It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like…

A Chocolate Avenue Christmas Preview

Christmas in Hershey is a magical season, full of sweet treats where families create lasting memories. This year, Hershey Lodge presents A Chocolate Avenue Christmas, a new dinner theatre. The show debuted on Friday, and we’ve put together some highlights for you.

To deliver this special event to you, we partnered with EMMY® Award-winning, New York City-based RWS and Associates to bring a taste of Broadway to Hershey. A Chocolate Avenue Christmas is a show for the whole family to enjoy. The talented cast of eight professional singers and dancers take you through a musical journey that helps rediscover why Christmas is the most beautiful time of year. After each show, the cast is available for meet and greet opportunities!

About the Show
The show is a 60-minute musical revue with festive dancing and beautiful voices. It has the vibe of classic, traditional Christmas that’s appropriate for the entire family. Each scene answers the question, “What is Christmas?” and covers a vast time span:

Christmas is Celebration
This scene is set in a 1920s night club, with flapper style clothing.

Christmas is Giving
Set in a 1950s shopping mall, this scene is all about the spirit of giving.

Christmas is Delicious
This scene is in an old candy factory, and it’s an exciting one! Santa and Mrs. Claus make an appearance and the set changes into a bright, vibrant world.

Christmas is Coming Home
A 1940s radio station is the center of this scene. A businessman is excited to make his way home for the holidays.

Christmas is Family
You’re invited into a traditional, Norman Rockwell-esque family home. Here, a young boy wishes he could be Santa Claus and has a special moment with St. Nick himself!

Christmas is Beautiful
The closing scene is – simply put – beautiful. The cast sings and dances the night away.

The menu for A Chocolate Avenue Christmas includes a family-style reception of regional cheeses and meats, pretzels, flatbread and whole grain mustard. The meal continues with a frisee salad, roast turkey entrée with traditional fixings and a chocolate dessert. The children’s menu includes crispy chicken tenders and baked macaroni & cheese. Additional appetizers and alcoholic beverages are available for purchase.

The show is held in the Red Room at Hershey Lodge on select dates through Sunday, December 28. Both noon matinee and 6 p.m. dinner shows are offered. Price is $55.95 for adults (age 13 and up) and $29.96 for children (ages 3-12). Ages 2 and under are free. Reservations are required and can be made online at www.HersheyLodge.com/dining/christmas-show.php or by calling 717-508-2697.
