One Sweet Minute: December 2020 in Hershey, PA

Welcome, December! As you prepare for your visit to The Sweetest Place On Earth this month, please know that we are operating in accordance with guidelines outlined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Pennsylvania Department of Health, and industry partners.

Hersheypark Christmas Candylane  Open Daily Starting Dec. 4

Hersheypark Christmas Candylane remains open daily with extensive health and safety enhancements in place.

The Park is decked with more than 5 million twinkling lights - the most ever for the seasonal celebration - including a dazzling NOEL light show featuring more than 250,000 dancing lights synchronized to Christmas music. In addition to the lights, guests can enjoy a unique blend of family-friendly rides and thrilling coasters, including the new Candymonium hypercoaster in the all-new Hershey’s Chocolatetown region open for its first winter.

Given the mitigation efforts announced by the Pennsylvania Department of Health, certain indoor attractions, such as Laff Trakk, Reese’s Cupfusion, and Hyperdeck will be closed starting December 12. Our two indoor arcades and indoor game areas are all closed. Indoor dining is unavailable and our retail shops have decreased capacity limits. The photo with Santa will be moved outside the Chevrolet Music Box Theatre.

Hersheypark continues to operate under strict capacity restrictions and requires advanced reservations.

Hershey Sweet Lights Open Nightly Through Jan 3. 2021

Hershey Sweet Lights presented by T-Mobile is a drive-thru attraction featuring two miles of fields and wooded trails decorated with nearly 600 illuminated, animated displays created from about 2 million LED lights. Guests can enjoy the lights from the comfort of their cars while listening to holiday music. Many of the displays follow unique themes like The 12 Days of Christmas, Fairy Tales, a Victorian Village and Hersheypark rides. 

Hershey Sweet Lights is open nightly through Jan. 3, 2021; hours vary. The cost is per car and varies based on the day you chose to visit. Guests enjoy significant savings when tickets are purchased in advance online.

Winter relaxation and gift card deals at spas in Hershey

MeltSpa by Hershey day spa is offering a NEW Chocolate Candy Cane Collection through Jan. 2021. Treatments include body scrub, body wrap, immersion, manicure and pedicure. A Cinnamon Mocha massage is also available.

The Spa At The Hotel Hershey resort spa also features special treatments to relax through the season. A NEW Peppermint Hot Chocolate Hydrating Body Wrap is available through January 2021, as well as a Holiday Spice Massage and Peppermint Mocha Manicure or Pedicure Additional winter-inspired treatments and packages are also highlighted.

Both spas are running gift card offers during the holiday season. Through Dec. 24, purchase (online, over the phone or in-spa):

• $150 or more in MeltSpa by Hershey gift cards and receive a $15 voucher to use toward spa services.
• $250 or more in The Spa At The Hotel Hershey gift cards and receive a $25 voucher to use toward spa services.
• At both spas, guests who purchase gift cards of any amount will also receive a voucher for 10% off spa services.

Winter Fun at ZooAmerica

ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park is open daily in December with the exception of Christmas Day. Winter is a great time to visit the zoo as many of the North American animals in the outdoor habitats are more active when the temperature drops. 

Admission is included with a Christmas Candylane ticket only by accessing the zoo through the Hersheypark bridge during posted park hours. Separate paid admission is also available at the zoo’s off-street entrance. ZooAmerica Annual Pass Holders and Hersheypark Season Pass Holders are free.
