How To Soak Up The Last Weekend of Summer

It’s almost Labor Day and the unofficial end to summer. I am making my plans now so I can maximize my fun in the sun. Fun in the sun means lots of water activity to me; so I am going to spend some quality time at The Boardwalk At Hersheypark before it closes for the season (last day is Monday, September 5). Here is my five-step plan to my weekend of fun at Hersheypark:

  1. Get there early! The Boardwalk opens at 10 a.m. so I plan to be in line at the front gates by 9:45 a.m. so I can secure a nice comfortable chair under one of those large sun umbrellas.

  2. Pack well. I need to bring a bathing suit, water shoes, towel and comfortable clothes to change into at the end of my Boardwalk day. Notice I did not say “sunscreen?” Well, I probably will pack that but there is FREE sunscreen at the Park so in case I forget, I am still good to go.

  3. Get in line for my favorite attractions: Coastline Plunge. There are several slide choices so I will need to ride each one.

  4. Save room for lunch and dinner. I have two favorite eating spots at The Boardwalk. I plan to have lunch at Nathan’s and dinner at Shoreline Grill.

  5. My end of day treat: Fro Yo. No surprise here. I do love the Premium Frozen Yogurt stand in Founder’s Way!

That’s my Labor Day weekend plan. How about you? If you haven’t made your plans maybe you want to come out to the Park too. You can learn more about Hersheypark here: www.Hersheypark.com.
