How Hersheypark Camping Resort Celebrates Halloween 2023
Campers get creative with pumpkin & site decorating contests and more campground fun!
Happy Halloween from Hersheypark Camping Resort!
During the last three weekends of the Halloween season, the 55-acre campground in Hershey, Pa. comes alive with decked-out pumpkins, creative costumes, and campsites covered in spider webs and lit-up inflatables as guests celebrate with Halloween contests and fun.
Throughout these weekends (Oct. 13-15, 20-22 and 27-29), campers participated in a variety of Halloween-themed activities, starting on Fridays with Kids' Check-In, where children could begin their Halloween getaway by signing the Kids' Check-In book, spinning a prize wheel, playing a Hershey's candy guessing game and picking up a Halloween craft. Families also enjoyed the Trick-or-Treat Trail held in the Lazy River Rest area on Saturday mornings. Plus, one of the campground's favorite traditions returned with a lineup of sweet Halloween contests, including:
- Costume Contest: Prizes awarded for the cutest, scariest and most original costumes for age groups 0-4, 5-8, 9-13, and 14+, plus best family theme and pets, too.
- Pumpkin Decorating Contest: Carve or decorate your own pumpkin and drop it off for judging.
- Campsite Decorating Contest: Decorate your campsite or cabin for a chance to win up to $150 off your next stay.
Each year, our campers impress us with their Halloween spirit and creativity, especially when it comes to the Pumpkin and Site Decorating Contests. Take a look at some of the spooktacular entries from this season below.
