Reese’s Cupfusion Opens Memorial Day Weekend at Hersheypark

All-New Interactive Gaming Ride Features Most Targets in World and Six Unique Ways to Play

Hersheypark amusement park, a 121-acre theme park with more than 70 attractions, a full water park and zoo, will celebrate the unofficial start to summer with the opening of the Reese’s Cupfusion attraction on May 25. The all-new interactive gaming ride features the most targets in the world and six unique ways to play.

Hersheypark is the only amusement park with a gaming attraction that merges the world's love of chocolate and peanut butter to create a sweet, full-sensory adventure for the entire family,” said Vikki Hultquist, General Manager, Attractions & Entertainment. “We hope our first story-based attraction with multiple ways to play encourages guests to ride Reese’s Cupfusion all year.”

The mission of Reese’s Cupfusion is for riders to become agents, protect the factory and ensure the world is never deprived of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. The family friendly ride is located in the Founder’s Way area of the Park for guests 36” and taller (Kisses height requirement and above). Sally Corporation is the manufacturer of Reese’s Cupfusion and Raven Sun Creative handled the overall design of the attraction.

Riders on Reese’s Cupfusion become Reese’s Agent Trainees at a futuristic factory that runs on Reese’s Spirit. At the heart of the factory is the legendary Crystal Cup, which collects and amplifies the love of chocolate and peanut butter to power the factory. Reese’s Agent Trainees protect the Crystal Cup under the guidance of Commander Cup, a new character introduced this summer. However, other new characters like Mint the Merciless and The League of Misfit Candy are on a mission of their own to steal the Crystal Cup.

Riders will power the factory and stun intruders by aiming their amplifier at fixed-based targets, motion-based targets, small media screens, large media screens, individual "Easter Eggs" and cooperative group play that unlocks bonus points. They can try to beat their score with every ride to become a Reese’s Legend in the Hall of Fame.

The mission continues outside Reese’s Cupfusion where guests can take a spin on two kiddie rides taken over by Mint the Merciless and The League of Misfit Candy; grab sweet gear from the Agent Supply Shop retail shop as they exit Reese’s Cupfusion; challenge each other at the Commander Cup Factory Game; meet the all-new Reese’s Cupfusion characters; and fuel up for another ride on Reese’s Cupfusion with new food offerings, including favorites at Chick-fil-A®Nathan's Famous, and Kosher food trucks, and new King Size Milkshakes inspired by Reese’s Cupfusion at Simply Chocolate dessert shop.

Riders on the Reese’s Cupfusion and Whitecap Racer attractions are given the latest technology to track their scores and view a free ride photo through an all-new guest platform called HPGO, which connects a wristband with the Hersheypark app and seamlessly integrates with the enhanced Fast Track program. New this year is Fast Track Unlimited, which allows guests to skip the regular line on up to 14 attractions, including 12 coasters, all day long.

Reese’s Cupfusion joins more than 70 attractions, including 14 mild to wild coasters and more than 20 kiddie rides, at Hersheypark this summer. Included in the one-price admission is The Boardwalk at Hersheypark waterpark, which also opens May 25 with more than one million gallons of water. Guests can make a splash on more than 16 attractions, including Breakers Edge Water Coaster, the first hydromagnetic coaster at Hersheypark, and Whitecap Racer, the longest mat racing slide in the world. ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park, an 11-acre, walk-through zoo that cares for more than 200 animals, is also included with admission to Hersheypark when entered through the Park; hours vary.

Guests who purchase tickets to Hersheypark by June 30, 2019, can save more than 30 percent with the the current Everyone Pays Kids’ Price offer and enjoy the sweetest thrills of the season for $46.95. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.Hersheypark.com.
