Sip & Savor at #TheHotelHersheyWFF

This year, the 6th annual Wine & Food Festival at The Hotel Hershey is September 11-13. As has become a tradition for many foodies and wine enthusiasts, the weekend promises memorable flavors, educational events and all-around fun. Guests enjoy culinary treats and delicious wines from around the world set among the backdrop of the historic Hotel Hershey with its majestic gardens and views of The Sweetest Place On Earth.

As the outline of events states, there are events for every pallet and wine connoisseur. Please note – all guests must be 21 or older and provide valid ID at each event.

Friday, September 11 – Wine, Dine and Punch Lines
Kick off the weekend with a reception hosted by Italo Jofre from wine producer Concha y Toro featuring wine selections and a Chilean themed dinner menu. Then, enjoy a selection of desserts and the lighter side of wine with “Something To Wine About,” a comedy show featuring Laurie Forster, The Stand Up Sommelier.
7 – 10 p.m.; $96 per person, includes tax and gratuity

Saturday, September 12 – Vine to Wine at Waltz Vineyards Estate Winery
This unique experience begins with a personal tour of Waltz Vineyards Estate Winery in nearby Lancaster County. The tour is followed by a walk-through of the winemaking process with owners Jan and Kimberly Waltz. The event culminates with a tasting of wines accompanied by local cheeses, crackers and chocolates. Transportation to and from The Hotel Hershey and boxed lunch are included. Outdoor dress and comfortable shoes are suggested.
8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.; $54 per person, includes tax, gratuity and boxed lunch

Saturday, September 12 – Trinchero Bordeaux Blending Class
The Trinchero Bordeaux Blending Class shows guests the process and art of blending Bordeaux red wine. Guests are invited to blend their own Bordeaux-style wine with four of the classic varietal components of Bordeaux: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petite Verdot and Cabernet Franc.
2 – 4 p.m.; $48 per person, includes tax and gratuity

Saturday, September 12 – Pio Cesare Wine Dinner
Hosted by Italian winemaker Cesare Benvenuto from Pio Cesare Wines, the evening begins with a reception followed by a five-course dinner paired with four to five wines. Benvenuto will speak, and guests will have the opportunity to mingle with fellow wine enthusiasts.
6 – 10 p.m.; $120 per person, includes tax and gratuity

Sunday, September 13 – VIP Winemaker Breakfast
This breakfast buffet and mimosa bar is hosted by several Wine Festival winemakers. Registration and wristband pick-up will be available during breakfast for guests who will enjoy the Grand Tasting in the afternoon.
10 a.m. – noon; $30 per person, includes tax and gratuity

Sunday, September 13 – Grand Tasting
The Grand Tasting features more than 80 international and domestic wineries, a selection of local breweries, food samplings from Hershey Entertainment & Resorts’ award-winning chefs and restaurants and live jazz entertainment. Guests are invited to stroll and enjoy the grounds of the Hotel’s Formal Gardens and Harvest Plaza.
Noon – 4 p.m.; $65 per person, includes tax and gratuity; $20 per designated driver, includes tax and gratuity
