• Hersheypark In The Dark: Hersheypark is open weekends Friday- Sunday, October 16^th – November 1^st.
  • Halloween in Hershey began at ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park 35 years ago when the Zoo kicked off its first ‘Creatures of the Night’ event.
  • Hersheypark’s 13 roller coasters are open to provide lots of thrills, and the wooden coasters and Laff Trakk will operate in darkness the last hour of each evening.
  • Children ages 12 and younger are encouraged to wear costumes and visit Treatville, a safe alternative to Trick-or-Treating.
  • Performances by The Screaming Mummies and Bunsen and the Burners feature seasonal music the entire family will enjoy.

 CHOCOLATE TOWN CHALLENGES

• Sunday, October 18^th: 6^th Annual Hershey Half Marathon.
  • This 13.1 mile run/walk will begin and end at Hersheypark Stadium. A portion of the proceeds will go to Children’s Miracle Network at Penn State Hershey Hospital.
  • Event is sold out, but there is still time to volunteer.

THE HERSHEY STORY, THE MUSEUM ON CHOCOLATE AVENUE

• Thursday, October 1^st, 8^th, 15^th and 22^nd 10 a.m.: Preschool Story Time. A different story and simple craft each week; recommended for children ages 3 to 5. Online registration required at HersheyStory.org.
• October 17^th, 18^th, 24^th, 25^th, 31^st and Nov. 1^st, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.: Black Cat Alley. Halloween craft activities for kids using vintage Hershey advertising art. Kids ages 12 and under are encouraged to come dressed in costume. $5 for all activities.
• Saturday, October 17^th, through Saturday, October 31^st, times vary: Halloween-themed Chocolate Lab Classes. Classes include Chocolate Cobweb Creations and Build a Batty Bar. Other classes throughout the month of October include Be a Chocolate Worker, Build a Bar, Oak Leaves & Acorns and Planet Chocolate. • Friday, October 9^th, through Sunday, November 8^th, during Gardens hours: Bonsai: Living Art of the Susquehanna Bonsai Club. Bonsai exhibit, provided by Susquehanna Bonsai Club, on display in the Butterfly House. Included with admission.
• October 23^rd, 24^th, 30^th and 31^st, 6 - 9 p.m.: Pumpkin Glow. 150 carved, illuminated pumpkins, whimsical scarecrows and storytelling; kids are encouraged to come dressed in costume. Pumpkin carving demonstrations by students from Lebanon County Career and Technology Center. Included with admission.
