Based on the best-selling novel that inspired the iconic film, The Notebook tells the story of Allie and Noah, both from different worlds, who share a lifetime of love despite the forces that threaten to pull them apart.

Highly acclaimed musician Vince Gill will bring the “50 Years From Home Tour" to Hershey Theatre this month. Gill has spent much of the last nine years as a touring member of the Eagles. He is presently curating a series of EPs to be released over the course of a year, thematically titled “50 Years From Home,” which honors his 50-year career milestone of leaving his home in Oklahoma to begin his career as a performer.

Tim McGraw at Hersheypark Stadium

Saturday, July 11, at 3 p.m.

Three-time GRAMMY Award-winning superstar Tim McGraw will perform in Hershey, Pa., with special guests The Chicks and Lady A, with 49 Winchester and Timothy Wayne. The show at Hersheypark Stadium is just one of three exclusive stadium shows this summer. McGraw’s upcoming tour follows his intimate, sold-out limited engagement at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace last December and his massive 2024 “Standing Room Only Tour.” With a career spanning more than three decades, the touring titan promises even more high-energy shows featuring his chart-topping hits and fan favorites.

Alison Krauss & Union Station, featuring Jerry Douglas, will bring their 2026 “Arcadia” tour to Hershey, Pa., this month. Known for an immaculately crafted but endlessly surprising sound, Alison Krauss & Union Station have upheld their legacy as one of the most influential and widely celebrated acts in bluegrass and roots music. The group released their highly anticipated new album, “Arcadia,” in 2025. This marked their first studio album since the 2011 masterpiece “Paper Airplane”—a critically lauded, multiple Grammy Award-winning LP that debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country, Bluegrass and Folk Album charts. 

Thomas Rhett & Niall Horan at Hersheypark Stadium

Saturday, July 18, at 6 p.m.

Multi-platinum global superstars Thomas Rhett and Niall Horan announced only two nights of stadium shows in 2026, including one at Hersheypark Stadium on Saturday, July 18! Produced by Live Nation, the run marks the first time that the pair will perform stadium headlining shows together. Rising stars Kashus Culpepper and Emily Ann Roberts will also join the concert in Hershey, Pa. 

“Niall and I have been buddies for nearly a decade now, but one thing we’ve not done yet is officially tour together," said Thomas Rhett. "There’s nothing I love more than being on the road alongside longtime friends—it’s going to be a blast for us and the fans.”

“When TR brought up the idea of doing these, I immediately got so excited just thinking about it,” Horan says. “We’ve been friends for ages and it just makes perfect sense.” The announcement follows Rhett and Horan’s recent collaboration “twangy, revamped” (Billboard) version of Thomas Rhett’s fan-favorite track, “Old Tricks.”

Five Finger Death Punch at Hersheypark Stadium

Produced by Live Nation, Five Finger Death Punch's 48-city tour run includes a show at Hersheypark Stadium this July. Platinum-certified outlaw country musician Cody Jinks and rock group Eva Under Fire will join as special guests.

The 2026 tour will showcase new material from Five Finger Death Punch’s upcoming tenth studio album alongside the anthems that defined a generation of fans. The band’s current albums, “Best Of – Volume 1” and “Best Of – Volume 2,” feature newly re-recorded versions of their biggest hits, including the No. 1 single “I Refuse” and the No. 1 single “The End.” Both albums were created in response to the sale of the band’s original masters, a decision made without their knowledge or opportunity to reclaim them.

Monday, July 27, at 7:30 p.m.

Multiplatinum singer-songwriter, pianist and composer Tori Amos will visit Hershey, Pa., as part of an extensive 35-date summer tour across the U.S. The tour will accompany the release of Amos’ 18th studio album, “In Times of Dragons,” which released on May 1. The live shows will see Amos joined once again by longtime collaborators Jon Evans (MD and bass) and Ash Soan (drums), plus the addition of three backing singers to perform songs from “In Times of Dragons.” The performances will also feature highlights from across Amos’ illustrious 35-year career, which has earned her eight GRAMMY nominations and over 12 million global album sales.

“Weird Al” Yankovic at GIANT Center

Friday, July 31, at 8 p.m.

Following the incredible success of his 2025 tour, the legendary “Weird Al” Yankovic will return to the road in 2026 with the next chapter of his record-breaking “Bigger & Weirder Tour." During his 2025 run of dates, Yankovic delighted more than 500,000 fans, playing a historic string of 75 shows across 67 cities and selling out iconic venues, such as Madison Square Garden, The Kia Forum and Red Rocks Amphitheatre. 

The 2026 “Bigger & Weirder Tour” will visit 90 cities across North America and feature Yankovic’s celebrated hits alongside deep-cut fan favorites, multiple costume changes, an eight-piece ensemble featuring his original band and special guest Puddles Pity Party.

Shinedown at GIANT Center

June 6 at 7 p.m.

One of the biggest bands in the world, Shinedown, will bring their massive “Dance Kid Dance Act II World Tour” to Hershey, Pa., this June for a sold-out performance with special guests Coheed and Cambria, Black Stone Cherry, and DJ Rock Feed. The tour will see the band head to 11 countries across 54 dates. 

To coincide with the tour, the group recently released their brand new studio album, “EI8HT,” on May 29. Over the past year, the multi-platinum band released four major songs, “Dance, Kid, Dance,” “Killing Fields,” “Three Six Five” and the era-defining “Searchlight,” each reinforcing their position as one of the most powerful forces in modern music. “Dance, Kid, Dance” and “Killing Fields” both reached No. 1 at rock radio, while “Three Six Five” became a global crossover hit, topping No. 1 at Alternative radio. 

Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Evening at Hershey Theatre

Led by Jason Bonham, the late son of Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham, “JBLZE” continues to pack venues from coast to coast. The evening is a spectacle of top-flight musicianship, arresting visuals, mind-blowing lighting and emotionally charged storytelling. Rolling Stone hailed it as a “set of Led Zep gems that were strikingly faithful to the originals.” The group has opened for artists such as Billy Joel, Heart and more.

Josh Groban with Jennifer Hudson at GIANT Center

June 10 at 8 p.m.

Five-time GRAMMY Award-nominated singer, songwriter, actor and philanthropist Josh Groban will visit GIANT Center this month with special guest GRAMMY Award-winning artist, actor and producer Jennifer Hudson.

Produced by Live Nation and presented by Stifel, the tour offers a rare opportunity to experience two of the most powerful and acclaimed voices sharing one stage for an unforgettable evening of soaring vocals and beloved hits. As we approach the nation's 250th anniversary, America250PA invites you to the Commonwealth Concert Series: a five-city, statewide celebration centered on Pennsylvania, the foundation of the American story. These FREE concerts are designed to honor the unique communities and diverse narratives that define the state by providing accessible cultural experiences for all residents. From the birthplace of democracy to the modern cultural hubs of today, each tour stop celebrates the distinct character of it's specific region while simultaneously uniting communities through a shared musical experience and historical reflection. Taking place every Saturday from Memorial Day weekend through the end of June 2026, these signature events bring high-caliber, world-class artists to every corner of the state. Because these celebrations belong to everyone, these large-scale performances are completely free to attend. The Commonwealth Concert Series stop at Hersheypark Stadium will include The Avett Brothers featuring Mike Patton, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts and special guest Chloe Flowers.

Josh Gates at Hershey Theatre

Explorer, talk show host and author Josh Gates will bring his live show to Hershey Theatre on June 13. Audiences will join Gates for an evening of adventure as he takes viewers around the world and off the map, sharing stories from his most extraordinary expeditions and offering insights into the world’s greatest mysteries. From hilarious misadventures to thrilling moments of discovery, Gates keeps audiences on the edge of their seats. He is best known for starring in the Discovery Channel’s “Expedition Unknown.”

Indigo Girls at Hershey Theatre

June 14 at 7 p.m.

GRAMMY Award-winning trailblazers Indigo Girls will visit Hershey, Pa. for a can't-miss performance this month. After four decades, 16 studio albums and more than 15 million records sold, Indigo Girls continue to pave the way for generations of Queer artists in the mainstream. The duo began their career in clubs and bars around their native Atlanta, Ga., amidst a blossoming alternative music scene before signing to Epic Records in 1988. Their self-titled album sold over two million copies under the power of singles “Closer to Fine” and “Kid Fears.” The record was the first of six consecutive Gold and/or Platinum-certified albums. 
 

Forrest Frank at Hersheypark Stadium

June 15 at 7 p.m. (rescheduled from June 14)

GRAMMY-nominated artist Forrest Frank will bring his “The Jesus Generation Tour” to Hersheypark Stadium on June 15 with special guests Tori Kelly, Cory Asbury and The Figs. Presented by TPR and hitting 29 cities across the U.S., “The Jesus Generation Tour” follows Frank’s completely sold-out “Child of God Tour Part 2.” Fans will be greeted by the Figs as they arrive, Asbury will lead in worship and Kelly will open the night by guiding the crowd into Frank’s headlining set. Frank capped 2024 as a first-time GRAMMY nominee with his RIAA Gold-certified album “CHILD OF GOD,” the year’s best-selling Christian album. His hit “YOUR WAY’S BETTER” went viral, earned RIAA Gold status, broke into the Billboard Hot 100 and became Billboard’s No. 2 Hot Christian Song of 2025. He followed this success with the release of “CHILD OF GOD II,” featuring standout tracks including “NOTHING ELSE (with Thomas Rhett),” “NO L’s” and “AMEN.” 

Daniel Tosh at Hershey Theatre

Comedian, host, writer and producer Daniel Tosh is coming to Hershey, Pa., as part of his 2026 “My First Farewell Tour.” Tosh is best known for hosting and creating TOSH.0, which aired on Comedy Central from 2009 to 2020. The show was one of the longest-running comedy series for the network. He can currently be seen hosting his latest project, “TOSH SHOW,” a video podcast for iHeart Media. 

Mumford & Sons at Hersheypark Stadium

June 20 at 6:30 p.m.

Mumford & Sons will visit major venues across the U.S. this summer as part of their “Prizefighter” tour including a show at Hersheypark Stadium on June 20 with special guests Lord Huron and Dylan Gossett. Long celebrated for their electric live performances, touring has defined Mumford & Sons from the beginning, in shaping their sound, building their fanbase and fostering their collaborative spirit. The 2026 “Prizefighter” tour will celebrate the group’s latest record, co-produced and co-written with The National’s Aaron Dessner. “Prizefighter” features collaborations with Hozier, Gracie Abrams, Chris Stapleton and Gigi Perez. 

Chicago at Hershey Theatre

June 23 at 7:30 p.m.

Multi GRAMMY Award-winning band Chicago returns to Hershey Theatre with a performance this June. Hailed as one of the “most important bands in music since the dawn of the rock and roll era,” the legendary band came in as the highest-charting American band in Billboard magazine’s Top 125 Artists of All Time. Chicago is the first American rock band to chart Top 40 albums in six consecutive decades. The group continues to be true ambassadors for their beloved hometown, carrying the city’s name with pride and dignity around the world. 2025 marked their 58th consecutive year of touring. 

Chris Stapleton at Hersheypark Stadium

June 24 at 6 p.m.

Eleven-time GRAMMY Award-winning musician Chris Stapleton's “All-American Road Show” will run through this fall with more than 20 newly added stops, including a visit back to Hersheypark Stadium on Wednesday, June 24, with special guest Grace Potter. Stapleton recently celebrated the 10-year anniversary of his groundbreaking debut album, “Traveller,” last year. Beloved by critics, fans and fellow artists, “Traveller” won Best Country Album at the 58th GRAMMY Awards and went on to become the best-selling country album of the 2010s. Following a historic turn on the 2015 CMA Awards—where Stapleton became the first artist to ever win Album of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and New Artist of the Year in the same year—“Traveller” became the first album in history to re-enter the Billboard 200 all-genre album chart at No. 1, where it stayed for two straight weeks.
 

James Taylor at GIANT Center

June 25 at 7:30 p.m.

GRAMMY Award-winning singer and guitarist James Taylor and his All-Star Band will make a stop at GIANT Center this June. The performance is part of a 29-date run, making stops in major cities across the U.S. Over the course of his celebrated songwriting and performing career, Taylor has sold more than 100 million albums, earning gold, platinum and multi-platinum awards since the release of his self-titled debut album in 1968. In 2015, he released “Before This World,” the first-ever No. 1 album of his illustrious career. Taylor has won multiple GRAMMY Awards and has been inducted into both the Rock and Roll and the prestigious Songwriters Hall of Fame. 
 

Santana & The Doobie Brothers at Hersheypark Stadium

June 26 at 7 p.m.

Produced by Live Nation, Santana and The Doobie Brothers' “Oneness Tour” will visit major markets across North America, including Hershey, Pa., in late June. The “Oneness Tour” ignites Santana’s high-energy, passion-driven hits spanning more than five decades—from the epic breakthrough of “Abraxa” to Woodstock to the global phenomenon of “Supernatural” and beyond. Each song is delivered with the same fire and spiritual intensity that has made Santana's sound one of the most instantly recognizable and celebrated in history.

YouTube sensation Dude Perfect is bringing their 2026 “Squad Games Tour” to 22 cities across the U.S. for an action-packed night of competition, trick shots and family fun. The tour will stop at GIANT Center on June 28. After wrapping up a record-breaking 2025 run, the YouTube stars — Tyler Toney, Cory Cotton, Coby Cotton, Garrett Hilbert and Cody Jones — are set to deliver a fully immersive live experience that brings audiences closer to the action than ever before. Inspired by the group’s fan-favorite “Squad Games” video series, the new show format captures the energy of a live sporting event, as the Dudes face off against their favorite athletes, creators and more in the high-energy games and over-the-top challenges that bring the Dude Perfect Universe to life. Former professional football quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will join the Dudes for their show in Hershey.

U.S. Figure Skating returns from Milan with one of the most decorated American teams in Winter Olympic history. The 2026 Stifel Stars on Ice tour will bring the opportunity to celebrate their achievements to Hershey, Pa., on Saturday, May 2, at GIANT Center. Headlining the tour is Olympic Champion and Olympic Team Gold Medalist, reigning World Champion and two-time U.S. Champion Alysa Liu, whose historic comeback culminated in the first U.S. women’s Olympic Gold since 2002. She is joined by Olympic Team Gold and Ice Dance Silver Medalists, three-time reigning World Champions, and seven-time reigning U.S. Champions Madison Chock & Evan Bates; and Olympic Team Gold Medalist, reigning three-time World Champion and reigning four-time U.S. Champion Ilia Malinin, the “Quad God,” who anchored the U.S. Team’s second consecutive Olympic Gold.

Hershey Symphony Presents: Czech, Please! at Hershey Theatre

Embark on a vibrant journey through the music of Bohemia with the Hershey Symphony Orchestra, which will showcase the rich traditions of Czech composers. Known for her confessional lyrics and raspy, smoky vocals, Melissa Etheridge has remained one of America's favorite female singers for more than two decades. Classic rock group America recently embarked on “The Happy Trails Tour 2026” following a sold-out run of shows for their 55th anniversary. The tour includes a show at Hershey Theatre on Saturday, May 9. Known for their timeless magic and powerful performances, the Grammy Award-winning group will draw on their deep catalog of hits, including their signature song, “Horse With No Name,” which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1972.

Hershey Theatre Apollo Awards at Hershey Theatre

The annual Hershey Theatre Apollo Awards (HTAA) ceremony is back! Join guests in celebrating local high school theatre students and programs. Modeled after The Tony Awards on Broadway, the HTAA program recognizes outstanding achievements, both onstage and behind the scenes, of local high school students in musical and play productions. The ceremony features performances by nominated students and casts, with over 300 students participating. In addition, the program awards approximately $15,000 in scholarships and monetary rewards annually to students.

Khalid at GIANT Center

Multi-platinum global superstar Khalid will return to stages across the U.S. with the “It’s Always Summer Somewhere Tour,”  including a show at GIANT Center with special guest Lauv. The 25-date tour celebrates Khalid’s evolution since emerging as one of music’s most relatable young voices. Since breaking through with his 2017 debut album “American Teen” featuring the global hits “Location” and “Young Dumb & Broke,” Khalid has become one of contemporary music’s most authentic artists. Fun Facts

1. Romeo's costumes worn in the show were partially inspired by outfits that singer Harry Styles wore to the Met Gala.
2. All of the ensemble characters in “& JULIET” have names, which isn't always true when it comes to musicals. Their names are inspired by performers in Shakespeare's real-life acting company, members of his family, or characters from his plays.
3. As book writer, David West Read, wrote the story and script for “& JULIET,” he tried using iambic pentameter (a rhythmic pattern found in many works by Shakespeare) in a number of different ways. However, he worried that it might distract the audience, so he chose to use it only to punctuate certain key moments.
4. When Juliet sings “Roar,” her balcony floats off the ground in a shower of confetti, which is both a reference to the famous balcony scene in Romeo and Juliet and to pop stars flying over the crowd during their concerts. Director Luke Sheppard uses this moment to show that Shakespeare’s plays and Max Martin’s songs aren’t always so different.

The comedian's brand-new national tour will span 26 markets in theaters across the country. Siddiq was recently nominated for a 2026 NAACP Image Award for his stand-up special “Ali Siddiq: My Two Sons,” which is the only independently produced and released YouTube special to ever receive a major award nomination.

Jon Anderson & The Band Geeks | 8 P.M. 

Jon Anderson and The Band Geeks are set to return to Hershey Theatre following a successful summer 2025 tour. The run will visit 10 venues, with a set list featuring well-known YES classics, along with deep cuts and songs from their album “TRUE.”

John Legend | 8 P.M. 

Award-winning superstar John Legend joins us for an unforgettable evening, featuring songs and stories spanning his more than 20-year career. The shows will feature stripped-down, intimate performances of some of Legend’s biggest hits, including “All of Me,” “Ordinary People” and “Tonight,” along with other fan favorites. Legend will also share personal stories and reflections from his life and career.

Anne Wilson | 7 P.M. 

At just 23 years old, singer-songwriter Anne Wilson has already emerged as one of the most distinctive new voices in both Christian and country music, having already accumulated more than 2 billion streams. TINA – The Tina Turner Musical is the inspiring true story of a woman who defined racism, sexism and ageism to become the global Queen of Rock N' Roll. The smash-hit stage production celebrates Turner's resilience, talent and triumphant rise from a small-town girl with a big voice to an international icon. The show features some of her biggest hits, including “What's Love Got to Do With It,” “Proud Mary,” “Nutbush City Limits,” “The Best” and “River Deep - Mountain High.”

One of the best-selling artists of all time, Tina Turner influenced generations with her music, performances and unshakable spirit. She was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1991 with Ike Turner and later nominated in 2021 for her solo career. Turner's legacy continues to inspire stories of strength, hope and transformation.

A new touring production, produced in collaboration with Crossroads Live North America, launched in the Fall of 2024 in Springfield, Ohio. In Europe, TINA currently has its first-ever UK & Ireland tour and had productions at Stage Operettenhaus in Hamburg, Germany, the Apollo Theater in Stuttgart, Germany, the Beatrix Theater in Utrecht, Netherlands, the Teatro Coliseum in Madrid, Spain and a sell-out season at Theatre Royal Sydney in Australia. The West End Production at the Aldwych Theatre played its final show on Sept. 13, 2025.

The building, which closed in late January 2025, has undergone a series of major improvements, including new air conditioning, new seating and carpeting, a new orchestra pit, improved Wi-Fi connectivity, new LED lighting and more. The building’s electrical systems and stage have also been modernized, along with the creation of a two-story loading dock to streamline show load-ins.

Hershey Theatre Spotlight Tours

Beginning this month, Hershey Theatre will once again offer 90-minute public “Spotlight Tours,” a guided walking tour that takes guests behind the scenes, from “basement to balcony,” of the historic masterpiece. Spotlight Tours are held most Sundays and Mondays at 1 p.m., depending on the Theatre’s schedule. Tickets can be purchased online or in person at The Hershey Story Museum. 

The building closed in late January 2025 to undergo a series of major improvements, including:   

• completely refurbished heating, ventilation and air conditioning
• new mechanical and electrical systems
• 1,904 new seats
• new carpeting
• new LED lighting throughout
• additional aisle lighting
• improved wi-fi connectivity
• new handrails in balcony aisles (coming in May/June)
• additional removable armrests to facilitate wheelchair transfer
• improved pedestrian crossing
• improved parking lot spaces, lighting and green space
• new exterior walkways and paver plaza
• modernized assisted-listening system (coming in April)
• modernization of the stage
• new orchestra pit lift

 “This carefully planned project was a cooperative effort among historic theater consultants, architects and engineers, all working toward the shared goal of completing these essential infrastructure upgrades while honoring the Theatre’s historic character,” Papson added. 

Hershey Theatre Spotlight Tours

“We extend our sincere thanks to our patrons and the community for their patience and support throughout the renovation process,” Papson said, adding that weekly public “Spotlight Tours” are available for individuals to see the behind-the-scenes renovations. 

Spotlight Tours are offered at the Theatre on most Sundays and Mondays at 1 p.m., depending on the Theatre’s schedule. The 90-minute guided tours take guests from “basement to balcony,” focusing on the building’s rich history. Tickets to Spotlight Tours are sold online at HersheyTheatre.com and in person at The Hershey Story Museum.

The first performance at Hershey Theatre will be author Neil DeGrasse Tyson on Thursday, March 5, at 7:30 p.m., followed by comedian Jim Jefferies on Friday, March 13, and Steve Martin and Martin Short on Saturday, March 14. “TINA: The Tina Turner Musical,” being held March 24 through March 29, kicks off the Hershey Theatre 2026 Broadway Series, which also includes “& JULIET” and “A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical.”

History of Hershey Theatre

In 1915, world-famous chocolatier and philanthropist Milton S. Hershey had his architect, C. Emlen Urban, draw up plans for a new community building, including Hershey Theatre. Groundbreaking was originally scheduled for early 1916, but the arrival of World War I delayed the start of the project. Post-war financial challenges forced Mr. Hershey to delay community projects. As a result, the architect’s plans were put away and virtually forgotten. 

As the Depression overwhelmed the country’s economy in the early 1930s, Mr. Hershey responded to the economic crisis by initiating a local building program known as the Great Building Campaign. The campaign employed more than 600 workers— who would have otherwise been unemployed—and saw the construction of Hershey Theatre and other major Hershey landmarks, including The Hotel Hershey, Hersheypark Arena and Hersheypark Stadium. 

Although Hershey Theatre was built around the same time as Radio City Music Hall, the Theatre was constructed from Urban’s 1915 plans, giving the venue its opulence that resembles those of early 20th-century theaters. Hershey dedicated the Community Building and Hershey Theatre during the 13th anniversary celebration of the town on Sept. 1-4, 1933. The Theatre officially opened its doors on Sept. 2, 1933. 

Today, Hershey Theatre remains a must-visit destination for Central Pennsylvanians and beyond to enjoy world-class entertainment, from touring Broadway productions to intimate concerts and comedy shows right in the heart of downtown Hershey, Pa.

Hersheypark Christmas Candylane continues through Jan. 4 with over 40 family rides (weather, temperature and maintenance permitting), signature eats and treats and reindeer visits. Although Hersheypark will be closed for the off season following the end of Christmas Candylane, 2026 Season Pass Holders will be able to start enjoying a full year of perks by visiting ZooAmerica, dining at The Chocolatier and enjoying various discounts across the town of Hershey. 

2. Discovery Weekends at ZooAmerica

Jan. 3-4, 10-11, 17-18, 24-25; 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Visit ZooAmerica during Discovery Weekends this month! Children ages 8 and under enter for FREE with the purchase of a regular or senior admission ticket at the door. Each Discovery Weekend spotlights a specific animal and features a variety of enrichment activities to learn more about your favorite animals.

3. Hershey Bears GIANT Teddy Bear Toss at GIANT Center

Sunday, Jan. 4; 3 p.m.

The Hershey Bears are excited to host their annual GIANT Teddy Bear Toss. Fans are encouraged to bring new or gently used teddy bears and plush toys to the game to be thrown on the ice at GIANT Center when the Bears score their first goal. There is no limit on how many teddy bears fans can bring.

Since first hosting this beloved minor-league hockey tradition in 2001, the Bears have collected 566,450 stuffed animals – including a record 102,343 last season – and have donated them to children in need throughout Central Pennsylvania. A limited number of tickets for the Teddy Bear Toss Game are currently available, and the event is expected to sell out quickly. 4. NEW! Winter Wednesdays Family Series at Hershey Gardens

Jan. 14, 21, 28; 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Visitors to Hershey Gardens can meet new “friends” each week at the Zoology Zone Interactive Cart to engage in family activities and explore how animals and plants survive winter. Guests will learn about the similarities and differences between native species and the species in our Zoology Zone, discuss winter survival strategies, and explore when seeds are dormant during the winter. Activities are located in the Milton & Catherine Hershey Conservatory and the Education Center and are included in general admission.

5. Sips & Sweets: An Evening in the Chocolate Lab at The Hershey Story Museum

Thursday, Jan. 15; 7 to 8 p.m. 

Get ready for an evening of chocolatey fun! The Chocolate Lab at The Hershey Story Museum is serving up three delicious, handcrafted desserts and a specialty mocktail. Participants will learn a few fundamentals of dessert-making in this fun, one-hour class. This BYOB event is perfect for guests 21+ who want to savor sweets and sip with friends! Cost is $35 per person; $30 for members. Registration required, limited seating available.

6. Live Entertainment at Iberian Lounge

11. Winter Bird Watching at Hershey Gardens

Birding enthusiasts can learn to identify the various birds that call Hershey Gardens home during the winter. Staff will guide participants through Project Feederwatch, then take them on a unique guided bird walk, providing additional information about identification and feeding techniques.

For the youngest birders, additional family crafts and activities will be offered in the Hershey Gardens classroom. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. This event is in partnership with the Quittapahilla Audubon Society and is included in general admission. Registration is required by calling 717-508-5968.

12. Explore Founders Hall Visitors Center at Milton Hershey School

The Milton Hershey School (MHS) Founders Hall Visitors Center is open to visitors, offering an opportunity to explore more than 110 years of MHS history. The free tour explores the story of the School's past, present and future. Founders Hall is located at 801 Spartan Lane, Hershey, PA 17003, near the intersection of Meadow Lane and East Governor Road. (Rte. 322).

Discovery Weekends at ZooAmerica

Interactive Events at Hershey Gardens

Hershey Gardens is open daily this winter except Jan. 5-9 for maintenance. Visitors can take a stroll through the 23-acre walk-through botanical display garden, featuring an indoor tropical Butterfly Atrium with 600 butterflies from around the world. The atrium is one of only 25 year-round indoor tropical butterfly atriums in the U.S.

Every Wednesday in January from 10 a.m. to noon, meet new “friends” at the Zoology Zone Interactive Cart and engage in family activities that explore how animals and plants survive winter. Dried Floral Arrangement Class

On Saturday, Feb. 7, from 10 a.m. to noon, create your own dried floral arrangement to bring beauty to your home in the winter months. You'll use an assortment of dried specimens, such as seed pods, florals, grasses and greens, to learn about color, form and texture when creating an arrangement. Class held in the Education Center in The Children’s Garden. Registration is required.

Chocolate Lab Classes at The Hershey Story

Those looking for a fun indoor activity to beat the winter blues can head to The Hershey Story Museum to learn all about the life and legacy of Milton S. Hershey, the town he created and the lives he touched. Additional paid experiences are also available, including the Chocolate Lab, where guests can learn about the chocolate-making process from "bean to bar" and create their own chocolate treat. Chocolate Lab Classes are offered daily on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets can be purchased at The Hershey Story⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠ admissions desk on the day of the visit.

Public Ice Skating at Hersheypark Arena

Ice skating is a staple on many people's winter bucket lists. Hersheypark Arena is open for public ice skating on select dates in December and January. Children 3 and under are admitted free, with ticket prices ranging from $6 to $9 for ages 4 and older.

1. Despite his success as a musician, Neil Diamond is also an accomplished fencer. While at New York University, he was a member of the fencing team and helped Abraham Lincoln High School win the city scholastic fencing championship in 1958.
2. Neil Diamond wrote the song “I'm a Believer,” which became a hit for The Monkees in 1066. The song was so popular that it knocked The Beatles' “Day Tripper” off the top of the charts.
3. In the 1970s, Diamond had a brief career as a film actor. He appeared in two movies, “The Last Waltz” and “The Jazz Singer,” the latter of which was based on his own life.
4. His 1976 album “Beautiful Noise” was partially recorded in his own home. Diamond built a recording studio in the basement of his Beverly Hills house and used it to record several of his albums.
5. Neil Diamond was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1984, but he didn’t attend the ceremony. Instead, he sent a letter stating that he was grateful for the honor but preferred to let his songs speak for themselves.

Fun Facts About The Show

1. Romeo's costumes worn in the show were partially inspired by outfits that singer Harry Styles wore to the Met Gala.
2. All of the ensemble characters in “& JULIET” have names, which isn't always true when it comes to musicals. Their names are inspired by performers in Shakespeare's real-life acting company, members of his family, or characters from his plays.
3. As book writer, David West Read, wrote the story and script for “& JULIET,” he tried using iambic pentameter (a rhythmic pattern found in many works by Shakespeare) in a number of different ways. However, he worried that it might distract the audience, so he chose to use it only to punctuate certain key moments.
4. When Juliet sings “Roar,” her balcony floats off the ground in a shower of confetti, which is both a reference to the famous balcony scene in Romeo and Juliet and to pop stars flying over the crowd during their concerts. Director Luke Sheppard uses this moment to show that Shakespeare’s plays and Max Martin’s songs aren’t always so different.

Hershey Bears  GIANT Teddy Bear Toss at GIANT Center

Sunday, Jan. 5 at 3 p.m.

The Hershey Bears are excited to host their annual GIANT Teddy Bear Toss. Fans are encouraged to bring new or gently used teddy bears and plush toys to the game to be thrown on the ice when the Bears score their first goal. There is no limit on how many teddy bears fans can bring, as each donated stuffed animal is collected and donated to more than 30 local organizations in Central Pennsylvania.

 A limited number of tickets for the Teddy Bear Toss Game are currently available, and the game is expected to sell out. For tickets and additional information about the Hershey Bears, please visit HersheyBears.com.

Paw Patrol LIVE! A Mighty Adventure at GIANT Center

Discovery Weekends at ZooAmerica

ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. this winter. Families can bundle up and walk around the 11-acre Zoo while learning about dozens of animals native to our continent, like gray wolves, black bears and Canada lynx. Despite the colder temperatures, winter is often the best time of year to visit ZooAmerica, as the crowds typically are lighter and the animals are more active. 

The Zoo is also hosting Discovery Weekends in January, where kids ages 8 and under can visit for free on Saturdays and Sundays. Each weekend focuses on a different theme with fun activities and learning opportunities. Current ZooAmerica Pass Holders can enjoy unlimited year-round visits to the Zoo, and 2025 Hersheypark Season Pass Holders get into the Zoo for free, too.

Hershey Bears Hockey Games at GIANT Center

Hockey fans can cheer for the hometown, back-to-back Calder Cup Champion Hershey Bears AHL team as they defend their title. The Bears will play 16 games at GIANT Center between now and the end of March.

Key promotional nights include the GIANT Teddy Bear Toss Night on Jan. 5 and Hersheypark Pass Nights on Feb. 11 and Mar. 2. All fans attending the Hersheypark Pass Nights will receive a free 2025 Hersheypark ticket, valid for one-day admission through June 30, 2025! Passes will be distributed to all fans upon entry to the game date purchased, valid one pass per game ticket.

The Hershey Bears also offer a Me+3 4-Pack on select December and January games when purchased online by Dec. 31. 

Tuesday Trivia Nights at The Chocolatier

Calling all trivia fans! The Chocolatier Restaurant, Bar + Patio, located just outside of Hersheypark in Hershey's Chocolatetown, hosts Trivia Nights every Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. through March 18. Diners can enjoy delicious appetizers and drinks while playing fun trivia games for a chance to win a prize. Reservations are strongly encouraged.

Dine With Coco The Bear at The Chocolatier

Kids can enjoy a free kid's dessert with the purchase of a kid's entrée at The Chocolatier on Thursdays from 5-7 p.m. during the Hershey Bears hockey season. Plus, all diners can hang out with Coco, The Official Mascot of the Hershey Bears! Reservations are strongly encouraged.

Seasonal Spa Treatments

What better way to beat the winter blues than with a chocolate spa day? MeltSpa by Hershey day spa and The Spa At The Hotel Hershey resort spa offer signature chocolate treatments and seasonal collections to warm up and unwind on a cold winter day. Special Meet & Greets at Hershey's Chocolate World

Hershey's Chocolate World is open daily from January through March; hours vary by day. Guests can unwrap their chocolate adventure by being a kid in a candy store, sipping a milkshake, becoming a chocolatier, taking a delicious chocolate tour ride and so much more.

Annual Orchid Show & Sale at Hershey Gardens

Hershey Gardens is open daily this winter except Jan. 6-10 for maintenance. Visitors can take a stroll through the 23-acre walk-through botanical display garden, featuring an indoor tropical Butterfly Atrium with 600 butterflies from around the world. The atrium is one of only 25 year-round indoor tropical butterfly atriums in the U.S.

Hershey Gardens will host the Susquehanna Orchid Society (SOS) for their 41st annual orchid show and sale from Jan. 31 through Feb. 2 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. More than 1,000 orchids representing dozens of varieties, including rare species and unique hybrids, will be on display in the Milton & Catherine Hershey Conservatory. Daily orchid show tours and informational sessions will take place in the exhibition and Garden Cottage. In addition, vendors will have orchids for sale; various orchid societies will have showy displays that will be judged onsite and presented with national awards.

Chocolate Lab Classes at The Hershey Story

Those looking for a fun indoor activity to beat the winter blues can head to The Hershey Story Museum to learn all about the life and legacy of Milton S. Hershey, the town he created and the lives he touched. Additional paid experiences are also available, including the Chocolate Lab, where guests can learn about the chocolate-making process from "bean to bar" and create their own chocolate treat. Chocolate Lab Classes are offered daily on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets can be purchased at The Hershey Story⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠ admissions desk on the day of the visit.

Public Ice Skating at Hersheypark Arena

Ice skating is a staple on many people's winter bucket lists. Hersheypark Arena is open for public ice skating on select dates in January through March. Children 3 and under are free, with ticket prices ranging from $5-8 for ages 4+.

Elevation Nights ’24 with Elevation Worship and Steven Furtick kicks off in Hershey, Pa. on Feb. 20. The eight-city tour is a full worship experience as Steven Furtick preaches and Elevation Worship leads some of their hit songs including “Same God,” “Graves Into Gardens,” “RATTLE!,” “Do It Again,” “The Blessing,” “Praise” and others.

This year on his headlining arena tour, country music superstar Blake Shelton brought out the bar stools and the big hits…and the party is just getting started! Shelton's second leg of his “Back To The Honky Tonk Tour” will launch in February 2024 at GIANT Center. Discovery Weekends at ZooAmerica

Hershey Bears  Hockey Games at GIANT Center

Cheer for the hometown AHL hockey team, the Hershey Bears, as they continue to dominate the AHL this season. The Bears will take the ice at GIANT Center for six games this month. Hockey fans should mark their calendars for upcoming key promotional nights, including the GIANT Teddy Bear Toss Night on Jan. 7 and Hall of Fame Night on Jan. 28.

ABOUT THE SHOW

“Come From Away” is based on the true story of the selflessness and compassion shown by residents of the small Canadian town of Gander, Newfoundland following the attacks on September 11, 2001. Once a major transatlantic fueling stop, the airport in Gander did not have much air traffic until 38 planes were rerouted there due to the closure of the American airspace. In the week following September 11, residents of Gander worked together to care for a population that had doubled its own. 

In the musical, each cast member plays multiple parts, with several being on stage at all times throughout the show to help tell the stories of both the plane passengers and Gander residents. Among the characters are the first-ever female captain of an American Airlines plane, the mayor of Gander, a couple who meets on their flight and forms a bond throughout their displacement, and many more.

The book, music, and lyrics for the show were written by David Hein and Irene Sankoff, who traveled to Newfoundland to interview the plane passengers and Gander residents to gather true material to incorporate into the show. While “Come From Away” centers on a tragedy, the musical focuses on the friendships, romance, and connections that were formed because Gander residents lent a helping hand to those who needed it most.

Discovery Weekends at ZooAmerica

ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. this winter.  Families can bundle up and walk around the 11-acre Zoo while learning about dozens of animals native to our continent, like gray wolves, black bears and Canada lynx. Despite the colder temperatures, winter is often the best time of year to visit ZooAmerica, as the crowds are lighter and the animals are more active. 

Discovery Weekends will feature how animals use their five senses. Plus, all throughout January, kids ages 8 and under get into ZooAmerica for FREE with the purchase of a regular ticket both online or in person. Hershey Bears Hockey Games at GIANT Center

Cheer for the hometown AHL hockey team, the Hershey Bears, as they look to defend their Calder Cup title. The Bears will take the ice at GIANT Center for 15 games between now and the end of March. Hockey fans should mark their calendars for upcoming key promotional nights, including the GIANT Teddy Bear Toss Night on Jan. 7 and Hersheypark Pass Night on March 17.

CELEBRATING 90 YEARS OF WORLD CLASS ENTERTAINMENT

The magnificent Hershey Theatre was conceived by entrepreneur and philanthropist Milton S. Hershey in the early twentieth century. Lancaster architect C. Emlen Urban drew the plans for the Community Center Building in 1915; however, it was built between 1929 and 1933 as part of Hershey’s “Great Building Campaign” of the Great Depression. Overlooking the town of Hershey, Hershey Gardens is home to 23 acres of botanical beauty with a breathtaking assortment of flowers and shrubs, a stately collection of rare and signature trees, themed gardens, a Butterfly Atrium, The Children's Garden and BugZone. Hermes (Hur'-meez)

In Greek mythology, fleet-footed guide, messenger of the gods, and conductor of souls to the Underworld. In some tellings, it was Hermes who taught Orpheus to play the lyre. In this telling, he is a worldly-wise narrator, master-of-ceremonies, and friend and mentor to Orpheus. 

Fates (Feyts)

Three goddesses who together determined the destinies of mortals, measuring their lifespans and apportioning their suffering. In this story, they follow, fluster, niggle, and cast doubt and insecurity in the minds of some.

Orpheus (Awr'-fee-uh s)

Son of the muse of epic poetry, engaged to marry Eurydice. With his golden voice and lyre, Orpheus charmed all living things, even rocks and stones. This modernized account features an Orpheus on a musical mission beyond his love for Eurydice.

Eurydice (Yoo-rid'-us-see)

A dryad, or tree nymph, engaged to marry Orpheus. On the day of their wedding, she was bitten by a poisonous snake, died, and descended into the Underworld. The Eurydice of this version is a runaway who has experienced much hardship in her young life, which makes it hard for her to trust others.

Persephone (Per-sef'-uh-nee)

Goddess of the seasons, flowers, fruit, and grain. By arrangement, she spent half the year with Hades in the Underworld, causing fall and winter above. The other half she returned to her mother, bringing spring and summer with her. In this modern version, she plays the good-time party girl to dull her disenchantment with said arrangement and other problems in her marriage.

Hades (Hey'-deez)

God of the dead, ruler of the Underworld, sometimes called “the Wealthy One.” He fell in love with and married Persephone. Her mother, the goddess of the harvest, refused to bless the earth while Persephone was below. In this version of the story, he is a greedy and zealous industrialist

Workers Chorus (Wur'-kerz / Kohr'-uh s)

In ancient Greek theater, the Chorus sang, spoke, and danced in unison. Often representing the voice of citizens, the Chorus commented on the actions of characters and served as an emotional conduit for the audience.

Discovery Weekends at ZooAmerica

Hershey Bears Hockey Games at GIANT Center

Cheer for the hometown AHL hockey team, the Hershey Bears, as they continue a historic start to their season. The Bears will take the ice at GIANT Center for six games this month. Hockey fans should mark their calendars for upcoming key promotional nights, including Hersheypark Pass Night on Jan. 8 and the GIANT Teddy Bear Toss Night on Jan. 29.

Happy Hour at The Chocolatier

Going to lunch, dinner or happy hour at a restaurant is a great way to beat cabin fever over the winter months. If you are looking for a unique dining option in Hershey to do just that, consider The Chocolatier Restaurant, Bar + Patio, located just outside of Hersheypark in Hershey's Chocolatetown. The Fun To Table restaurant is open daily starting at 11 a.m., with reservations strongly encouraged. Guests can enjoy classic family fare with a fun spin and hints of chocolate served from an open kitchen. New sweet and savory winter menu items and cocktails are also available.

Hersheypark Christmas Candylane

Daily Through Jan. 1, 2023

The clock is ticking! The week between Christmas and New Year's marks the final week for Christmas Candylane and the last time to get in some rides before Hersheypark closes for the off-season. The holiday attraction features the most Christmas lights in Pennsylvania, with 5 million, as well as more than 45 rides and six coasters, weather and maintenance permitting. Plus, all nine of Santa's reindeer have returned to Hersheypark after a very busy Christmas Eve for guests to see them up close during all hours of operation through Jan. 1, 2023. Hershey Sweet Lights

Nightly Through Jan. 1, 2023

If you prefer to see the Christmas lights from the comfort and warmth of your car, there is one week left to visit to Hershey Sweet Lights, presented by Members 1st Federal Credit Union. Located just minutes from Hersheypark, the separate ticketed experience features two miles of fields and wooded trails decorated with nearly 600 illuminated, animated displays created from about 2 million LED lights. Guests can enjoy the lights while listening to holiday music, with a custom music station provided through the iHeartRadio app. Pricing is per vehicle and varies per day. Wild Winter Adventure at ZooAmerica

Morning and Afternoon Sessions Daily Through Dec. 30, 2022

Parents looking to keep their kids learning during the holiday break can sign them up for the Wild Winter Adventure Program at ZooAmerica. The 3-hour program is geared toward children in grades K-5 to teach them about the survival skills that North American animals use in the cold winter months. Participants will explore ZooAmerica, get up close to certain animals with live encounters, help with animal enrichment activities, make a craft, enjoy a snack and go to see Santa’s reindeer inside Hersheypark. Pre-registration is required. 

The 11-acre North American Wildlife Park in Hershey is also open daily from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. this week. Admission to ZooAmerica is included with a Hersheypark ticket only by accessing the Zoo through the Hersheypark bridge during posted Park hours; hours vary. Separate paid admission is also available online or at the ZooAmerica admissions building. ZooAmerica Annual Pass Holders and current 2022 Hersheypark Season Pass Holders are free.

The show had a successful North American Premiere at Chicago Shakespeare in the summer of 2019. Prior to Broadway, the show played limited engagements at American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) in Cambridge, MA, the Citadel Theatre in Edmonton, AB Canada, and the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts in Saint Paul, MN.

SIX is co-directed by Lucy Moss and Jamie Armitage, featuring choreography by Carrie-Anne Ingrouille. The design team includes Emma Bailey (Set Design), Tony Award®-winner Gabriella Slade (Costume Design), Paul Gatehouse (Sound Design), and Tim Deiling (Lighting Design). The score features orchestrations by Tom Curran with music supervision and vocal arrangements by Joe Beighton and U.S. Music Supervision by Roberta Duchak. Casting is by Tara Rubin Casting / Peter Van Dam, CSA with original US casting by Bob Mason. Theater Matters is General Manager, Sam Levy is Associate Producer and Lucas McMahon is U.S. Executive Producer.

SIX is produced in the United States by Kenny Wax, Wendy & Andy Barnes, George Stiles, and Kevin McCollum. 

Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss devised the original concept and started writing SIX as students at Cambridge University in early 2017. It was first presented as the Cambridge University Musical Theatre Society’s submission to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe later that year, playing a one-month run and featuring student actors. SIX went on to get picked up by UK Producers. A new production was mounted, with professional actors and a predominantly new creative team, at the Norwich Playhouse and then again at Edinburgh Festival in 2018. A limited engagement at the Arts Theatre in London garnered the WhatsOnStage Award for Best Off-West End Production. The show toured the UK in the autumn of 2018 before returning to the Arts Theatre and, subsequently, the Lyric Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue. SIX is currently playing an open-ended run at the Vaudeville Theatre on the Strand. SIX earned five 2019 Laurence Olivier Award nominations, including Best New Musical. A UK and Ireland tour is now running concurrently with the London production. An Australian and New Zealand tour will launch this year at Sydney Opera House, with dates set for Melbourne, Adelaide, and Wellington.
