Hershey Lodge Appoints New General Manager

Jason Heath to Fill Role on July 1, 2016

(Hershey, Pa. – January 7, 2016) – Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Company (HE&R) announced today the promotion of Jason Heath to the position of general manager of Hershey Lodge, effective July 1, 2016. Currently, Heath is managing director of resorts sales and revenue management for HE&R. Last August, HE&R announced the retirement of current general manager, Frank Gilbert, effective June 30, 2016, after more than 41 years of service with the company.

In this position, Heath will oversee the entire operation of Hershey Lodge. The Lodge welcomes guests to its 665 guest rooms; four restaurants, coffee shop and poolside café; more than 100,000 square feet of meeting space; retail areas; and recreation offerings – including Hershey's Water Works at Hershey Lodge, a new indoor pool complex, anticipated to open Memorial Day 2016.

Heath has more than 24 years of hospitality, sales and marketing experience in the hotel and resort industries throughout the United States. Prior to joining HE&R, Heath spent two years with Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort & Spa in Florida. He also has 10 years of experience with Starwood Hotels and Resorts at properties including Westin Atlanta North at Perimeter and The Westin Resort Hilton Head Island in South Carolina. Heath also has worked at independent golf and beach resorts including Daufuskie Island Resort and Breathe Spa and The Sea Pines Resort, both in South Carolina.

"In Jason's time at HE&R, he has proven to be a strong leader and asset to our team, making him the perfect person to fill the general manager position at Hershey Lodge," said John Lawn, Chief Operating Officer for HE&R. "His experience at leading resorts and spas around the country further demonstrates his fit for this role."
