Hershey Sweet Lights Now Open Nightly for 2022 Holiday Season

A Guide to Drive-Through Attraction in Hershey With 600 Light Displays

Hershey Sweet Lights presented by Members 1st Federal Credit Union is now open nightly through Jan. 1, 2023. The two-mile Christmas light attraction is a holiday tradition for many families in the Mid-Atlantic region. Overall Experience

Hershey Sweet Lights features two miles of fields and wooded trails decorated with nearly 600 illuminated, animated displays with unique themes created from about 2 million LED lights. People may recognize some familiar Hersheypark rides and The 12 Days of Christmas transformed into large light displays at the beginning of the experience. Guests will then drive into the forest portion with Fairy Tales and a Victorian Village. View the 15-second clip before for a glimpse at the overall experience.

Tip: A fun family tradition is counting the number of reindeer displays hidden throughout the experience.

Hours 

Hershey Sweet Lights opens nightly at 5 p.m., with the closing time varying by night. Hours can be viewed here. Weekend evenings and holidays tend to be the most popular. Monday through Thursday are typically less busy days to visit.

Tip: Consider arriving as close to 5 p.m. as possible to avoid long lines.

Location

Hershey Sweet Lights is located just minutes away from Hersheypark amusement park between Route 39 and Sand Beach Road. The address is 1183 Sandbeach Road, Hershey, PA 17033. From Hersheypark Drive, go north on Sand Beach Road for approximately 1/2 mile. Follow signs to Boathouse Road to the Hershey Sweet Lights entrance.

Holiday Music

Guests can enjoy the lights from the comfort of their cars while listening to holiday music. New this year is a custom music station provided through the iHeartradio app. 

Tip: Download the free iHeartRadio App before visiting and then search for the Hershey Sweet Lights station upon arrival.

Admission

Hershey Sweet Lights is a separate ticketed experience from Christmas Candylane with one fee per vehicle. Guests are encouraged to buy early and online to save. Pricing varies depending on the date of the visit. Admission for a single car (seats up to 8 people) starts at $23.95 plus taxes and fees when purchased in advance online. Two pairs of Holospec glasses are included. Van admission (seats 9-15 people) is $48.15 plus taxes and fees. Bus and Minibus admission must be purchased through the Hersheypark Group Sales team.

Tip: Online purchases end each night at 5 p.m. for same-day tickets. After 5 p.m., full-price tickets are available for purchase in-person at the entrance booth.
