Reasons Your Kids Will Love Staying at Hershey Lodge

During our recent getaway to The Sweetest Place on Earth…Hershey, PA, we opted to stay at Hershey Lodge, an official resort of Hersheypark Amusement Park. Hershey Lodge offers an amazing assortment of guest benefits, which in return make it the perfect lodging accommodations for families with kids. Today I’m chatting with you the reasons that your kids will LOVE staying at Hershey Lodge. Kids Check-In
One of the perks at Hershey Lodge is that kids can experience their very own check-in upon arrival, at at separate desk! Kids can sign the Kids at Hershey Lodge Guest Book, pick up activity sheets, and play the Hershey’s guessing game. Kids checking in will also receive their very own chocolate surprise, and a lanyard that can be personalized with their name and contact information.
Hershey’s Water Works
Hershey’s Water Works is an exclusive amenity for overnight guests of the Lodge! The water park features 30,000 square feet of interactive pool-splashing fun, including the popular Twizzlers Twists water slides and the Reese’s Water Walk, as well as a zero entry pool, a sand castle spray zone, and tipping lighthouse!
I think my son’s favorite though are the basketball hoops! I think his only complaint was that he eventually had to share the balls with other children LOL. Otherwise he had a blast shooting hoops!
The Arcades
Located in the Hershey’s Water Works complex, sits a SWEET state-of-the-art arcade! Overnight guests of the hotel can access the arcade 24/7 with their room key.
The arcade includes fun games for all ages such as air hockey, skee ball, claw machine, racing games and more! What’s even better is that guests can rack up points on their guest game card and cash-in for prizes.
There is another arcade located in The Bear’s Den. This arcade is smaller than the one in the Hershey’s Water Works complex. However it is great to keep the kids entertained if you need to kill time before a table is ready!

There is a wide variety of dining options available in Hershey Lodge. However, my son’s favorite, by far, is The Bear’s Den!
This restaurant offers a fun hockey-rink atmosphere modeled after the hometown team, the Hershey Bears, that is perfect for all ages. There are over 39 HD TV’s, plus a giant 7′ x 12′ HD video wall, so you won’t miss any of the latest sports action.
Kids’ Activities
Each weekend, Hershey Lodge offers a variety of family friendly activities, geared towards kids! Guests of all ages can experience Hershey’s Character appearances, animal encounters with ZooAmerica, Chocolate Bingo, s’mores roasts, or kids’ crafts, just to name a few. There is also a Family Game Room over in the Water Works complex!
