Staying at an Official Resort of Hersheypark this summer? Be sure to pack your swim gear! The outdoor pools at The Hotel Hershey, Hershey Lodge, and Hersheypark Camping Resort officially open for the 2021 season Memorial Day weekend!
Here's everything you need to know about the outdoor pool complexes at the Official Resorts of Hersheypark.
As you prepare for your visit, please know that we are operating in accordance with guidelines outlined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Pennsylvania Department of Health, and industry partners.
The Hotel Hershey
Featuring an infinity edge adult (18+) pool and whirlpool, family pool with zero-grade entry, two large slides and a kiddie spray deck, the outdoor pool complex at The Hotel Hershey opens for the summer season at 9 a.m. Friday, May 28, weather permitting. Guests of the Hotel are welcome to relax on lounge chairs and enjoy a selection of fresh salads, sandwiches, appetizers and refreshing drinks from Poolside, the resort's pool-side cafe.
Fourteen cabanas surrounding the pool are also available for rental, each cabana featuring a 32-inch flat-screen TV, ceiling fan, table and chairs, three private lounge chairs, refrigerator, bottled water and snack basket. To reserve, please contact the Front Desk at 717-533-2171.
Pool Hours:
- Open daily, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. (Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day)
An indoor pool complex is also open year-round from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
Hershey Lodge
The outdoor pool complex at Hershey Lodge, featuring a zero-entry pool, spray fountain and lounge area, opens for the summer season at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 29, weather permitting.
However, if you're looking for some sweet indoor fun, the Lodge's indoor pool complex, Hershey's Water Works, is open year-round with interactive water features, such as a zero-entry pool, sand castle spray zone, lighthouse tipping bucket, basketball hoops, Twizzler's Twists water slides, Reese's Water Walk and more. During your visit, be sure to check out Cocoa Cabana's selection of sandwiches, salads and soft-serve ice cream, and give the nearby arcade a spin. An outdoor splash pad is also available for guests.
Pool Hours:
- Outdoor pool, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily* (Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day)
- Hershey's Water Works, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily with the below exceptions:
- 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, May 28
- 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, May 29
- Outdoor splash pad, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily (Memorial Day through Labor Day)

Hersheypark Camping Resort
The campground is excited to open its two swimming pools and kiddie pool for the summer season at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 28, weather permitting. The pool complex is the perfect place to cool off after an afternoon at Hersheypark or at the campground's many recreation facilities, including playgrounds, horseshoe pits and basketball, volleyball and shuffleboard courts. An indoor game room and camp store stocked with slushies, snacks and more are also situated next to the pool for guests' convenience.
