Nearly 5,000 Runners, 13.1 Miles and Countless Children's Smiles

On Sunday, October 19, 5,000 runners took off from Hersheypark Stadium, through Hersheypark and all around Hershey, PA to raise funds for the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) at the Penn State Children’s Hospital during the 5th Annual Hershey Half Marathon. Participants were challenged by a 13.1 mile run through Chocolate Town, U.S.A. including passing such landmarks as Milton Hershey School, Mr. Hershey's mansion, Giant Center, Hershey Country Club and Chocolate Avenue, featuring the famous Hershey’s Kiss-shaped street lights. Two unique features of the race are a one-of-a-kind “Chocolate Aid Station” and the "Miracle Mile," a memorable experience for the runners who are encouraged by CMN families. The 2014 Hershey Half Marathon was sold out.

The Children’s Fun Run, a race for children of the runners of the Hershey Half Marathon, took place on the Saturday before the race. Over 300 future half marathoners- ages 2 to 12 took to the field at Hersheypark Stadium for varied course lengths.

Faces speak louder than words so please see below for photos of the fun! We encourage you to share your own images of the race using #HersheyHalf and the @Hersheypark Twitter handle.
