Last Fall Coaster Rides of 2025 at Hersheypark

Time is running out to experience the thrills and chills of Hersheypark Halloween and Dark Nights presented by Reese's and Kit Kat® at Hersheypark amusement park! The Halloween season at the largest amusement park in Pennsylvania offers a variety of experiences, ranging from sweet to scary, including 14 iconic coasters, trick-or-treating, thrilling entertainment, five unique haunted house experiences and four scare zones. 

Did you know that Hersheypark Halloween is the last chance to enjoy some of the Northeast's largest coaster collection before select coasters from the lineup close for the 2025 operating year? Follow along for a complete rundown of when each coaster will take its final lap of the year.

Coasters Closing After November 2

With the colder months fast approaching, it's almost time for some of the high-thrill coasters to close as they prepare for winter maintenance ahead of the 2026 operating season. The following coasters will give their final rides of the year on Nov. 2 and won't return until the start of Spring Weekends: 

• Comet: Oldest coaster at Hersheypark, featuring 3,360 feet of wooden track and several airtime-producing bunny hills
• Fahrenheit: Steep coaster featuring a 97-degree drop from a 121-foot lift hill
• Great Bear: Fan-favorite inverted steel coaster where riders sit under the track and experience four inversions\
• Lightning Racer: Dueling wooden coaster with two mirrored tracks for the thrill of competition
• Skyrush: First-class flight reaching an altitude of 200 feet and speeds of 75 mph
• Storm Runner: Only launch coaster of its kind in the Northeast, launching guests from 0 to 72 mph in just two seconds
• Trailblazer: Family coaster that takes guests through Pioneer Frontier

Thrill seekers who visit during the final two weekends of Hersheypark Halloween and Dark Nights can also enjoy lights-out rides on Candymonium, Comet, Lightning Racer and Wildcat's Revenge during the last operating hour of Hersheypark Halloween (9-10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, 8-9 p.m. on Sundays). 

Coasters Open Through Christmas Candylane

While the coasters listed above close with the end of Hersheypark Halloween, seven remain open through Hersheypark Christmas Candylane, weather permitting. A holiday tradition for more than 40 years, Hersheypark Christmas Candylane operates on select dates from Nov. 14 through Jan. 4, 2026. Hersheypark is one of the few remaining places along the East Coast to see holiday lights from roller coasters!

• Cocoa Cruiser: Bite-sized coaster that's perfect for small thrill seekers
• Jolly Rancher Remix: Multi-sensory boomerang coaster featuring seasonal lighting and scents
• Laff Trakk: Indoor, spinning, glowing family coaster that pays homage to the classic funhouse experience
• sooperdooperLooper: First modern looping coaster on the East Coast with small drops, graceful dips and bunny hills
• Wild Mouse: Classic coaster with tight corners, sharp turns and sudden drops
• Wildcat's Revenge: Hybrid coaster of wood and steel featuring an 82-degree drop and the world's largest underflip
