Meet Hershey Country Club's Executive Chef

Hershey Country Club (HCC) is thrilled to welcome a new Executive Chef, Johannette (Jo) Koller. Since joining the team in September, Chef Jo has created an exceptional dining atmosphere that heightens the member experience and leaves guests with lasting memories. 

Throughout her career, Chef Jo has worked for various pastry and dining outlets, and been fortunate to work for notable chefs such as Bobby Flay. Chef Jo worked in Major League Baseball stadiums, including Fenway Park and Citi Field. In 2020, she competed and won the television cooking show Chopped Sweets. Chef Jo earned her Bachelor's Degree from Johnson and Wales University in 2010, with a major in Pastry Arts and a minor in Wine Studies.

Although she began on the pastry side of the business, she has showcased her skills in savory dishes that shine through as she crafts new seasonal menus for members to enjoy. Her understanding of all aspects of the culinary world brings a sweet touch that balances out our rich offerings at Hogan Grill, ensuring that there is always room for dessert.

Additionally, Chef Jo has dedicated her time to reimagining HCC’s favorite member events that invite new concepts to the memorable experiences the Club provides for members. Recently, she took the lead in vamping up our annual Date Night Cooking Demo event. Members not only had the opportunity to watch her demonstrate her skills, but they also cooked their own meals, and shared an intimate dinner with their significant other on Valentine’s Day.

Beyond the kitchen, Chef Jo continues to cultivate a unique connection between her culinary team and our members. Breaking the traditional barriers, she orchestrates engaging experiences, allowing members to get to know the talented individuals behind the scenes. 

Aside from her culinary talents, Chef Jo brings a bubbly personality to the table that fosters an effortless environment of togetherness among the HCC Team. Hershey Country Club is delighted to have her on our team, and we can not wait to see where her skills lead us next.
