Much Needed Self-Care at The Spa at The Hotel Hershey
As you may know, we are frequent visitors to Hershey, Pennsylvania. A quick trip from Long Island and the family is transported to a town of complete fun. Whenever we travel with the kids, it’s usually all about them. As soon as we arrive, it’s about what they want to do, what they want to eat, or where they want to play.
Well this time, I was treated to a complimentary pedicure at The Spa at The Hotel Hershey. I left the kids exploring the grounds of the amazing Hotel Hershey and off I went for my pedicure appointment. Boy, I had no idea what I was in for….and I mean this in the BEST way possible.
Preparing for the Pedicure
Like most spas, as soon as I arrived at the front desk, it’s like transporting yourself into another world. The relaxing aromas and soft music calm me down immediately. Then I was asked if I wanted to wear a robe. I thought this was a peculiar ask because, to be honest, I had never had a pedicure at a spa. I’m one of those who only gets massages at spas. So I said I didn’t need one but the very curious guy checking me in said “Are you sure? We highly recommend it”. And so I caved, let’s go with the robe.
In we went into the comfortable locker room to change, and off I went to get my pedicure. I sat in the pedicure chair (pressed start), the kind staff offered me some water, handed me the swatches for the nail polish. Then the woman proceeded to give me a warm neck pillow. The pedicure hadn’t even started and I was extremely happy.
BEST. PEDICURE. EVER.
So the pedicure begins. I see 3 different creams laid out on the side not knowing what they were. I soon learned that this chocolate town doesn’t know how to do anything WITHOUT chocolate. But this chocolate lover isn’t complaining.
First I got a chocolate sugar scrub. This was fantastic for clearing out any old skin on my legs. The scrub left me like new.
Then I got a chocolate mask for my feet. Yes, they covered my feet in chocolate. Then proceeded to put the warming boots and left me to just relax.
Finally, the foot massage topped the treatment and my nails were pretty as a princess.
Post Pedicure Relaxation
Once I was able to pull myself up from the massage chair, I was escorted to take a look at the rest of the spa. It had some of the best views of the meticulously curated grounds at The Hotel Hotel. The spa has different quite rooms. You are welcome to sit in any of them and relax before or after your treatment.
