Hershey's Kiss Raise: Get the Facts

Since 2005, Hershey, PA has been raising the iconic Hershey's Kiss above The Sweetest Place On Earth! At the stroke of midnight, many communities lower a symbol related to their town, but in Hershey, we lift a Hershey's Kiss, a nod to the town that chocolate built. With glorious fireworks high in the sky, the Kiss is hoisted on the side of the historic Hershey Press Building - three stories off the ground.

Did you know that the Hershey's Kiss is 300 pounds and stands more than seven feet tall and is 8 inches across? With the massive Kisses plume, the structure grows to 12 feet tall. The Hershey's Kiss raise has become synonymous with New Year's Eve in Hershey. The oversized confection was made locally by Stoner Graphix, Inc. of Hummelstown, PA. Throughout the year, it is stored by the Hersheypark maintenance team and gets spruced up by the Park's talented sign shop team members.

An annual test raise takes place, today, December 27, 2018, so if you can't make it to midnight (like me!), stop by the corner of Park Boulevard and Chocolate Avenue today around 2 p.m.
