Jason White Named Theme Park Influencer in 2020 blooloop 50

Congratulations to Jason White, our Managing Director, Corporate Safety and Security, who was recently named to the 2020 blooloop 50 theme park influencer list. blooloop notes, "With the blooloop 50, we celebrate the work of key individuals in the theme park business. This year is unique and the list reflects not only the leaders, but also the key creatives and innovators who are shaping the response to the coronavirus pandemic."

blooloop highlighted the work that Jason and his team did to safely reopen Hersheypark during this unprecedented time saying, "During the coronavirus pandemic, he has helped both his park and others in the US understand what is required in terms of safety amid ‘the new normal’."

In its article about the safety initiatives implemented at Hersheypark under Jason's leadership, blooloop noted that "Jason and his team work hard behind the scenes at the Park to ensure guests enjoy a trouble-free day out with their friends and family. Temperature screening, sanitation stations, and timed ticketing are just some of the measures the park has implemented in response to COVID-19. This season White has also overseen the implementation of a touchless security screening system that largely eliminates manual bag checks."

Before joining Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Company in 2005, White worked for The Wackenhut Corporation and Capital Security Agency and served in the United States Army for four years. A graduate of Harrisburg Area Community College, Jason is a member of the American Society for Industrial Security, International Association of Emergency Managers, International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions, and American Society for Amusement Park Safety and Security organizations. He earned the Certified Protection Professional designation in 2007.
