SEVEN THINGS TO DO IN HERSHEY

This post originally appeared on thefarmgirlgabs.com

Hershey, PA has so many sweet options for both young and old. If you remember last week’s post, I recapped my visit to Hershey as part of their Sweet Welcome with some ideas on Where To Stay In Hershey and some delicious places to eat in Hershey. So now that I got you settled with all the great accommodation and food options, you need some fun things for you and the family to do, right? Hershey is such a fun family destination with options for young, old and every age in between! Luckily for me and my family, this sweet spot is only about two and a half hours from my home so we try to visit at least once a year.

HERSHEYPARK

This summer, discover your Hersheypark HappySM with 14 thrilling coasters and more than 70 attractions. Plus, soak up more fun than ever before at The Boardwalk At Hersheypark®with 2 all-new attractions! Experience splash-filled thrills on our 14th coaster, Breakers EdgeSM Water Coaster and race your way to the finish of the longest mat racing slide in the world, WhitecapSM Racer.

HERSHEY’S CHOCOLATE WORLD

Cap off your visit to Hershey Park with a visit to the adjacent Hershey’s Chocolate World. Discover all things chocolatey and fun at Hershey’s Chocolate World Attraction! Embark on a journey to learn and see how chocolate is made on a free tour ride, share and savor delicious Hershey’s-inspired drinks and treats, shop for one-of-a-kind souvenirs and gifts, and have a chocolate-inspired adventure to remember!

ZOOAMERICA

Visit the wild of North America at ZooAmerica. ZooAmerica is celebrating 40 years as a North American Wildlife Park! Visit for the day, celebrate your wild side and take a behind the scenes tour or even purchase an annual pass. This 11-acre zoo has been a home for more than 200 animals native to the continent of North America.

HERSHEY GARDENS

Hershey Gardens opened in 1937 with Milton Hershey’s request to “create a nice garden of roses.” More than 75 years later, the small rose garden has blossomed into 23 acres of botanical beauty providing visitors with unique experiences and enriching opportunities. Overlooking the town of Hershey, Hershey Gardens features a breathtaking assortment of flowers and shrubs, a stately collection of rare, signature trees, and various programs designed to delight visitors of all ages. Be sure to visit the Children’s Garden and Butterly Atrium too.

HERSHEY STORY MUSEUM

Learning is fun and hands-on at The Hershey Story Museum! There’s so much to do from exploring the life of Milton Hershey to trying your hand at creating a unique chocolate treat of your own. Also, become an apprentice, go on a scavenger hunt, and end your day in the best way – with something tasty and sweet!
