to enjoy on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2025. Held in the heart of downtown Hershey, Pa., the event will feature kid-friendly entertainment, main stage music and a unique laser and pyrotechnics display featuring Americana elements to honor the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States.

Families can look forward to New Year’s countdowns and bubble wrap stomps during the day at The Hershey Story Museum at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. For younger guests who may not make it until midnight, the event will feature a family hour from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., including local music from children’s musician Holly Serio, face painting, vendors and more. The HERSHEY Characters will visit the main stage at 8:30 p.m. for a final bubble wrap stomp and dance party.

Main stage music performances will begin at 9 p.m. Returning to headline this year’s event is Pennsylvania quartet and TikTok sensation Burn the Jukebox, following their crowd-pleasing show in 2024. The group’s set will include pop and rock hits spanning over five decades, along with their own original songs. Opening for Burn the Jukebox is the five-person cover band Fully Stocked, pumping out energy and fun with rock and pop songs from the 1970s to today. 

At midnight, MC Denny Logan (WNNK 104.1) and the HERSHEY Characters will count down to the HERSHEY’S KISS raise, followed by an immersive laser and pyrotechnics display to light up the night.
