In our family, we love to give the gift of travel. Experiences over things is our motto. And sometimes towards the end of the year, we all need a break. It’s usually the end of the school semester, the end of a busy work season, and we want to have fun as a family, so what better place to celebrate the holidays than Hershey, PA? With all the festive activities, Hershey really puts us into the ho-ho-holiday spirit!

Hershey Lodge  for Christmas

If you’re looking for a fun getaway, we love to visit Christmas Candylane and stay at Hershey Lodge! Hershey Lodge feels very homey the minute you walk in. With an inviting fireplace and Christmas decor aplenty, it really feels like a home away from home.

The beds are super comfy, and we love eating at the restaurants inside the resort! It’s a one-stop shop. Plus - chocolate at check-in!

One of the biggest perks of staying at Hershey Lodge is Hershey’s Water Works at Hershey Lodge! It’s an indoor water haven that features water slides, pools, and water activities for all ages. My family and I drove up on Friday afternoon (yes, we skipped out on school a little early) and spent all evening in the pool. It’s just not a vacay without swimming.

When the weather outside is frightful, indoor play at Hershey’s Water Works is delightful!

Then we headed to Christmas Candylane on Saturday for the day to meet Santa, ride attractions, and of course, partake in the yummy snacks!

Christmas Candylane

What’s a visit to Hershey, PA without a stop to Hersheypark? Christmas Candylane brings merriment and wonder with over 40 rides, including six roller coasters, Santa Claus, Santa’s live reindeer, character meet and greets, and the NOEL light show featuring more than 250,000 dancing lights synchronized to Christmas music!

And if that doesn’t put you in the Christmas spirit, then take a look at these holiday sweet treats. I never knew hot chocolate could taste like this! Stop by Simply Chocolate to try the Hot Chocolate Bar with several different flavors to choose from. Personally, I’m team peanut butter.

Hershey Sweet Lights

There’s just something joyful about Christmas lights! Until Jan. 1, you can drive through the holiday winter wonderland of Hershey Sweet Lights. Enjoy nearly 600 illuminated, animated displays from the comfort of your car as you drive through two miles of wooded trails... Nearly 600 displays!
