Step into spring at Hershey Gardens

A break in the temperature, bluer skies and longer days are sure signs that spring is right around the corner! With 23 acres for guests to enjoy year-round, spring at Hershey Gardens is one of the most anticipated.

Winter’s chill thaws with the arrival of early spring blooms, including Lenten roses, winter aconites, snowdrops, daffodils, hyacinth and Siberian Squill—to name a few. As the weeks unfold, the symphony of color intensifies with the blooming magnolia trees, weeping cherries and dogwoods. The flowers on these trees, which range from creamy white and yellow to all shades of pink, are breathtaking. In the annual display gardens, guests can enjoy a colorful patchwork of African daisies and pansies.

Late spring does not disappoint, either! By then, irises are appearing, cloaked in their traditional purple, as well as in shades of “chocolate” and gold. Blooming peonies and rhododendron round out spring’s vibrant palette.

Hershey Gardens is open daily. For hours of operation, ticketing and a complete calendar of events, please visit HersheyGardens.org.
